Omg, I wasn't the biggest fan of trk either, I thought it was a big cop out for them to never meet the actual king even if it thematically made sense. Also... Noah's treatment... Wat did u dislike about it?

to copy and paste what i just replied to @berseker: i don’t have problems with trc as a series but oh man that last book. sometimes i wonder if she got someone who’d read like two chapters of the other books combined to write it. it made literally no sense, the pacing was for shit, and the payoff was non-fucking-existent.

and all those chapters with the villains that were? completely? pointless? geez. i literally only skip to the pynch bits when i read that now (and i have problems with some of that too, mostly the opal stuff, bc i like opal in theory but also it was super cliche? so idk mostly i loved it all but also they’re teenagers and emotionally stunted ones at that? in charge of a child?) 

BUT YES BASICALLY TRK IS A MESS AND I’M STILL MAD; NOAH DESERVED BETTER; HENRY SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN MORE PAGE TIME FAR EARLIER IN THE SERIES FOR HIM TO HAVE HAD MUCH EMOTIONAL IMPACT AS A CHARACTER ESPECIALLY SINCE IT’S MEANT TO BE ABOUT FOUND FAMILY AND HE HAS ABSOLUTELY NO CONNECTION WITH 3/5THS OF THE GANG; WHAT THE EVER LIVING FUCK IS A ROBOBEE; AND MOSTLY WHERE THE *HELL* WAS MY TIME TRAVEL YOU COWARDS?

…so yeah i just have a few feelings about why trk is awful despite the fact that the first three books are pretty much perfect. i’m so ready for the next series PLEASE REDEEM THIS MESS, PLEASE GIVE ME MY GRAND DESTINIES THAT DON’T INVOLVE PEOPLE BEING FUCKED OVER AND/OR TREES, PLEASE GIVE ME TIME TRAVEL.

edit: actually i didn’t shout enough about how this was supposed to be blue’s story about killing her true love with a kiss and she is barely??? in??? the??? last??? book???? because apparently we needed fifty thousand pages on a bunch of criminals that weren’t even important to the plot? and then AND THEN the whole blue/gansey kiss/death/etc. was so anticlimactic, i honestly feel ROBBED.

also, ALSO, um why did i care about glendower for three books?? why did i bother with that?? WHY WERE THE GANGSEY NOT THE REINCARNATED FORMS OF GLENDOWER AND HIS FOLLOWERS? make gansey a gd old school welsh king ok (maybe that’s just me but you get it).
