The summer is winding down, and the first day of school is right around the corner. All summer long, Ollie has tried to convince his parents to let him move his room to the basement. He is a Junior this year, and it’s time to move away from the little kids room. (Those are Ollie’s words to his friend, Xander Haney).

The way my real life experiences with having an ace ring have been so literary like. First the infamous post about the guy noticing my ring and inviting me to join the aro/ace club. Like, that’s literally straight out of a coming-of-age novel about a freshman in college struggling to find friends and identifying a lot with their identity, which they’ve never had a chance to talk about with other people who share it. Then, I lost that ring when I was moving back home sometime last year, I think when I came back fro Christmas. And I had been questioning my identity a bit before but now I identify as strictly queer and have moved away from my aspec identities so it feels a bit TOO much like symbolism there. Like bro the universe was straight up using that ring as a plot device in my life.
