Bagged us a view of Mt. Fuji sillouetted against the dusk sky on Sunday. These pictures were taken from among the palm trees that line Kaihin Koen-dori in the city of Sodegaura, Chiba Prefecture. There’s a parking lot at the northern end of the avenue so there should be no need to pull over and clog up the road.

This blog is for anyone who is new to Japan, interested in living here, curious about the local culture, or staying here for a longer period of time.
About Me
Hello! My name is Blair. I’m an American who has been living in Japan for nearly a decade. It has been an amazing journey of learning and discovery. I came here as an English teacher and have worked with young learners in different cities. I started in Fukuyama, a small city in Hiroshima prefecture, where I worked for a large conversation school. I enjoyed teaching students during the weekdays and exploring Japan during the weekends and holidays. I had to adapt to many new things and I was grateful for the help of my kind co-workers. There were times when I had to rely on myself to complete these errands.
Now I live in Tokyo and I feel comfortable with life in Japan. It has not been easy, but it has been rewarding. I want to share my advice with you on how to deal with all the forms, the shopping, and much more. I hope you have a wonderful time in Japan. It can be a challenging country to live in, but it can also be a very peaceful and fulfilling one.
