Backstory Kami is the only daughter of Raiden and Alita, making her a Demi-Goddess. Her mother, Alita, was a mortal Sage who traveled the world to aid those in need. Her ability to heal had never been seen by a mortal before, so it caught Raiden's eye. Eventually, Alita worked with Raiden to become one of its defenders from Shao Kahn. But she warned Raiden that she wouldn't be able to do it for very long. Alita had a curse put on her blood, yes, she had great power, but in exchange for it she would have a short life. She was not expected to live past 40. This curse was put on her family by Quan Chi, when her ancestor Beau crossed him during battle. For that reason she refused to have a child. Raiden took this as a reason not to get attached to her in any way. To keep this relationship professional only. But, the more time he spent with her, the more he found himself falling for her, as she also fell for him. They decided that they would be happier being together than apart, even if only for a short time. Soon enough, Alita became pregnant. But rather than be scared, she was relieved. She knew that Raiden's God blood would erase the curse, and her child/family would be free. When Kami was born, it was the happiest day of Alita's and Raiden's lives, finally knowing the joy of having a family life. Something they both thought they'd never have. Kami's childhood was a very happy one, full of love and joy from her parents, being prepared to face her eventual role to defender Earthrealm. It all changed when she turned 13, Alita's curse had taken over and she died in her sleep. This shook Kami's world to the core. She went from being a happy, full of life, shameless girl to a quiet, kept to herself, drown herself in training teen. Raiden, while in mourning himself, tried to get Kami to quit this unhealthy lifestyle but it was no use. Kami preferred to exhaust herself then feel the pain of her mother's death. One day, during her meditation, she left the candle next to her unbalanced without realizing. A gust of wind blew through and the candle fell on her legs. It caused massive burn scars on her legs that she became shy of. This incident caused her to see just how much she was hurting herself. It wasn't just the burns, the lack of eating made her unbearably thin, her nails weak, and her body perpetually tired. She saw that she was basically killing herself in her grief. She apologized to her father, saying that she should have listened to him, that if she did, this wouldn't have happened. Raiden assured her that she didn't need to apologize, that he was just happy that she was quitting that lifestyle, that all she needs to do is keep herself in mind, and find a better way to grieve. Kami did just that, and everything was back to normal within a year. When she turned 21, she went to go travel the world herself, to gain a sense of who she is on her own. During these travels, she visited villages that needed miracles. They were sick, unbelievably sick. No normal human could save them. She took it upon herself to heal these villages. To save everyone that she could throughout the world. This earned her the name "Goddess of Healing". This is what she did while defending Earthrealm from Outworld up until the tournament. She wasn't a kombatant, rather a healer for those who didn't die. Despite that she wasn't there to fight, Shao Kahn had Baraka challenge her. Kami beat him in 30 seconds, saying that the Emperor needed better fighters if he really wanted to challenge her. After the Outworld invasion, she went to Outworld in disguise to gain allies against him. This is when she met Maeve, who led her to the Rebellions hideout. She befriended all of the rebels and gained their trust. She became very close to Maeve, soon gaining undeniable feelings for her. These feelings only grew stronger as time went on. She also became close to Maeve's sons, Mercutio and Romeo, becoming a second parent to them. After 5 years of pining, they finally got together and married. Nowadays, Kami takes her sons with her on her travels to go and heal the

unfortunate. Making them future healers themselves. Maeve occasionally comes with, to teach the humans alchemy.

Fighting style Kami uses her lightning and Sage abilities to gain an edge in her opponent. She's not very good at hand to hand combat, but she makes up for it by being unbelievably fast on her feet, almost as if she's teleporting. She doesn't use any weapons, unless you count whips made out of lightning as weapons.

Trivia *Her Sage abilities can have her shape her aura into physical matter. She mainly uses this to provide comfort to her patients, like giving them blankets and pillows. Anything that will calm them down *She's terrified of bodies of water, she's afraid that she'll kill everything if she gets into one *Though she doesn't have the blood curse, she still has gained the purple features of it. The purple tint to her hair and her purple lips are from the traces of it *Maeve is the only person that can make her lose her composure *She's still a bit shy about her scars, she hides them because people staring at the make her feel uncomfortable. Varian is trying to build up her confidence about it *When Liu Kang referred her as his big sister for the first time, she cried legit tears of happiness *When she's aggravated, lightning will strike like crazy outside *She hates how humans don't make doors big enough for her, she hits her head so often that she almost always has a bruise on her forehead *She had to keep it together and not cry when Mercutio and Romeo called her Mama for the first time *When she's healing someone, her whole body glows purple and she levitates off the ground a little *Her lightning is, you guessed it, purple *Johnny and Varian are the ones that call her Thunder Junior, everyone else calls her Lady Kami *She has a garden full of foxes that she treats like pets *Scary RBF face, it rivals Raiden's. She doesn't get why everyone thinks that she's mad all the time *Will meditate for a week straight then act like nothing happened *Her favorite food is pepperoni pizza, she doesn't care how unhealthy it is, it's so delicious
