i do have something a little Bridgerton AU esque in the works for them 👀however the Anthony and Kate comparison was very galaxy brained to me and now I'm imagining an AU where Cori is courting Y'mhitra, and Shtola, who has never intended to marry and isn't even participating in the season, only attending balls as a sort of chaperone to her sister, is inexplicably very vexed by this. Cori is kind and smart and caring, they're the perfect spouse for her sister, and whatever Shtola may have felt while spending time with them is nothing in comparison to the match her sister wants and needs.

And it's just friendship anyway right? Just the nice feeling of someone who has the same interests as her, who can hold a conversation with her in an ancient language, who isn't put off when Shtola forgets herself and starts bossing them around. And it's okay that she keeps finding herself in libraries late at night alone with Cori because they're friends! and sometimes friends look at each other Like That and sometimes they let their ungloved hands brush. and whatever it doesn't matter because Cori and Y'mhitra are getting married and Cori makes it clear that she will follow through with her duty and the promise she's made in the absence of any reason not to, and there is no reason she shouldn't, right Shtola?
