The pristine fragility of the #landscape was totally unimaginable until I saw it with my own eyes. Daunting. We don’t realize how much #pollution is in the air around us until we travel to a remote region where there is much less. Contaminants drift down to the Southern Hemisphere from the Northern Hemisphere so the air is more polluted that it was 20-30 years ago. Another early 📷liminalism #watermusic series #image created from the crashing waters in the #keanaepeninsula #Maui. Ready and Waiting was created from a #photograph I took while exploring with Ward Hooper on one of our collaborative expeditions. When I was a little girl I imagined places in the world that were #remote locations and #Stonehenge was one of those places. In 1999 on the way to #antartica we visited the #falklandislands. I was taken by the #patchwork #textures of the #streetscene. After #scanning the slide I felt that extraneous electric lines and a pale blue sky shape were a problem so I set about in #photoshop to re-create my image. Little did I realize that I had embarked upon a journey of creative transformation that went way beyond #postvisualization.
