The Strangest Thing...

I have never been more secure in my life than I am right now. It’s the weirdest thing. The fact that I made a typo and said “I have never been more secure in my life than I am right now” instead of “I have never been more insecure in my life than I am right now” says it all... 

I mean, right now it just doesn’t make sense. I have everything anyone could possibly want. I mean, I’m not filthy rich with endless car options and shopping sprees (don’t really want that anyway), but I am rich in humility and love... 

The most accurate thing I’ve ever been told and believe is that your happiness comes from within. Period. If you’re not happy with yourself, you will most definitely not be happy with anything that surrounds you - even if it’s incredible. 

It sounds easy... Just - be happy with you! But it’s not always that simple. It starts before we’re even brought into this world, and so long as we’re conditioned to put everyone and everything before ourselves, it will take excruciating effort to learn that we’re allowed to (and should) put ourselves before others... sometimes. If not - most of the time. 

My current journey? People are allowed to be upset... with me, with the world, with themselves... and it’s NOT my job to fix it. I literally have to focus on retraining my brain to be kind... to be forgiving... to be realistic. It is possible, and likely that I wake up in the morning terrified of the anxieties I may need to face that day and then BAM! there they are. I’m not sure where, how, or when the unfucking of my mind will fully commence, but it’s in progress and my journey is unfolding... 

I am determined to come out of the conditioned mindset that I was provided...
