Seduced by a sage to produce child, Satyavati, developed the mentality of using men for her own needs. Bhishma was raised by his mother Ganga as a kind, loyal, soft-spoken, brave and fierce warrior, as the fitting heir to his father's crown. Though I'll conclude her as a rebellious, ambitious, intelligent, ruthless, willful woman, who used her marriage as a political pledge, I can't ignore the positive traits of her character. She was a bravely honest woman who chose to be firm over fair. She left no stone unturned to get the perfect heir to the crown after the death of her children. As a fisherman's daughter or queen in a palace, her life was not easy, she worked hard to gain respect and power. Satyavati, who does not believe in fate, seems to have been mocked by destiny all the time. "𝔽𝕚𝕤𝕙𝕖𝕣 ℚ𝕦𝕖𝕖𝕟'𝕤 𝔻𝕪𝕟𝕒𝕤𝕥𝕪" also portrays the sufferings of Bhisma for his unbreakable vow. Bhishma has suppressed desire, love, emotions for his responsibility, and I admire him more after reading the book. If Draupadi is the direct cause of war, then Satyavati is the sower of war. Satyavati was a woman of great political significance. You can either conclude her as wicked or wise or maybe both. She shares her journey about how she wondered about the story of the patient more than the actual disease. It's a collection of short stories about the mistakes she made, cases she handled and the reactions. . Each story shared by the author will make you curious. The curiosity to know patients history, the recovery and much more. I liked how each story has depth and a lesson to learn. . We can connect to each and every story. The different types of people she came across with a different mindset. The plot of each story is intriguing and different. Each story has its own uniqueness. . The narration of each story is engaging and up to the point. The 21 stories with well-developed characters, drama and dialogues keep the reader invested in. . My favourite stories are Chinnabbai, Bloody Dhoti, The farmer who lost his Ferrari and the Expensive Keys. . I loved this book. A short, light and interesting read that you'll enjoy. The grass is always greener on the other side, hear it from the doctor who has to share the news of happiness when a baby is born and also the sad news of death. . Some stories ended with an abrupt end leaving me with many questions . . Want to read a simple and interesting book? Do not skip this one. . It is the story of three different people who met each other in the Dhauladhar. Nanda, Khusru and Rekha are main characters.
