#i know im not that active and only reblog but the POTENTIAL!

im just here to bitch to people who will understand lol all of my friends and my BROTHER keep fucking reblogging that bullshit post abt a trans guy whos 'gay both ways' (the one where hes gay with men and a 'lesbian' when hes with women) and it makes me fucking sick. not only are they invalidating my lesbianism, but they are also actively feeding into my REGULAR breakdowns about me potentially being a man/ending up with another trans guy and being stuck in that relationship. im terrified that one day im gonna realize im actually a man. this is a known fear i have, that i cant talk about bc its apparently 'transphobic' for me to be scared of being seen as a man. but im not a man! i know im not a man! i would fucking hate being a man! i just wanna get on T and be a masculine dyke.
even worse bc my friends are all trans themselves, a whole bunch are either gay men or bisexuals of various genders. FUCK even my friend whos a transbian is rebloging it and it makes me wanna cry. all of the people who are supposed to understand me and be in a community with me, dont see a problem with a man regularly sleeping with lesbians? it makes me feel insane bc no one else seems to even care than at best that dude is implying lesbians can 'find the right man' and at worse actively showing men an avenue to have sex with lesbians (aka fucking rape them! its rape!! no one seems to get it and i feel like im going insane.) idk it seems more and more that i need to just suck it up and have sex with men, trans and otherwise, to exist.
I’ve noticed how a lot of LGBTQ+ people love internalized transphobia, and the saddest thing is that they don’t even notice it’s internalized transphobia.
If you’re a man, your attraction to women will never be lesbian, regardless if you’re cis or trans. If you think you get a pass to call yourself a lesbian because you’re a trans man congratulations on being transphobic.
I wouldn’t be surprised if these are the same people who think transandrophobia is real.
I’m so sorry. They’re not really your friends if that’s the way they see your sexuality…

my toxic trait is i go to make a tier list but i keep adding more and more and more and more tiers n then ive used up all the damn tier colors again.nyways rambles
-dont ask me to explain susie/zan my bestie mentioned it once n i thought it sounded cute then i thought more abt it n was admitted to an asylum for developing a new mental illness over them but i have aphasia i unno how to explain it listen it just works ok
-i am only capable of truly liking doomed ships n foil ships n oddly specific crackships.alas why every tier after sectonia/taranza is not an actual ship i have
-metadedede to me is like.sorry beforehand but its kinda like when a show has a straight ship thats quite cute so you dont actively ship it but you do think "aw thats sweet :)" when you see stuff of them.sorry for claiming theyre similar to a straight ship again
-carol/leon is that too but slightly less effective bc theyre not as established as meta n dedede
-i dont ship ribbon/adeleine but a mutual does so its the best of the ships in the yellow tier btw
-i think magolor should just be stuck forever to be platonically obsessed w chilly who doesnt want to be bfffffs w him.he doesnt even know what that is.that or rly fucking dramatic relationship drama theres no way magolor washes the dishes.n i want a damn latino novela w 300 capítulos of metasusie not working out.
-i dont get the knight ships or why theyre so popular at all but again im legally not allowed to judge most ships
-marx is like.12 to me kirby will grow up to be a dense aromantic (they already r but the wording sounded funny) (THO i do think ribbon n prince fluff liking them one sided-ly has great comedic potential).elfilin is beyond the need of romance.also hes too dumb anyways.also bandee isnt aro but he lowkey hates most of the star allies hes not gonna date marx lmao.n ngl i never even thought of bandee n sailor even knowing each other.i dont know why i put the two enemy knights there.
-i refuse to have in depth thoughts on the mirror world lore bc hals gonna debunk all of it anyways but the little i do have.girl youre not dating d minds little dedede puppet who runs on pure rage lmaooooo
-remember the toxic dysfunctional yaoi from the kirby anime.yeag.
(og tierlist post btw i got shy for putting it in the reblogs u_u)

