its not that youre not missing anything because classic does lay a lot of the worldbuilding and character groundwork and also its fun when its not talking about sniffing a little girls panties BUT a lot of people do just start with z and you can fill in the gaps with context.

#i love classic i think its fun to watch it transition from zany loose jttw adaptation to badass martial arts manga #and its worldbuilding is cool and the art is rlly pretty #and its a neat watch experience to see its descendents start to lose its wacky charms #ie: the art style sharpens & characters get stretched out and the background cast becomes mostly normal humans #environments become more generic and fashion + props fall to the wayside over time #a combination of factors which really makes super unpalletable for me. it lacks the whimsy #and i prefer GT because it makes a really valiant attempt at keeping the atmosphere alive #even if its actual narrative is flop and generally poorly written its aesthetic is more DB to me than super

i really like my new style, but a part of my brain is telling me it doesn't really count as a style because I'm not actually drawing correctly. I don't draw out the pose or body along with the head, I just draw shoulders under the head and figure it out from there. I don't even bother making the hands look good.

Magfest was fun! Walked around as Cammy, made a lot of “merch,” talked to a bunch of cool dudes, traded wares, met new friends and finally met old ones, got a jello shot from a Raccacoonie cosplayer, ate so much awful food, learned of new games, and got inspired.

I made so many buttons of cammypus and other funny creatures, folded 50+ origami boxes for the perler bead crafters, and drew on any paper I can find. It was nice and now I have no money.

All the colors and being surrounded by folks who enjoy the same things i do #also i got to meet an online friend of over a decade. tbh the thing that bothers me most about the prequels isn't so much that they exist (though it does baffle me, some of them are pretty good tho) but that the music doesn't match the actual game's at all. like. sequels consistently remix the original game's music. prequels don't do that at all. even for, like, fillbots, shoot-'em-up and micro-row, where the sequels' music is basically identical to the original's. none of the prequels have music that matches the actual game's. ,,, which actually makes sense given that prequel rhythm rally's music has test in it file name i'm pretty sure klsdfjfldksdfjdfsfs-

been playing some of rescue team dx again since my old file got deleted (weird switch data transfer shit; im playing as a Cyndaquil and my partner's a Treecko). here are some things id like to note have happened so far

my rescue team's name is Team Transgender. not only does that mean basically every pokemon part of the team is trans but also that some npcs are like "Is this where Transgender is based?" or the game's like "[Pokemon] has felt a kinship with Transgender..." it honestly enhances the experience

the sheer amount of pecha and rawst berries ive found and never needed

can't remember what pokemon wanted it but one request was for something called a Famous Stone. help

somehow got not one, not two, not three, not four, but FIVE Ledyba to follow me in one mission. only 4 of them joined because I already had one but the extras all have names like "jason derulo" or "Among Us"
