👻 What is your wildest headcanon?

You had to pick one of the most difficult questions for me to answer! I'm not sure if I'd categorize either of these as 'wild' per se, but I do think they are unique and possibly unpopular (at least in our corners of the Loki fandom).

Headcanon #1 When on Earth, Loki refuses to use a cell phone. He finds the technology inferior, and thinks texting is absolutely ridiculous.

Headcanon #2 While he's had a few trysts and dalliances, Loki isn't some master seducer with tons of experience. We see how much of an outsider he is in Thor. Sure, he's charming, but he is also deeply introspective. There is a quiet reasoning behind everything thing he does. He's calculating, intelligent, and very aware of how he presents himself to those around him. Loki is extremely protective and guarded -- what's hiding beneath that silver tongue?

tl;dr A romantic relationship seems like it would be the furthest thing from his mind.

Since most of my published works are 'established relationships,' I've not really shared anything exploring this particular mode of thought. Although I guess it's present in Box of Rain if you read between the lines.

But (and you know what I'm going to say here) I do write about it at length in my longfic WIP. Falling in love is the worst thing Loki can imagine, because true intimacy cannot happen without complete trust. The version of Loki that's been ping-ponging around my brain for 2+ years is beautiful and vulnerable and a little awkward when it comes to romance -- I hope I can share him with you all soon!

Tell me about Dark Energy?!!!! ❤️❤️

Dark Energy (prologue?) is part of my Loki longfic WIP, Whatever Returns From Oblivion. I'm not sure if it will actually be part of the prologue, a flashback, or a completely separate story arc, but it explores the period of time when Loki was with the Black Order.

Odin harnesses the dark energy to send Thor to Earth to find the Tesseract (and Loki), but what happens in Asgard before that? (This is briefly explored in the Dark World Prelude comics, but I'm excited to delve into my own headcanons of what occurred -- and how.)

Here's a little snippet of a very rough draft.

“I’m sorry, Mother. Now just isn’t a good time.”  Frigga opened her eyes with a start, cool sweat saturating her gown.  “You foolish, brilliant boy,” she muttered, waving off her attendant as she hurried down the winding staircase leading from her study and into the bedchamber. Finding it empty, she proceeded to the gilded parlor where her husband sat, imbibing in his typical morning ritual of pheasant, fruit, and strategizing.  “Good morning, m’dear,” Odin greeted without looking up from the papers in his hand.  “I saw him,” Frigga said with a hint of urgency. The Allfather turned to her, recognizing a long-forgotten panic etched on his queen’s face. “Loki.”

Bad Habit is my attempt at Lovers to Strangers, featuring an Avengers-adjacent Loki. It's one of my lesser-developed WIPs and probably a bit darker than what people normally expect from me? There will be miscommunication and unresolved conflict and chaos galore! (Allegedly.)

Tell me about Only the Sunset Knows. Will it stab me in the heart? It sounds like it could.

Maybe? Only the Sunset Knows is my Magnus Martinsson series. I'm only expecting two people to read it, but I'm excited about it nonetheless!

The title is a lyric from the Wallander theme song, "Nostalgia" by Emily Barker. It's rather haunting.

I don't have a summary written yet, but the reader meets Magnus during a temporary stay in Ystad. Does any of this even make sense? Whatever, here's a snippet. 😂

“My aunt– she owns a cottage in Löderup. It’s right on the beach and–” “Is that where you take all your flings?” You try to make it sound lighthearted, to force out a playful laugh, but the twinge of jealousy in your voice is evident, especially to him. You – happiest in your privacy and mystique, never daring to let anyone in for fear of the carefully constructed walls crumbling to dust – intermingling with someone who studies patterns and cracks codes for a living.

Shelter from the Storm is my James Conrad x Reader series. The title is a lyric from the CCR song "Who'll Stop the Rain" and the main trope is Right Person/Wrong Time. ��

As a war correspondent operating out of an Army base in Vietnam, you don’t anticipate forming a connection with the enigmatic British officer tasked with instructing soldiers on jungle warfare. But you do. And, after surviving a close encounter out in the field, things get… intense.

Ok so imagine!

You’ve tied Loki to a chair while giving him a lap dance/strip tease/ *insert sexy thing of your choice here with clear instructions that he isn’t allowed to touch.

How long do you think it would take him to break? And what do you think would happen once he gets his hands on you? 😏😈

I'm imagining, @sarahscribbles! As you well know, I'm a very unserious person, so any lap dance/strip tease performed by moi would be a very silly one. But I digress...

Loki loves being given a clear set of instructions because sooner or later (much to your delight), he's going to break those rules. You both know he could free himself of the restraints at any moment – but he will at least try to be a good boy.

How long would take him to break? That depends. How long would you be able to stand teasing him? How long could you stand giving him just enough to drive him mad? I think the little game could go on for hours if the mood's right. Delayed gratification and all.

But, oh. When Loki gets his hands on you? Every antagonizing second would've been worth it. You're fully convinced he's about to fuck you senseless like he swore to do the second you tied him up (and he will make good on that promise, eventually). Except now, it's his turn to be in control. To tease. To draw out your pleasure for as long as you both can stand. And maybe he relishes in it so much that he brings you to climax again and again until you're completely drunk on the feeling of him.

Yeah, that's what I'm imagining would happen.