yessssss omg. I can’t tell you how disheartened I’ve been lately about essentially being left on read every single time i extend myself, looking to either plot or even just chat with people. old partners and new potential partners both.
and yeah, like you said, people are busy/have health issues/etc, but i do too and i’m still out here doing my best to at least communicate. it really grinds my gears when i see people i’ve reached out to countless times complain very publicly about no one writing with them or talking to them when i Know im probably not the only one they are putting on the back burner. ive started unfollowing these people and i think its caused some drama in certain circles, but what is the point of me following an rp blog that i wanted to write with if they cant even bother to respond to me ooc after weeks or months?
mental/physical health breaks are ABSOLUTELY valid, but to expect constant effort on your partners’ parts, and to never reciprocate in turn is Not Okay. relationships of any kind cannot be sustained like that.
disheartened is a very accurate word to describe it.
obviously no one expects dms to be replied to in 32 seconds or anyone to be online 24/7, but as a whole the community has taken reasonable sentiments like "it's okay to take breaks and be slow with replies" as a free pass to never to reply to anything and refuse to engage with mutuals.
i've lost the count of how many people i've seen on my dash complain about having no interactions or reblog those "i'm a forgetful rper but i still want to write with you" posts when i KNOW for a fact i have sent them dms to plot MONTHS before they never answered, i've sent them memes they never replied, i've liked their starter calls but my like went ignored as well as i have wrote them starters that are still sitting in my blog without reply for months.
like, at some point we all have to take responsibility for our own activity. we can't all expect everyone else to carry us because we're "oopsie forgetful".
not only it's draining always being the one to reach out it also tells me they don't respect my time and energy as if i don't have irl shit to deal with too. like, i'm writing this with a broken arm and a full arm cast on my dominant hand. but i still find time to reply to people's dms because i'm not the center of the universe and other's people's time and energy is valuable too.
and it is very disheartening not being treated with the same basic decency.

Blog Info (Rules and Such)
First off, apologies for how rough this is...I’m not very good at this kind of thing. And honestly, I’m pretty chill.
Basic Info
This blog is an 18+, Multiverse, Multimuse OC Blog with a few select canon characters from other blogs. I have many characters that I’ve developed for more than half my life at this point.
The main Universe of this blog is a story I’ve written (on paper, sorry you can’t read it). And while it will be referenced regularly, very little interaction will happen there.
I interact with many fandoms, though primarily Pokemon, Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel, and Sonic.
And last, I am 99.9% mobile bound. I just find it easier, honestly. And because I can use it at the same time as doing just about anything else. As such, trimming is not exactly easy for me.
Rules
Do not Follow or Interact if you are under the age of 18. If you do and I find out, you will be blocked. This is a heavily nsfw blog, both for dark themes and smut. I tag things and will often readmore when I feel like I should, but I dont like the idea of minors even potentially seeing it.
The above does also include intermittent reblogging of NSFW art, though mostly artistic nudity and such. Often sensual rather than outright sexual...but sometimes the latter if I particularly enjoy a piece.
I am Selective but not mutual exclusive. I’m willing to give just about anybody a chance, but I do have limits and standards. And I do favor Mutuals over non-mutuals, as well as anyone I consider a close friend. I most often dont follow someone as a means to keep my dash clean.
I do block on site anything that even remotely seems like a bot. Super weird names, no icons alongside an empty blog. I think at this point most of us readily recognize them. So if you are interested in following, make sure you do at least the basic steps to show you are a real person.
I am pretty chill, and there’s nothing that really bothers me trigger wise. However, like many, I have no interest in drama and callouts. Keep me out of your problems, I’m here to have fun. And as someone who has suffered a lot because of false accusations and bandwagon culture...I just want to do what I do.
I can write anywhere from one liners to multi para, I do my best to match when the mood sets in. I’ll do any sort of threads, and have basically no lines (outside the obvious) to what kind of content might be involved. Smut, light violence (i.e. pokemon grade), fluffy threads, and crack are the most prominent.
I try my best to respond quickly, but muse comes and goes. I’ll draft when I dont reply, and as long as a random hiatus doesnt hit me, I should reply in a relatively good time. Please don’t bother me too much about it.
Unless otherwise specified, like something tagged for someone specific. Any ic post is free to be responded to.
I accept IMs, but only for OOC. And I don’t rp on Discord...the format just burns my brain out.
Not sure if there’s much else, rules wise that I can think of. Like I said, I’m not good at this, and I’m chill.
A little bit of mun stuff
I go by Raven, though I also accept Eclipse and Dusk as names. I am a 30+ mun, Cis-male, homosexual and mixed-ethnicity between Caucasian and Native American (a near 50/50 split).
I am autistic, have various forms of anxiety and depression, and adhd. I try my best to do what I can here, but it’s not the easiest sometimes. I have been known to go on long hiatuses and lose muses entirely for periods of time. It’s not on anyone but myself when that kind of thing happens.
I’ll be working on getting my characters moved to Posts so that I can link them better, since I know many people are mobile these days, and browser page links are iffy at best. Posts work better...when they are ready they’ll be below here. I’ll also give a list of my more important non-character tags when I’ve compiled them

