Interview with the Vampire
Is My Very Nature That of The Devil | 1x03
He admitted later there was nothing wrong with Jelly Roll's playing, only something he overheard in an alleyway—a steady gig for the band in Chicago. Jelly was going to leave me high and dry in a few days, and Lestat took umbrage. If I'm not mistaken, he improv'd the melody for what would later become the "Wolverine Blues."

Lestat said a very long string of "of course :)"'s and all I heard was jake peralta's "Cool. Cool cool cool cool cool cool cool." in vampire accent

Ep. 3 let's gooo:
Ah yes, the evil-doer discussion. Louis would frame it as him having introduced the concept to Lestat.
Aww, 'mon cher' though, from Louis this time.
Cat-eating, of course.
Lestat x Music OTP
Rashid is probably a vampire since he's not wearing a mask like the others but I'd say he's not secretly Armand because as subby as Armand can be, I doubt he'd let Louis boss him around, in front of humans no less.
Call him out, Daniel.
Also call him out, Louis.
Fire gift! That's our pyromaniac!
"I'm not a gossip!" "But I am." 😂
Oh Louis honey.
Oh Lestat. You are indeed a lot.
The dialogue in this is so damn sharp.
"I'll let you reload." Buuurrn.
Should have said you're the Devil though, but I appreciate the self-acceptance.
"My light. My Claudia. My redemption." 😭
Additional thoughts:
-The script seemed to indicate Louis was originally supposed to be bi as well, so I think they made him specifically gay for additional drama and conflict both within himself and between him and Lestat. Which... I'm not sure was entirely necessary, but I can appreciate it.
-It's cool how we've established that the original interview was bitter hogwash, but Louis is clearly not being entirely honest this time, either. The moment he realized he might not even remember things correctly was super cool.

Two things can be true at once:
1. Lestat did not (and could not) fully understand what Louis was going through after the Azalea was shut down.
2. Lestat was absolutely right that what Louis did to the alderman was not for his city and people.

damn episode 3 felt so fucking short
I just loved everything about it - the typical "I'll only eat animals" thing but done so well, Lestat's influence, and how fucking messy and toxic their relationship is tbh haha it's just such an interesting dynamic
and Louis' journey this episode from eating animals to "I'm a vampire" (which, btw, I didn't even notice that he didn't say it until now and I'm so happy about those short episode insider things at the end of each eps hahah) - and I also loved everything about the business aspect of the plot, with them closing down the azalea and Louis fighting back - god this show is good
and here's Claudia! I'm so excited to see her! like, again, I didn't know anything about the show aside from what I saw on tumblr and I saw some gifs already 😂
I fucking love this show

Spoilers for Interview with the Vampire episode 3 if you haven’t watched.
When Lestat said he liked variety I was like then why the fuck would you create a companion.
One that you constantly neglect mentally and emotionally and don’t bother changing for or stop to really look at who he is as a person.
Then get all jealous when that companion strays just like you because you aren’t fulfilling his needs.
I was watching with my sister and when Lestat kept saying of course to Louis cheating she was like that sounded like a hell nah.
You know Louis mentioned old times to get Jonah to start thinking about them so Lestat would hear.
Louis my dear how much older?
Antoinette that particular kink is just not- it’s just a no.
You know Mama du lac was filling those girls heads with all sorts of nonsense about Louis long before Louis kicked in that door.
Maybe Louis did enjoy killing the Alderman but only out of enacting vengeance for the years centuries even of unfair treatment of him and his people.
Stuck his whole body not just his head on the iron gate as a message to those remaining and a warning to those to come.
Lestat nickname should be never able to read the room. The city is burning people are dying Louis is so distraught over all of it and you want to make this about some anniversary.
My sister said what Louis said to Lestat about him always being alone was harsh especially seeing as that’s Lestat’s deepest fear, but I’m like no it was what he deserved.
Was wrong about who Claudia might be to Louis.
So Louis suggest feeding on criminals points one out and when Lestat goes for it that makes Louis unhappy. Huh?
Might add more as it comes to me.
Louis you just now calling him out for being a creep when he made that absolutely abundantly clear when he said he had been watching you for some time.
Sam Reids’ change in facial expression and vocal tone from I don’t like sharing to I heard your hearts dancing was magnificent. Between Sam’s and Jacob’s performances in this episode his was the best. As always.
Not to say Jacob didn’t nail his part. I could really feel Louis feeling of his world coming apart, his desperation to fix it and his eventual realization when his standing in the middle of it that he can’t.
They were born to play Lestat and Louis. IDK what anyone has to say.
In episode one Lestat says I’ve watched you from lake to river river back to lake what if he meant the spot Louis took Jonah. Like Louis often goes there to just decompress from the world.
