this may be a controversial opinion, but it has to be said: baked chicken and potatoes do NOT go together. you gotta pair that shit with rice. potatoes are a red meat kinda side and that’s that on that.

#this goes for any potatoes btw… little red roasted potatoes OR big baked russet potatoes #and obviously this does NOT apply to chicken fingers and fries (the food of the gods) #which is why i specified BAKED chicken #the jury’s still out on turkey… i don’t eat it enough to know… #i feel like it goes better with potatoes than chicken tho #i wouldn’t pair it with rice at all #in fact i forgot the classic combination of turkey and mashed potatoes so turkey is officially Potato Safe in my book #now i want turkey oh no 😂😂😂😂 #i’d get some turkey breasts at the sale tomorrow if i wasn’t a fucking coward #but their deli counters intimidate me #maybe someday #all i know is that my chicken and rice is DIVINE but i wanna mix it up a little more #definitely lots of new recipes in my future once i have a driver’s license and a job and a schedule and a budget #i’m hype!!!!!!!!!
