She knows Hamato Yoshi and Lou Jitsu are the same person. Also a bit tired of him, but she loves her friend.

Edit: Jem Jitsu AU takes place early 90s to mid-late 2000s. This is how she looks in the early 90s

People on anon gave me shit about making Hamato Yoshi transgender in my Jem Jitsu AU because "it was the 90s." Trans men existed in the 80s, 90s, and before then.

Also this is the AU inspired by a cartoon from the 80s where the main character has remote micro-projectors on her earrings that's able to create a convincing hologram over herself to assume a double life as the lead singer of a band. With the show I'm making an AU of being about mutant ninja turtles which also has a whole secret city of yōkai beneath the streets of New York.

I wouldn't mind if you just told me that the top surgery scars weren't as accurate to many of the actual top surgery scars of the time, but I'm guessing that's not what you cared about.

In Jem Jitsu, Yoshi is a gnc (gender-non-conforming) trans man whose fashion sense leans towards feminine in this AU!

In my first drawing of this AU, the light lines under his chest were intended to be faded to-surgery scars, but as nobody pointed it out— I assume it didn't read that way. I hope this answers your question :)

how are the baby turtles in the jem jitsu au? are they sort of parallel to the foster children under Jerrica's care or something else? and are there other bandmates with Lou?

Oooo!! Glad that you mention the baby turtles!! Jem Jitsu doesn't exactly have one-to-one parallels with the original Jem cartoon and I've even switched around several events from ROTTMNT.

Baby turtles:

The turtles don't come in till the last part of the timeline of Jem Jitsu. When Lou comes back to the New York public after the whole Battle Nexus and also the being used to mutate turtles thing—

he doesn't his best to continue the double life thing while also raising and protecting 4 mutant children. All the while Draxum is now actively looking for him.

Bandmates:

Lou doesn't have any bandmates, he's a solo act. The closest he has is his co-star and often-time-collaboration partner and best friend, Tang Shen. Tang Shen has known since the beginning and was the one who accidentally found Karai with him :)
