having the occasional nice skincare product really sucks sometimes when you have to find the cheap alternative after running out 😭😭😭 like i really can't spend that much on another tub, but i'm worried anything else will break me out or have Bad Skin Feelings

hiiii i havent been on here in a while but i remember u put me on the rom&nd lip tints like 2 years ago and theyre still like my favorite lip stains ever i need an updated beauty recs from u anything and everything pls and thank u 🤗
omg i literally remember that its been so long LOL im literally so happy that you liked them though!!! and i get really rambly when i rec stuff so be prepared 🙈as for recs as far as kbeauty stuff goes romand lip products remain the best they are so good all across the board although their juicy lasting tints are my favs especially the shade nucadamia. i also have a couple of eye palettes from them and they are sooo nice for a wash of color and i want the glitter palette as well it looks so gorgeous. and then for other kbeauty stuff the missha glitter prism eye shadows (liquid or the single pressed ones) are soooo gorgeous the pressed ones especially are duochromes that look super wet and sparkly on the eye theyre so pretty and unique and AFFORDABLE! korean products are the way to go if you want sparkly iridescent glittery eye products literally so gorgeous
and then my fav lip products other than those recently have been tinted balms just with any random neutral/nude lipliner because ive been keeping it kind simple and natural. and far and away the best lip balms i have tried on the market right now (my opinion) are the dior lip glow balms. dior in general has the best lip products i have ever tried but the balms especially are out of this world i especially love the shade coral with a good lipliner. it makes your lips look so much bigger and it STAINS soooo much you can eat anything like a whole meal and you can still see it on your lips. i have 4 shades and as insanely expensive as they are i think personally theyre so worth it. because they are the best best best formula available atm. i also love the milani matte bullet lipsticks they are so insanely good and nearly exact dupes for charlotte tilbury and also milani blushes are soooooooooo good. ok i could go on and i will if you want me to but im gonna stop myself for now. thank you for the ask though i cant believe you remember me recommending those from so long ago lol thats so cool honestly!!

AMUSE Dew lip tint IS a literal dupe of the ysl lip stain. It comes in different colors and although it shows up a lot better on less pimented skin, a lighter concelar on the top with THIS is the PERFECT Kbeauty look

Dupe Alert!! Smashbox Minimize Pores Primer
Tumblr media
Price: smashbox $50 30mL vs.  innisfree $15 25mL
I recently received the innisfree no sebum blur primer in the mail! I’ve been looking forward to this for a bit as I’ve been missing a primer and (as always) want to try out new products.
Tumblr media
It disappears into the skin just like smashbox and is a much more affordable alternative. They both have a putty like consistency. I honestly think the innisfree one is easier to work with as it melts into the skin faster. It has some resemblance to the I bought it from chuusi but it’s also available on YesStyle and iHerb.
Wearing this primer alone also offers a nice blur in the skin for a no-makeup look.
The no sebum blur primer is slightly drier than the smashbox primer but it isn’t drying- it’s better described as less hydrating and better for oily skin.
ya kk bai guys

hi! i love your blog! i was wondering whether you have any dupes for la roche posay cosmetics? anything that a full time student, that works two minimum wage jobs on the side, could find more affordable. i have combination skin and i use la roche posay effaclar duo and gel. i also use the toleriane sensitive fluide and their spf. while all of that works amazing, it's pretty expensive for me :( thank you for providing us with all of this info and being amazing!! xx <3
hey! i totally relate to the struggle, skincare can get really pricy really fast and we tend to forget how much of a luxury it is. i don't know what's accessible to you — for instance, i save a lot shopping on yesstyle since asian beauty products tend to be affordable and you can stack coupons, codes and reward points with their regular sales to get a very discounted price, but depending on how much you buy and where you live, the shipping and customs fees (the latter are redeemable on your next purchase, but it's still an upfront cost) can be too much. i also don't know which brands are local to you and which are costlier where you shop, which complicates it further.
sadly, french pharmacy brands have complex, multi-active formulas that are hard to find direct dupes for, especially at lower price points. effaclar duo is one such product: containing niacinamide, zinc, salicylic acid and lipo hydroxy acid (i'm looking at the EU version), if you were to attempt to cobble a similar active profile from a budget brand like the ordinary you'd be looking at 4 separate products amounting to $20-30, and you wouldn't have the same non-active ingredient profile to boost skin tolerance and effectiveness. (if the effaclar duo you use is the USA treatment version with benzoyl peroxide, a generic OTC BPO product is likely to achieve similar results, if in a harsher way.)
the sensitive fluide is easily interchangeable with any other lightweight moisturizer. my HG bestie, the mizon snail recovery gel cream, costs less for slightly more product, but again i don't know how accessible kbeauty is to you. my budget SPF recs are also from asian brands, namely the bioré UV aqua rich light up essence (0.18€/ml as opposed to the LRP shaka fluid which can be about 0.40€/ml depending on where you buy it). it should be noted that this is a less heavy-duty sunscreen than the LRP shaka fluid, which is better in terms of water and sweat resistance; however, for daily wear, it is still excellent.
sadly, skincare is an expensive thing; while some items are a luxury, others, like acne treatments and sun protection, are a necessity for the vast majority out there, and they are extremely pricey when compared to other basic needs. from a formulator's POV, i understand how much it costs to manufacture and distribute a skincare product, but i still believe we need to strive towards more affordable, yet reliable solutions that are accessible to everyone. sorry that i can't be of more help, but i hope this at least gives you some pointers in the right direction!

