Social Distortion Biografi

Social Distortion Band punk asal LA yang kekal sudah menangani banyak perubahan personil, matinya adegan in-your-face Los Angeles yang menghasilkan mereka, serta ketagihan heroin dari vokalis/gitaris/pimpinan band Mike Ness untuk capai ukuran akseptasi arus penting untuk akar mereka, keras memukul punk tanpa ada sepakat. Di inspirasi oleh adegan punk L.A. yang subur, Ness membuat group di tahun 1978 dengan drummer Casey Royer serta saudara Frank (bass) serta Rikk Agnew (gitar). Saat saudara-saudara pergi untuk masuk dengan Adolescents, rekan sekolah Ness, Dennis Danell masuk dengan bass; sekian tahun selanjutnya lihat keanggotaan pintu putar.

Kiprah Album

Saat group pada akhirnya merekam collection kiprahnya, Mommy Little Monster di tahun 1983, band ini terbagi dalam Ness, Danell (saat ini gitar), bassis Brent Liles, serta drummer Derek O'Brien. Musik mereka seringkali dilukiskan untuk versus punk dari Rolling Stones, serta "Another State of Mind" salah satu dari beberapa video punk yang disiarkan di MTV di tahun 1984. Tetapi, band ini memerlukan waktu empat tahun untuk merekam tindak lanjut, seperti Ness jadi ketagihan heroin serta sikap pemberontak yang sadarkan diri.

Live at the Roxy diiringi di tahun 1998, serta satu tahun selanjutnya Ness keluarkan sepasang collection solo, Cheating at Solitaire serta koleksi sampul Under the Influences.

Kehilangan Si Gitaris

Danell wafat 29 Februari 2000 sebab aneurisma penyakit didalam otak yang jelas; gitaris itu baru berumur 38 tahun. Pada musim luruh 2000, Jonny Wickersham masuk untuk gitaris baru group, serta Charlie Quintana menggantikan drum dari Biskuit yang seringkali repot. Sesudah tour yang luas, band ini kembali pada studio di tahun 2004 untuk merekam Seks, Love and Rock 'n' Roll. Enam tahun berlalu sebelum Social D kembali pada rekaman. Dibuat oleh Mike Ness sendiri, Hard Times serta Rhymes Nursery 2011 yang mengkilap tetapi berotot tampilkan jejeran baru, dengan bassis Brent Harding serta putra Los Lobos David Hidalgo, drummer David Hidalgo Jr. masuk dengan Wickersham serta Ness.
