Hey, y'all remember we did the Scar support weekend that one time? Maybe it would be cool to do that or something similar for Joe Hills of Nashville Tennessee? I know his fanbase isn't nearly as big but considering the sexyman poll nonsense I think it still will be pretty great!

The most fascinating thing about this whole Joe Hills sexyman campaign to me is that it's so quickly becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy. Would I have picked Joe out of the lineup to win at the start? If I'm honest, probably not. But now, after all the art and the feral campaigning and the pure dash-flooding energy of the past few days? Yeah. Absolutely yeah. The event itself is moulding Joe into the pinnacle of Tumblr sexyman in the course of its own progression, and that type of meta is so hilariously in line with the Joe Energy we know and love. this truly is the Joe Hills Difference

1. one time a friend of mine asked him for a bread recipe on twitter because i was too nervous to do it myself and he never replied and so then like 2 years later i @d him about it and then he said he didnt have the bread recipe so i never got to make sourdough bread but the bread looked really good so i had to find my own recipe and now i dont make sourdough but i do make french bread because i killed my sourdough starter on accident even though it had been going strong for like a year straight and it was super disappointing when i realized it had died and that sucked so much

for the record i hope no quackity fans feel like they were being biased against bc ''dsmp is cringe'' or anything. theres almost definitely SOME bad eggs that voted with that in mind but the majority of joe fans are just really, really excited about their guy making it this far.

#hell quackity is literally my favourite dsmp character y'kno #but the fact joe mcfrickin hills is up to semifinals in what is partially a mcyt popularity contest? insane to me.

why is hotguy evil?

I think this clip explains why pretty neatly (from a Joe Hills stream back in October). For context: he had been trying to kill Joe for a while, and was threatening to murder one of his frogs. He was distracted by Jellie's meows, and Joe used the distraction to leave. Once he came back, the frogs were alive and this happened:

Joe: See? I knew Scar wouldn't murder a frog if I wasn't looking. He ONLY murders things when people are looking. He doesn't see the VALUE otherwise.

This clip has shaped the way I see Hotguy forever: an attention seeker individual with no morals (said in the most positive of tones).

He needs there to be an audience. He will just not care otherwise.

Is this me exaggerating? Definitely! But that's what the mcyt fandom is at the end of the day.
