driving me crazy this season especially ep 7 because yes they are in love and yes they are good for each other but there is also a fundamental misunderstanding of each other and what they value. ed still (up til ep 7 at least) sees stede as something soft and gentle and ethereal that saved him and that he needs to protect, and while that may be true to an extent it negates the fact that stede actually can handle himself when needed. stede still sees ed as someone strong and sturdy and capable of leading, and while this also may be true to an extent it negates the fact that ed crumbles fast when dealing with his guilt and his fear. girl just fucking TALK TO EACH OTHERRR
