Heartbeat song: always fun! And kinda topical since I’m wearing a coral pink tank top with “love” on it today :D score: 9065 (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)

William tell overture: pretty easy but still intense! Kinda was aiming for a superstar on this one since I know my sibling got one at some point but still happy with what I got! I missed two of the gold moves somehow, which probably did me in. Score: 10624 (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)

Dance session of this week! (17–02-2024)

The “reviews” may be a bit shorter this time, I just took some short notes between songs instead of actually having a set plan and reviewing after I danced it.

As usual, I’m mostly dancing maps I haven’t danced yet - or danced a long time ago. This week was JD2016. Since 2016 doesn’t have separate full dancer cards and I shared my wii with my sibling, I checked off the songs I could truly remember dancing.

For the rest of the songs I couldn’t, I mainly clicked on the one with low scores. 2 stars on I Gotta Feeling and 1 star on When The Rain Begins To Fall is absolutely unacceptable to me and I knew I could do better now!

Now for the actual maps I played:

No Control: the shuffle gave me this one! (I quit the shuffle after this one tho since it doesn’t really give me time to write down scores and such). It’s a nice map, but incredibly awkward to do. Maybe the awkwardness will be gone after doing it enough times, but I’m not sure if I’ll play it again (until I complete my current goal and go for 5 stars on every song, that is). Score: 8488 (4 stars)

When The Rain Begins To Fall: Fun! Not much else to say. Turning move is awkward though, one that works better when dancing with a partner but still my least favourite type of dance move in just dance. Score: 8016 (4 stars)

Irish Meadow Dance: Oh did I call the previous ones awkward? This one. This one takes the cake. It’s fun but it’s one you definitely need to be in at least a duo for. And I wasn’t. If you play it solo it’s just plain awkward. Score: 7388 (3 stars)

Let’s Groove: Yeah I’ve played this one before. It’s just so fun though so I danced it again! Score: 9156 (4 stars)

Born This Way: another one I’ve played before! There’s one move I can just never get right! (screenshot from YouTube below) I wonder if it has to do with the range of my Wii?? Or maybe I just can’t get the movement right? Anyone got tips for this one? Either way it’s super fun! Score: 8327 (4 stars)

Want to Want Me: fun but not one I’d gravitate towards again. Mostly played it to better the score we already had, which I succeeded in. It’s fine but there’s much better maps on 2016 in my opinion. Score: 7829 (3 stars)

I Got A Feeling: Uhhh.. hey how is this not a sweat map? Score: 8076 (4 stars)

Hey Mama: Fun fun fun! Tiring too, though. I planned to do one more song after this one but got a bad feeling in my chest (like a side stitch but like. Boob height and in the middle) which I figured couldn’t be good so I stopped after this one! Score: 7455 (3 stars)
