It is a purely cosmetic thing to mock Twitter and the Elongated Muskrat, while doubling as a very clever fundraising feature.

And what’s even better is that the blue checkmarks stack. $7.99 gets you two checkmarks, but if you pay another $7.99, then you get four checkmarks, and so on. I saw someone with twenty Important Blue Internet Checkmarks, just because they could.

This has the same kind of chaotic energy as Blaze, and I’m loving it. I just wish there was an option to give other people Important Blue Internet Checkmarks, because that would just add to the glorious chaos while being completely non-harmful.

Am I going to get a set for myself? Well, I have a spare $8 and low impulse control, so more than likely. Then I’ll sit back and hope that they do actually turn into crabs at some point.
