seeing ppl post about international asexuality day is an interesting one for me

asexuality is a bit of a weird sexuality (in my experience) in that a lot of people just do not understand what it means so ppl putting stuff on their insta story or whatever is like a big glowing sign saying not only do i understand what your sexuality means but i’m completely accepting and supportive of it too and that is just. very comforting.

#like a lot of ppl on the internet certainly know what it means #but less so people irl (again. in MY experience. not saying that's a universal experience) #i woke up today and said i was only gonna look at insta for 10 mins bc i have stuff to do before my 9am class #and i did. but i saw two posts during that time about the day (i didn't even know that was a thing. it was yesterday here technically) #and it's just. very nice. to me anyway #essentially everyone i follow is not homophobic for. reasons such as why would i follow someone homophobic #so seeing anyone i follow support the queer community is like !! :) #but this is just a little different it's more like !!!!!! this is a safe person to come out to with my ace identity if i ever wanted to #bc i am pretty openly queer except w/ family but the ace side of my identity is something i'm a little more hesitant with #(there's a reason but you know. long story) #so it's just. nice. #anyway #i'm actually gonna go do the stuff i had to before class now skjsdkfjsd
