i already said it on my twitter but i just wanna say it on here just how happy it makes me feel seeing louis so happy, knowing how hard and difficult navigating his solo career has been… finally seeing him surrounded by people he feels so good around and who make him feel so good in turn; people who DO reciprocate his love right back to him, who adore him just as much as he adores them… it’s so refreshing and so fulfilling to see for him

and on top of that… the year he’s had, what 2022 has given him… all that he’s accomplished… him being able to share that year with us, his own fans. Louis finally getting his moment to experience the love and adoration WE have for HIM every night on an entire world tour… sharing an entire second album with us… for us and him… reiterating his mantra of having Faith in the Future… 2022 was filled with so much love and light for him… from his own people to his own fans… it was everything he had been dreaming of since the start of his solo career in 2016

2022 was a year we got to experience right along side him… 2022 was the year of Louis… we got to experience so much happiness and joy from start to finish and i can’t begin to imagine how fulfilling of a year this must have been for him; and with 2023 and every year after, it’s just going to keep getting better and better, just as he said, and i’m so excited to be able to experience that joy in him just bloom even more. i said it before and i’ll say it again this is everything he’s been deserving of for so so long and it truly is just the tip of the iceberg of something so so great. the future is always uncertain but for Louis i am forever confident in its greatness.

The family shopping trip to purchase a coffin scene has got me dying and kicking my feet it's so funny. Because the minute the funeral director gets suspicious over their reasoning for buying Claudia's coffin (shoutout to Louis saying they wanted to get her used to the thought of going home to god asdfgjk) you can see his internal monologue go "oh for fucks sake, why couldn't you just sell us the damn coffin, you had to make it harder for yourself huh?" 

His murder is bad™️ rhetoric flies straight out the window, he runs to draw the curtain and is like well sucks to be you but if my daughter wants that coffin, that coffin she will have and willingly leaves him to the mercy of his bloodthirsty husband. For all his I want to my keep my humanity, be a different kind of vampire the glimpses where you see he's just as messy as Lestat and Claudia are *delicious*. Him being a completely hypocritical bitch whose fiercely protective of his family but isn't against compromising his 'morals' when it's in his favour is so satisfying. Especially when you take into consideration how this family unit allows him to be mostly free in his love for Lestat and to have the child he never thought he would, adds another deep layer to it.

Because yes, it's easy to say Lestat's toxic, he's mean, uncaring, selfish etc because against Louis it may come off in a more obvious way so far (although Mr Unreliable Narrator.. cough, cough) his real motives are mostly buried under mountains of unsaid trauma and  sometimes he's just a cunt!  But like there's a reason why they're in love with each other, Louis said it himself he was never Lestat's victim, and seeing him unleash his selfish and toxic side is so much fun personally because you get to see why they fit. They're terrible people whose punishment quite frankly should be having to put up with each other for eternity because no one else would.

OKAY this holiday season i am thinking especially about louis maybe drinking a liiiiitle too much from all the folks wandering around in their post-christmas party inebriation. he comes home to trinity gate all flushed— not quite buzzed, but just WARM and sweet and in a generous enough mood to let armand drain him by the fire. maybe armand lays him down on a nice fur rug in front of the fireplace and studies the warm blood all over his body. and maybe he laughs and feels his heart swell just a little as he fucks louis and watches the way he arches off of the ground, the way the light from the fire crackles in his eyes 🥰

Because I think Louis would make the most endearing "drunk" around Armand! With Lestat, Louis gets sassy and has to get fucked before he can even think of settling down, but with Armand he is so sweet.

And Armand just smiles and takes his arm, "Yes, dear"-ing and "Of course, my love"-ing him into their home while Louis reaches over to play with his hair, staring at him unblinking with his enormous green eyes like they're right back in late 1800s Paris and nothing bad has ever happened between them. 😭

"A perfect thing," Louis whispers tuggling on a loose auburn curl as he leans in like he's about to tell some great secret, "An absolutely perfect thing."

Armand is utterly charmed to see Louis like this almost... playful. Boyish. A sight so rare, he can count on his fingers the times he's seen it in over a hundred years. Of course, Armand has to pounce on him right on the fur rug in front of the fire. Preserving every little detail in his memory, thinking to himself that in another universe, he and Louis would have been nothing more than two morbidly romantic youths in love.
