Holiday & Winter Moodboards

I love the holiday season and even though I complain, I do enjoy the aesthetic of winter.

So, with that in mind I want to open this up for some suggestions.

Da 5 Bloods (2020)

This is a Movie Health Community evaluation. It is intended to inform people of potential health hazards in movies and does not reflect the quality of the film itself. The information presented here has not been reviewed by any medical professionals.

Da 5 Bloods has a few sequences of machine gun fire with frequent close-ups of muzzle flashes. Near the beginning, there is a party with severe but brief strobe lights, followed shortly by children playing a prank involving firecrackers that create a strobe effect. One of the last scenes has flashes from several cameras.

A couple of scenes take place on helicopters in flight. Handheld cameras are used almost exclusively, with mild to moderate shaking during some intense scenes.

Flashing Lights: 7/10. Motion Sickness: 6/10.

TRIGGER WARNING: This film begins by showing real-life footage of war violence, including a gunshot to the head of an unarmed person. There is also real-life footage of Donald Trump, and one character loyally follows his rhetoric. There are scenes of bloody violence and extreme gore, including two snakes killed graphically on-screen (presumably using special effects). Slurs against various races are used throughout the film.

Not just that, I'm from south of France, and I change skin color by the season, pale in winter, tan in summer. Lots of southerners do so. They dug up my old art where a spanish character was drawn by me paler than what they saw appropriate. My explanation that it was the winter scene hence the color choice fell on deaf ears. Then they EDITED my art without my permission giving that character darker skin color!! I was never so livid and violated! Reported them to tumblr to no result 2/3

Honestly, these gate guardians wouldn't even recognize some of the Spanish people if they saw them, because they're very often American and have a limited view of how people actually do look, especially in Europe where you can't draw similar lines between nations and races as in USA. Of course tanning is a complete unknown concept to them. They would probably throw me to Limbo if I posted a photo of my father's arm here in winter and in summer. He never gets sunburns but he tans so easily. He goes from a ghost to a roasted coffee bean during summer, and then back to ghost when it's winter. They would say I edited it.

By the way, here's a Spanish actor José Manuel Poga.

Put them side by side and you see no difference in who is Finnish and who is Spanish.

My first boyfriend was half Finnish, half Swedish, but he honestly looked like he had moved here from Korea just yesterday. I often spot his look-a-likes from East-Asian movies/series.

This is pretty much how Europe is like, though different nationalities do have some specific facial traits, hair colors etc. (like I have a typical Savonian face type). You can’t just come to Europe and start to randomly cut people into small boxes of this and that based on their looks. It's way more complicated and diverse here than in American culture and culture history.

And yes, tanning is a thing in places where seasons change a lot during the year - and if you are like my father who tans in a blink of an eye throughout without sunburns.

In Finland, it's actually still considered really healthy to have a strong tanning. Whenever someone returns back home from their holiday to South-Europe or North-Africa etc. people immediately admire their tanned skins, and how healthy that colors is. The stronger tanning = the better. Melanoma? Lol what's that.