KNOWING YOUR PARTNER WELL CAN POTENTIALLY MAKE WRITING TOGETHER A LOT EASIER. ( REPOST DO NOT REBLOG ! )
Tumblr media
NAME:  Toastie
PRONOUNS:  she/her
PREFERENCE OF COMMUNICATION:  discord, preferably
NAME OF MUSE(S):  here’s my canons and my ocs!
EXPERIENCE / HOW LONG (MONTHS/YEARS?):  i’ve been roleplaying since 2014 on tumblr.
PLATFORMS YOU’VE USED:  i started on amino and discord, then moved to here in 2014!
BEST EXPERIENCE: honestly? the VERY first interaction i had with @resiliency-in-starlight has been the best experience since last year. the first threads we ever did were a start and i LOVE them so much.
RP PET PEEVES / DEALBREAKERS:  personally, i’m not someone who has a lot of pet peeves or dealbreaker type things? but i have two main things: constantly remaking blogs & drama. the first one is if it’s every few months to where i CANNOT track you or find you. im not gonna waste my time to find you after remaking your blog for the 6th time in a year. and for the second? it’s both with people and with anons. if you are constantly posting anons that send shit to you, i’m not gonna stick around to feel empathy. i only have so much sympathy for people, and im not gonna waste my energy seeing angst on my dash like that. and im sorry if it seems like a sore spot for people, but i have little tolerance for people who abuse anon; you add onto it by responding over and over in a consistent way. i’m not gonna stay for it.
FLUFF, ANGST, OR SMUT:  fluff and angst are MY absolute favorites. i will eat that shit up EVERY DAY! equally speaking bc they both play SO well together. as for smut, that is ONLY if both me and my partner want to go with it. i dont do smut that much because it generally takes me a lot to make it sound right. im a perfectionist when it comes to smut and it comes once in a while.
PLOTS OR MEMES:  MEMES! I LOVE MEMES! personally, unless you’re someone who i actively talk to, plotting is almost never happening UNLESS its an idea we both can agree on. other than that? memes are THE easiest way to do threads.
LONG OR SHORT REPLIES:  it depends on who i’m writing with! i tend to write out a lot, but i match often with my partners. short or long players can go either way!
BEST TIME TO WRITE:  night time SPECIFICALLY for drafts. morning time is for inboxes and dash commentary stuff. i tend to space between times during the day when i write and what i write. but i tend to pull late night writing sessions to get stuff done. sometimes, if i have enough brain rot, i insta-reply to stuff. but it depends on the time of day usually!
ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S):  in little ways, yeah. every oc AND canon have something i relate to. am i entirely LIKE them? no, not really. do i have some muses that i would say i kin? oh yeah, absolutely. a good chunk of my primary muses are ones i stick to for my favorite characters bc they remind me of myself.
tagged by: @allnostalgic (thank uuu) tagging: @resiliency-in-starlight @lawain-dimensional-heroes @hifimuses @thuganomxcs and you! steal it from me

KNOWING YOUR PARTNER WELL CAN POTENTIALLY MAKE WRITING TOGETHER A LOT EASIER. ( REPOST DO NOT REBLOG ! )
Tumblr media
name:  Bee, Britt, Brittany (honestly call me whatever, I don't really care)
pronouns: she/her
preference of communication: discord is definitely preferred, but i'm also okay with tumblr ims
name of muse(s): I have quite a few tbh. Max is my most active. Then I have three TVD muses, and a multi muse blog that I haven't really gotten off the ground.. (props to all the multis out there.. it is haaard)
platforms you’ve used: tumblr and discord
best experience: Honestly it has been meeting all of you lovely people. The ST fandom is ON SOMETHING more than half the time, but my mutuals, and all of the people i've gotten close to on here have made it so worth it.
rp pet peeves / dealbreakers: I don't have many. Just don't be an asshole. I HATE DRAMA.. and please for the love of god, cut your posts. idk why but it's a huuuuuuge dealbreaker for me. oh, and if you cannot respect peoples boundaries, we do not have a place as mutuals. Sorry if these are insensitive , but...
fluff, angst, or smut: I am honestly a fan of all three of them. I WILL NOT SMUT ON THIS BLOG BC MAX IS UNDERAGED, AND THAT'S JUST GROSS... WRONG. NOT HAPPENING. (also if / when I do smut on other blogs, I only do it if i'm extremely comfy with you, and it's been years.) but ANGST AND FLUFF PLS GIVE ME ALL THE ANGST AND FLUFF YOU HAVE.
plots or memes: I am okay with both. I'm not the best at plotting, but I am always up for trying. memes , send me those all day bc we love them over here. but tbh , I just love writing and growing relationships, however that ends up happening.
best time to write:  whenever my muse wants to cooperate. but a lot of the times it is not the morning.
are you like your muse(s): I am not sure? Am I?
tagged by: a few people, I am the worst and can't remember them all. so I am going to tag a couple that I believe tagged me, and if they didn't well this is awkward. @munsontm @spehllman & others.
tagging: @nanlanmo @kingsnack @alxnetxgether @scarednotscary @familybyerstm @cahroline @partysheart & whoever else wants to do it.

