hello wanted 2 talk about a bunch of fun things from Thursday first show of War All The Time tour 2nite at the Town Ballroom in Buffalo (this will include setlist spoilers)

(starting with a random little video of title track, the rest of it is in the keep reading thingy)

- TURNPIKE DIVIDES FOR THE LAST SONG??? they let her see the light of day!!! i am probably the only person who has heard her at 2/3 of the thursday sets they have seen /lh

- geoff took the piss out of victory records for not paying bands while talking about how i'll be you & jbny are mirrors of each other then played them back to back (also described jbny as their heaviest song.... correct!!!)

- crowd was GREAT. great pits, surfing vibes, actually hell, vibes were just great all around.

- make sure you get there early so you can catch both many eyes & rival schools (steve (thursday) actually played for rival schools today which was cool). i thoroughly enjoyed both sets, and tonight honestly made me a fan of many eyes as a project. i wasn't sure what to expect receptionwise from a buffalo crowd [insert every time i die lore] but everyone showed up for keith (buckley, former singer of etid)/them. i also thought he/they did great, and he seemed genuinely humbled. also saw him around after the show, bro was loading out merch so i didn't wanna bother him, but yeah, dude seemed chill. really enjoyed the songs as well, i'll be spinning them and staying tuned for future releases for sure.

- between that set, everyone just feeling like a true community all night, & a cameo from a local scene legend (if you know hardcore, the singer of terror/buried alive was watching sidestage all show, keith shouted him out hahaha), let's just say i felt like how i'd imagine patriotic americans feel when they hear the national anthem, but the western new yorker edition.

- between rupture and rapture & division st. were probably my favorite non big singles. so great to hear watt in full dude and the crowd was very engaged the whole time

- one thing that really sucks is geoff explained as they came out that pretty much all their instruments randomly got stolen right before they left for tour, so they were a little panicky and stuff but basically, nothing was gonna stop them from having a good time in buffalo (paraphrased). apparently when they were sorting out the tour routing a while back someone told them they should start in toronto but they were like, nah dude, we want to start in buffalo. back to my western ny patriotism analogy, i see. anyways, now that's what i call resilience. they put on a great performamce with such great energy, you can tell this is a band that truly loves doing this whole thing. support the guys extra hard this run.

- as the opening bit of understanding started i looked back at the carnage going on in the giant pit that was open at the moment and had to just. smile at That being a moment people were crowdkilling each other to /lh

- i brought my (digital) point & shoot and shot from the crowd! very stoked on those as i was quite close all show, will update with those once i edit em! will probably also be posting a review kinda thing on my site/ziney thing once i get that back up and published

- one final thing that haunts me is the wonder of what geoff was talking about here in this instagram story post from earlier. i even stuck around after the show (which ended around 10:30) in case... i don't know, thursday were to fly out of some sort of confetti cannon at 11 pm sharp, i have no idea, dude. someday i will ask geoff about Minds Blown - 11.00pm

anyway, every time i've seen thursday this past year of having the joy of really knowing their music (i'd heard of them of course just through being in the scene for years, but had just never listened then) thursdayband has come 2 mean more and more to me and i truly hope they never stop playing together as long as it makes them happy <3

hi, i have a fun storytime to tell. well its more of a confession that anything, but its still a funny storytime. this all happened today bfrom like 1:50 pm - 2:40 pm cet. so since im an ibaraP with way too much time and money on their hands i decided to spend 225 euros(in total) on his frontline watchdog revive scout. so naturally, what i did was go to the store and buy some gift cards. but just as i stepped out, the rain decided to pour heavily. i turned around to get myself an umbrella just to realize i had locked myself out of my house. well, how did i get in, you might ask? i got in through the terrace in the back by parkouring up there because i remembered that we have a door thats usually open. and that terrace is like two meters(6.5 feet) high. all i had on was a fleece jacket, non-waterproof boots and my newly bought jeans. after like 5 mins of trying to climb up to the terrace i finally made it, went in my room, got myself the house key and forgot to bring an umbrella(the thing i originally went in for) and just walked out. as i walked out of the front door for the second time i remembered "wait but i wanted to bring an umbrella" but said fuck it and just went without one. so after like 30 mins of trial and error i finally arrive where i wanted to, which was the sacred store. im sopping wet and i go to the cashout with my 100 euro giftcard and then i realized that i look fucking insane. so when i left the store, it magically stopped raining and i made my way home by jaywalking(which you can get fined for here in germany) (but it led me to a shortcut) to get home like 1 min faster. and then i gave in all of the money, and turns out i already spent almost 20000 yen(about 150-180 euros) this month so i was only able to buy the 580 dia pack, which gave me an accumulated 1800-ish dia. well, obviously the reason why i went to the store in the first place was because the first part of my scouts didnt aqquire me the funny glasses man card(they were like 60 pulls, i have a video on youtube from today morning lmao) so i paid for "a few " more pulls. and guess what? the funniest part about this story is that i didnt even get ibara, even after all that trial and error. i spent over 75 pulls, 225 euros and a piece of my sanity on this mf just for him to not come home. and listen, i also wish this was a joke. TLDR; yuta goes through hell and back for ibara, spends a total of 225 euros and their sanity to still not get him(after almost 100 pulls)

IUI #3 - chemical pregnancy (loss)

We are in cycle 3 now (and our first try with our new donor). Man this was the cycle of stress. Between trying to buy a house that looks like it’s not going to happen anymore and me going strict again on the keto diet plus being more consistent with the intermittent fasting my ovulation date was late by 2 days. Also, I basically lived in OPK hell for like 4 days. I peed on sooooo many tests it’s not funny. I decided to add the clear blue advanced digitals this cycle and wow did they confuse things.

So if you don’t know, the CBAD tests are different than other OPKs because they track LH and estrogen. I also track estrogen with my ferning microscope. I can say that the CBAD and my ferning microscope correlated. However I got my peak CBAD on CD 12 at 11:20 PM yet my Wondfo was negative. I’m not sure how that is even possible because the Wondfos detect LH at 25 mIU/mL and the CBAD picks it up at 40 mIU/mL which means that the Wondfo is more sensitive and should have been positive at the same time as or before the CBAD. I can only surmise that the CBAD gave me a positive when my estrogen levels dropped which just so happened to occur a few hours before my LH surge. Is this a big deal for this cycle? Probably not. But could this be an issue for someone with highly variable cycles? Maybe. It’s something to keep in mind.

So we got a peak CBAD on CD 12 at 11:30 PM then the Wondfo was positive on CD 13 at my next test at 3:30 AM.

We inseminated on CD 14 around 7:00 AM which means we were in the 27-32 hour area depending on which OPK was right. We confirmed that I’d already ovulated before the IUI because my cervix was not as open as it has been before.

My temp rise was also slower this cycle. I’d blame that on the intermittent fasting. I’ve done cycles before on strict keto and occasional IF and it didn’t affect my temps this way. If you look at my overlaid chart though it actually doesn’t look too different than the others

Afterthoughts: so in this cycle we did get pregnant! However it was just a chemical pregnancy that only lasted 3 days. My period wasn’t even late by more than 1 day. We were bummed but took it in stride. At least we now knew that we could theoretically get pregnant. We hoped that cycle 4 would be the one now that we had a new, good donor.
