says he loves 'the fight' of f1 and being in the thick of it and smth he missed when he was only working part-time

says that what he brings is rather 'less technical' but actually 'more human' and his description of the difficult '22/23 period was fascinating: "(...)since coming back to the TD role, it has got nothing to do with nuts, bolts, springs, dampers, wings, floors, it's just human stuff (...)"

'let's not pretend we're deserving of winning' and thinks the sooner everyone's on the same page with the transition 'a. the shorter the slump is and b. the more fun it is'

in his early 20s was 'really quite ambitious' and work-focused; 'happily he got sacked in his late-20s' which now feels like a 'brilliant experience' because it says it provided him with a necessary perspective; 'it was brilliant being sacked' lmao

he talks about the america's cup and compares it to f1; 'aspects of f1 which are just ludicrously difficult to cope with'- i thought was an interesting line

describes the transition of f1 over the last 30 years transitioning from a 'cottagy' industry to an industrialised, detailed, process-driven world' where people are quite 'pigeon-holed' - much more compartmentalised compared to the 'jack of all trades' people in america's cup

'doesn't know' whether merc will be back to winning ways in '24; in his head 'winning ways' only means championships

his performance tip: every time he comes to work and drives through the factory gates, his game face is cheerfulness and decides 'i'm going to have a fun day' and hope some it rubs off on the 'people around me'

You know what fuck it i'm gonna hype myself up for 2024 i will believe that this car is going to be good and lewis will be back on top top and i'm not listening to people already saying Max is going to be an 8 time wdc when they also said this about seb vettel and ferndando alonso and we know how that turned out. Not to take away from what they amazingly archieved but lewis is the only one who followed through so far. I know he's got it in him to go for it next year and i trust in Jallison and newey is brillant but we know how Max gets under pressure and therefore if it goes head to head again ..
