Caught up on Frieren and this show is absolutely amazing. There's a lot to love like the party itself, the magic system, the insane animation and OST, the way the passage of time is shown, but I think a central thing that makes it so good is that it is 'just' a regular fantasy setting and nothing of that isekai stuff

Its honestly so funny watching proshippers on Tumblr whine and complain because the fandom community at large is rejecting them. All the 28+ yr old proshippers who used to get away with shit are now loseing their minds because the newer 16 yr old kids on TikTok are telling them their incest shit is gross and I'm so living for it. the elden beasts theme sounds rlly divine and serene overall, and i love that a lot, but i also really really REALLY love and appreciate the one part with the strings. it captures the feeling of this fight being the final stretch, so to speak, so so well imo, and it rlly stands out to me bc of how heroic & hopeful it sounds. it feels like its cheering u on, which is so unusual for a theme accompanying the final battle of a fromsoft title.. and i while i will probably never get enough of the beautiful tragedy present in other such themes, i welcome this change in tone wholeheartedly tbh.
