More school stuff!!

These are spreads from a type specimen booklet, the objective was to make an 8-page 5″x5″ booklet showcasing the many uses and variations of only 1 typeface on any topic of your choice

So I once again decided to get silly with it--

My other topics in consideration were:

A full summary of all 16 seasons of Ninjago (scrapped because I’d have to write that summary myself and I did not have that kind of time [we were allowed to copy paste as long as we included our source])

The entire national Pokédex. All 1015 of them. Just 8 pages of listing every single Pokémon. It was funny until I realized that’s way way too much.

Narrowed it down to the full dex of just one region but that was still too much-- (body copy requirement was just 5 paragraphs and too much text would be too cluttered)

#sana school stuff #pokemon #typography #typographic design #graphic design #i'd love to do more stuff like this but this took like. a month to refine. it was a lot. #also can you sEE WHY I WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT PRINT SHOPS ALL THE TIME #THE PURPLE PAGE AIN'T RIGHT #jgfdhaskhgfkd whatever #the fucked originally wasn't censored but i liked the way the x and c fit together better #my teacher was like 'what made you choose this color scheme specifically' and in my head i was like #''sometimes bitches be bi'..... does not sound like a reasonable answer......' #mostly i wanted the vibes to be deceptively cute #like it's all bright and pastel and it's like 'oh. this one kidnaps children' #most of the difficulty was in making the entire thing cohesive 'cause each page has a very different vibe so it was a bit too chaotic #also indesign can go eat a tire. #i find it quite funny how i don't know a lot of my design work here so i'm mostly just known for drawing #*show #while in my design classes i don't get to draw much so people don't really know me for drawing. #it sure is a life i live #anyways if you read all that <3 #this one's for you pokemon people o7 #'sana you're just posting school stuff to stall for time so you can draw new stuff' YEAH AND???
