thinking abt that one tweet(? tumblr post?) that was talking abt how kpop has to be inherently sexual in order to play into fans' fantasies (paraphrasing) but it cant be explicit bc [gestures to long list of reasons that im not equipped to discuss in depth] so they have to use these metaphors that are divided along the gender binary so girl groups always have songs like "come taste this sweet yummy dessert so sweet lalala" while boy groups are always like "i know you want to ride this fast car all night so fast riding all night vroom vroom" and i have not been able to unhear that whenever i listen to kpop now. i cannot unthink abt that post ever. i want a 100 page dissertation and 3 hour video essay abt the topic.