Is iUNIK Centella Calming Gel Cream a Worthy Neutrogena Hydro Boost Dupe?
Tumblr media
Get ready for the ultimate face-off: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Vs. iUNIK Centella Calming Gel Cream.
I'm excited to share that I'm starting a series on the blog in collaboration with YesStyle: Western Beauty Vs. K-Beauty Dupe.✨
Just a heads-up – finding identincal products in the beauty world is not possible unless they're manufactured in the same place. However, we can find alternatives that perform similarly or are close in texture and color.
Check out my blog post to learn more about these two products: Is iUNIK Centella Calming Gel Cream a Worthy Neutrogena Hydro Boost Dupe?
Have you tried these before? Let me know!

it's so annoying the way western beauty brands dupe consumers into paying premiums on what are essentially private labelled kbeauty products that have been used in asia for years. like oil/balm cleansers, acid masks, gel cushions etc you can get those for drugstore prices from kbeauty brands if you know where to shop and they are cheaper And better.

❤️ Winter to Spring Korean Makeup Review X Yesstyle is on my youtube channel. Check out the dupes of luxury brands. One of the amazing find is this The Saem Saemmul Eye Primer 1057098591 Review: This primer very budget friendly and get rave for the ability to hold your eye makeup. It does start a bit oily so let it dry a bit before applying your eyeliner and your eyeshadow. It makes the eyeshadow that normally fades not budge even one bit and never smudge but 8hours. The pigment also becomes more apparent with it. It is a good dupe of the expensive western brand ‘U’. Highly recommend it to get. YUERAIN999 (2-5% off) and ⭐ SELF21⭐ to get 10% off US$35 & 12% off US$89 & 15% off US$149 @yesstyle @yesstyleinfluencers #yesstyle #yesstyleinfluencers #kbeauty #yesstylecoupon #thesaem #rasianbeauty #韩国 #皮肤护理 #makeupdupes #korean #koreanstyle #koreaneabeauty #youtube #youtuber #youtubechannel #youtubevideos #koreanmakeup #cosmetics https://www.instagram.com/p/CPTMu_LHDPe/?utm_medium=tumblr

What's a good face moisturiser? The one I was using previously was just thick and not sinking in and I've been using micellar water instead (preferable cruelty free and/or kbeauty or jbeauty!)
A good bb cream? I got the la roche-posay sample in a beauty subscription box (shade light) and I loved it. If there's any affordable dupes (again, cruelty free and/or kbeauty or kbeauty!)

✨Elf Haul✨ Made a small @elfcosmetics haul last month during their 50% off sale. I picked up the 19 piece brush set, acne fighting foundation and poreless putty primer! I was super curious about the primer especially given that I’ve heard that it is a very good dupe for the Tatcha Silk Canvas that I love so much! The brush set was something I’ve eyed for awhile since @hersensitiveskin introduced their brushes to me. They’re incredibly affordable and so soft! Lastly, @thepamperplace shared her use of the acne fighting foudnarion and primer on her stories and it got me curious! I gave the primer a miss but decided to go for the foundation. So far, I’ve really enjoyed using the primer and foundation duo! My skin is comfortable all day and even after removal! . . . #Skincare #makeup #makeupflatlay #makeupflatlays #makeuplover #beautygram #beautyaddict #itgtopshelfie #intothegloss #kbeauty #instamakeup #igmakeup #makeupobsessed #igsg #sgig #singapore #motd #makeupoftheday #flatlays #abcommunity #abbeatthealgorithm #abblogger #shelfielust #discoverunder5k #discoverunder100k #elfcosmetics (at Singapore) https://www.instagram.com/p/BziFuFaHEDp/?igshid=sp3dvmsi1q88
