Kaum ist der Tonfilm erfunden, tauchen die Marx Brothers auf und reden nur Unfug. Außer Harpo natürlich. Der Film ist auch der Grund, warum wir Viadukte einfach nicht mehr ernst nehmen können.

Here are my daily SUTS recommendations, aka what to tune in or set your DVR/PVR for. All times Eastern.
August 12 — Ann Sothern
Born Harriette Arlene Lake in 1909 in Valley City, South Dakota, Sothern debuted in silents in 1927. She dyed her red hair blonde for roles like the MAISIE comedy series, which was intended to be only one ‘B’ picture, originally for Jean Harlow. As Sothern’s popularity in film waned, she was successful on TV, where she appeared in sitcoms and earned several Emmy noms for, yep, “The Ann Sothern Show.”
6:00 AM WALKING ON AIR (1936) 7:30 AM THERE GOES MY GIRL (1937) Before 1939, Sothern made five musical comedies with Gene Raymond, and they’re so interesting; to me, both actors’ talents are underrated.
8:00 PM A LETTER TO THREE WIVES (1948) You truly cannot go wrong with this one. Bonus points if you can figure out the ending.
12:00 AM THE WHALES OF AUGUST (1987) Would someone lose their Bette Davis Devotee card if they haven’t seen this? Asking for a friend...
