"he's doing it again.." sungjin mumbled toward wonpil beside him.

"huh?"

"dowoon," sungjin clarified, "he's doing it again."

wonpil looked over at dowoon, who was a few feet away on the photoshoot set. the group was currently taking concept photos for their next album, and dowoon's gaze was stuck rather obviously on y/n.

"i don't know what else you expected," wonpil replied. "he's obsessed."

"who's obsessed?" younghyun chimed in after just getting his makeup touched up.

"dowoon."

"oh. with y/n?"

wonpil and sungjin nodded.

"then yes," younghyun agreed.

y/n continued to change poses and expressions in front of the camera. dowoon felt mesmerized. he was supposed to go after y/n, but he didn't know how well he'd do in front of the camera after watching y/n. he might as well have fallen in love all over again.

"yoon dowoon!"

dowoon snapped out of his trance. he looked over at the rest of his group with raised brows. the color on his face turned to a deep red as he realized they'd been watching him stare at y/n. sungjin waved him over, but dowoon almost felt like ignoring him. he knew the three were bound to tease him.

dowoon walked over to them after taking one more glance at y/n, who finally met dowoon's eyes and sent him a quick smile before looking back at the camera. dowoon felt his heart skip in his chest. he looked down at his feet as he walked before stopping in front of his friends.

"so when are you guys gonna kiss?" younghyun asked.

"never, at this point," wonpil answered.

dowoon blinked, "what?"

"tsk. you and y/n. we're waiting for you and y/n to finally get together," sungjin explained.

dowoon looked back at y/n one more time.

"what do you mean?"

small sighs and groans of disappointment sounded from the others.

"you suck at being subtle dowoon. make a move on y/n already," wonpil urged while sungjin and younghyun nodded along.

"i don't think he sees me that way," dowoon protested a bit shyly.

"shut up, you two are basically each other's favorites."

"there's no way he doesn't like you too."

"dowoon, respectfully, open your fucking eyes."

dowoon continued to watch y/n as his bandmates talked. he really hoped they were right.

Dua tahun lalu waktu lagi sisiran dan siap-siap mau ke Kopma buat jadi budak DDD, aku inget banget aplikasi soundcloud-ku muter lagu yang bikin aku mikir “Lagu apa ini, kok intronya enak banget. Lagu korea tapi kok kayanya bukan boyband…” Saking jatuh cintanya pas pertama kali denger, akhirnya momen itu bikin aku kenal DAY6 beserta lagu wajib nasionalnya, apalagi kalau bukan Congratulations neon cham daeanhae UWOOO OWOO~  Setelah hiatus bertahun-tahun lamanya alias tidak ikut menenggelamkan diri dalam Korean Wave (semenjak 2014 tidak), aku mulai buka hati tapi masih dalam batasan “ini gausah nge-stan sampe jadi fandom apalagi beli merch ya dind”…

Oh iya, mungkin terbesit pertanyaan dari pembaca tulisan ini sekalian, “Kenapa sih harus batesin diri gitu? Emang salah kah gabung fandom?” atau pertanyaan-pertanyaan lainnya. Ini cukup idealis sih jawabannya. Ummm, aku sebenernya sadar secara penuh kalau seluruh idol K-Pop itu ada di bawah agensi. Maka dari itu, idol K-Pop secara keseluruhan, mulai dari image, branding, karakter, dan seluruh hal yang berkaitan sama mereka semua tuh bener-bener bentukan agensi untuk dijual di pasaran. Apa yang diinginkan pasar itu kemudian direalisasikan dan ditawarkan sama agensi melalui si idol K-Pop ini. Not gonna lie, aku ngeliat K-Pop uda kaya industri “jual-beli” antara idol sama fans sih. Berangkat dari latar belakang sama pemahaman kaya gitu tuh bikin aku ga terlalu pengen awalnya jatuh ke suatu fandom. (ini menyangkut tentang teori hiperealitasnya Jean Baudrillard juga btw tapi tentunya aku ga bakal nulis di sini karena ini bukan lembar jawaban UAS Filsafat Komunikasi. GUYS IM SORRY IF I TOOK IT TOO SERIOUS HEHE)

(Balik lagi ke DAY6) Seiring berjalannya waktu, aku mulai kecanduan banget sama lagu mereka. “Kok bisa-bisanya ya ini lagu bikin betah banget dengernya?” Di setiap lagu mereka, entah dari instrumen atau liriknya itu selalu dapet posisi spesial di telingaku, bener deh. Ga salah sih ada jargon “apapun fandomnya, kalau urusan lagu galau tetep DAY6 pilihannya”. Awalnya aku mikir mungkin aku ngerasa mereka beda dari idol lain karena mereka K-Band gitu kan, tapi setelah aku mencoba buat denger beberapa lagu dari album K-Band lain, aku tetep gabisa oleng dan ngegeserin posisi band satu ini, HAHAHAHA. Sampai pada akhirnya aku memutuskan buat beli beberapa merch, dari unofficial ke merch yang official. Yepyeppp, Moonrise jadi album pertama yang aku punya (di posisi ini aku sadar sih kalo uda menafkahi agensi yang kapitalis dan kaya raya, tapi gapapa! karena dengan aku beli album mereka, itu uda kaya penghormatan sama rasa terima kasihku banget banget banget karna uda bermusik sebaik itu di mata, hati, sama telingaku).

Mari kita menuju alinea yang mengandung kegelapan di tulisan ini. DAY6 no longer berlima. Hari terakhir di tahun 2021, Jae mutusin buat keluar agensi. Bayangin, waktu itu adalah hari terakhir dinda juga magang di ADiTV. Belum abis nih air mata buat nangisin temen-temen magang, eh eh ehhhhhhhhhh Jae tiba-tiba keluar agensi dan langsung announce hari itu juga. Awalnya masih denial dan ga terima, tapi lama kelamaan mulai sadar kalau emang si Jae ini bukan anak yang bisa diiket sama agensi. Semenjak dia solo karier, warna musiknya Jae ini mulai keliatan banget. Hiks, masih ga bisa ngebayangin lagu DAY6 di tahun 2024 ke depan bakal gimana tanpa gitar sama suaranya Jae (prediksi comeback karena mereka uda pada kelar wamil di tahun itu)

AAAAAAAAAA INTI DARI TULISAN INI ADALAH AKU SENENG BANGET BISA DIKENALIN DAY6 DARI SOUNDCLOUD-KU YANG WAKTU ITU PLAY LAGU SECARA SHUFFLE. Doaku setahun lalu waktu DAY6 Anniversary ke-6 adalah semoga mereka tetep ber-6. Yah, aku hamba yang kurang beruntung sih, jadi doanya ga dikabulin. Untuk tahun ini, doaku direvisi jadi “Semoga dinda bisa beli album day6 lagi” aja deh, soalnya cukup realistis.
