Favorite pizza toppings? Cheese (feta too if the place offers it), spinach and crumbled meatballs if offered. Some places have just crumbled hamburger, which will do. This one local place I go to also has pesto drizzle and olive oil drizzle to put on top, which I like.

Chips or popcorn? Popcorn. Especially with garlic parm seasoning.

I’M AFRAID OF SILENCE? I’m not afraid of it, but I don’t like it. I have to have some noise. Part of the reason I sleep with my TV on is because of that. I hate when it’s completely silent. Silent reading in school was the absolute worst. It makes me anxious.

Krieger kids favorite snacks and drinks?

Of course these will change a bit over time, but up to where we are now, 2026, here’s the answer for favorite meals and things:

Drew - Gram’s mac & cheese is his all-time favorite. He prefers apple juice in his sippy cup and Capri suns. He likes plain foods like Ashlyn’s nachos (they’re only spicy if you dip in the salsa) and Ali’s rice and beans with chicken (just as he did when he was first eating finger foods as a little baby). He is the biggest bread-lover in the family. He loves shrimp cocktail and has been known to stand next to whatever table had the appetizer set up on it and devour them until somebody shooed him away (as long as the cocktail sauce wasn’t too spicy). His favorite ice cream is chocolate with jimmies (chocolate sprinkles) on it. He still loves peanut butter and used to eat it with practically every meal when he was a toddler.

Josie - chicken nuggets with sauce (ketchup), pizza, rice pilaf and Gram’s mac & cheese are her favorites. She likes to eat raw veggies with dip (ranch dressing), and fruit - especially grapes and blueberries. She prefers orange juice in her sippy cup but likes to drink the organic chocolate milk (in the little juice box style box with a straw) with her dinner. Her favorite ice cream is chocolate with chocolate sauce on it.

Dodge - Gram’s mac & cheese is his favorite, closely followed by a cheeseburger. He and Josie are the two best eaters, by far, and he also liked orange juice in his sippy cup and chocolate milk with his meals. He wasn’t crazy about vegetables but would eat them (carrots mostly) with dip (ranch sauce). He would much rather have more of the main course or fruit instead of veggies if he could get away with it. His favorite ice cream is vanilla with chocolate sauce and then he mixes it all up in his bowl until it’s completely blended together. Although a couple of summers ago he went on a strawberry ice cream kick that lasted for a few months.

Lily - she likes chicken nuggets with sauce (ketchup) and hot dogs, cut up, no bun, also with sauce (ketchup). She also loves dill pickles and will eat them right out of the jar if one of her moms gives her one. She will ask them for a pickle, randomly throughout the day. She likes apple juice in her sippy cup and her favorite thing for breakfast was cut up strawberries that she would dip into Nutella. Lily was the worst eater of the kids and she and Ashlyn would battle it out at the dinner table more often than not. Ali would usually end up making her a PB&J sandwich, no crusts, after the dust settled so she didn’t go to bed hungry. But she isn’t allowed a snack after bathtime if she doesn’t eat enough of her real dinner. Her favorite ice cream is chocolate with chocolate sauce and sprinkles (multi-colored kind).

For pure snacks they all eat goldfish, and the healthiest fruit gummies their moms can find. Those are the two favorites. Ali and Ashlyn don’t want to deny their kids a bunch of things but they also don’t want them to eat a bunch of crap so there are limits to everything. If they’re having a movie night they can have popcorn and a little can (one of the minis) of soda (which is always caffeine free any time after 2pm). If the can of whipped cream is ever around they’ll line up next to the fridge and wait for whichever mom is using it for their coffee or ice cream or whatever to shoot a dollop into their open mouths. They look like baby birds being fed. They grin and run away, knowing it’s one squirt per kid. Even the dogs appreciate the whipped cream and they’ll lick it off of A or A’s fingers when everybody else has had their shot.
