Even though Louis (as far as I remember) Louis only talked about no wanting to perform miss you on tour, i don’t remember him saying anything about back to you or jly in years, he completely ghosts those songs, but he always open his shows with JHO even though it’s older than the other three? But it’s obviously way more significant

I think of Just Hold On, Two of Us, and Fearless as Louis’ three tributes to Jay, and perhaps to Fizzy too— who was so similar to Louis in her intelligence, her compassion and willingness to help others, and her persistence to speak up for justice.

These songs are for his family. I’m sure Louis would have loved for Jay to see him on tour. She would have been 48 next year — still a very young age.

Okay guys!!! I’m beyond excited to show off my new American Girl Doll!!! She’s not only another doll to add to my collection, but she’s a Pleasant Company Just Like You (now called Truly Me, but I still call them JLY, sue me) doll!!!!! If you don’t know much about AG dolls and the company, let me fill you in!

So basically, Pleasant Company was the original founder/creator of the American Girl franchise. However, in 1998, Mattel bought the company. And by 2001 (I believe), most, if not all, of their dolls were rebranded to show they were now Mattel merchandise (as in the stamps on the back of their necks no longer said “Pleasant Company,” just to name one change).

I’ve always wanted a PC doll bc they were the creators of these dolls that always bring me happiness. I feel like it’d just be such an honor to have one, yknow?

Finding PC dolls still in good condition is rare (compared to the Mattel dolls obviously bc you can just go online and buy one brand new). In the past 8 years I’ve been collecting the dolls, and 12 years I’ve known about the dolls, I’ve never come across one in an antique store, thrift shop, garage sale, etc., UNTIL NOW!!!

I found a Pleasant Company JLY #13 doll in a small antique shop near where I live, and let me tell you, I FREAKED OUT. Like, I’ve been searching for AG dolls in these secondhand stores for YEARS. And to top it off, she’s PC AND in good condition???? Like unbelievably good condition?? Also, she was $48. FORTY-EIGHT DOLLARS. Honestly, I felt like I found a long-lost treasure chest that I’ve been searching for my whole life!

I’ve done a bit of research on other aspects of her (like her body tag) and I believe she was made between 1998-2000. That would make her 19-21 years old!!! She literally could be older than me! That’s just insane and I can’t put into words how happy I am to have her in my collection!! (I have 8 now!)

She didn’t come with her original meet clothing, unfortunately, but she did come in the cute outfit she’s wearing in the pictures above! Her hair isn’t too bad at all. I did give her a little bit of a trim and I plan on washing and straightening it to keep the short random flyaway hairs down. Her limbs are pretty loose, which is expected bc of her age, but I almost love that their loose bc it shows the authenticity of her age!! Oh my god, I just love her so much!!! I have a few names in mind for her, but I’m not sure what to choose yet! These names include Eleanor, Grace, Lily, and Alice. What do y’all think???

IM JUST SO EXCITED I HOPE SOMEONE ACTUALLY READ THIS MY BOYFRIEND IS THE ONLY PERSON I TALK TO ABOUT AG STUFF AND I NEED SOMEONE ELSE TO FEEL MY EXCITEMENT!!!

I also might make a separate tumblr for my AG dolls bc playing with/collecting them goes outside of my age regression.
