#literally one of my favorite books of all time it goes so fucking hard #and its not a YA its a scifi thriller revenge story #oh also if you liked first kill or you at least liked the concept of it you should check out her YA duology the monsters of verity #its extremely similar conceptually ie romeo and juliet adaption w monsters #except romeo is the daughter of a mob boss and juliet is a sad boy siren and their relationship is platonic #it has queer characters in it too and i feel like its a lot more imaginative and horror based than first kill was #its less standard YA and more out of the box