KNOWING  YOUR  PARTNER  WELL  CAN  POTENTIALLY  MAKE  WRITING  TOGETHER  A  LOT  EASIER.  (  repost,  don’t  reblog  )
○    name:  chey
○    pronouns:  she/her
○    preference  of  communication:  ooc  i  prefer  im’s  and  i’m  cool  with  sharing  my  discord  ( i’m  flakey  regardless of  platform  tbh )
○     name  of  muse(s):  most  active  atm  is  harry  and  @khozmoh
○     experience/how  long  (months/years?):  about  15  years  give  or  take.
○     platforms  you’ve  used:  embarrassing  anyway,  habbo  hotel,  facebook,  bebo,  tumblr,  discord
○     best  experience:  i  had  the  best  time  on  bebo,  the  set  up  for  the  site  was  really  good  for  beginners,  i  met  some  incredible  people,  you  could  write  threads  both  publicly  and  privately  on  the  same  platform  and  being  able  to  write  in  the  inbox  meant  you  could  very  easily  go  back  and  re-read  them.  the  only  downside  was  it  wasn’t  very  good  for  having  multiple  threads  at  once  when  writing  and  replying  publicly  so  you  could  only  do  one  public  thread  at  a  time.  it  was  fun  though.
○      rp  pet  peeves  /  dealbreakers:  pet  peeve  is  passivity  ig.  i  get  irritated  when  people  continue  doing  things  they  don’t  enjoy.  dealbreakers  is  racism,  as  an  indigenous  woc  i  deal  with  racism  on  a  daily  basis  and  i  don’t  want  to  engage  with  any  of  that  in  rp,  this  extends  to  racist  muses  or  muses  that  commit  racially  motivated  actions.  even  things  that  have  racist  parallels  can  upset  me,  so  i  try  to  steer  clear.
○      fluff,  angst,  or  smut:  i  like  them  all  but  i  find  that  i  prefer  when  there  is  a  purpose  to  the  angst.  i  don’t  want  to  write  angst  with  no  end,  angst  for  the  sake  of  angst,  i  want  to  write  angst  that  develops,  that  causes  muses  to  grow,  shift,  reflect,  either  regress  or  progress,  or  to  demonstrate  connection,  intimacy,  vulnerability  and  closeness  to  my  partners  muses.  only  writing  angst  or  only  exploring  one  sided  angst  doesn’t  really  do  it  for  me.
○      plots  or  memes:  another  bi  bitch  moment  where  i  say  both / all.  meme’s  are  fun  prompts  to  explore  or  opening  up  a  dialogue  and  seeing  what  happens  and  can  help  develop  dynamics.  i  find  them  a  lot  easier  than  attempting  to  plot  with  fresh / new  people,  memes  are  good  starter  prompts  and  good  for  exploring  new  ideas  without  having  to  stick  100%  to  one  idea,  i  like  the  flexibility  of  memes.  plots  are  cool  for  ongoing  interactions  and  development,  for  giving  use  a  little  kick  to  get  the  ball  rolling  or  to  give  our  muses  a  specific  arc  for  ongoing  interactions,  trials,  struggles  etc  and  to  provide  a  clear  setting  for  these  things  but  i’ve  found  that  too  much  plotting  can  be  a  bit  rigid.
○      long  or  short  replies:  long.  i  like  reading  and  writing  and  knowing  things.  tell  me  everything  and  i’ll  tell  you  everything,  include  all  the  context  you  want  and  i’ll  do  the  same.
○      best  time  to  write:  nights.  usually  around  6pm-1am  is  when  i  get  stuff  done,  limited  distractions  and  no  interruptions.
○      are  you  like  your  muse(s):  nope.  if  i  go  off  my  active  muses,  i’m  nothing  like  harry,  we  share  no  similarities  or  parallels  at  all  and  i’d  hate  him  if  he  were  real.  cosmo  and  i  have  some  similarities  as  far  as  depression  and  how  we  deal  with  it  but  nothing  that  really  leaps  out  as  being  like  him.

❛  𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐒𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐃 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍 𝐌𝐘 𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐄 — i am so much more than i was. this is what i was meant to be. ❜
Tumblr media
𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐇𝐀𝐖𝐊𝐄. he had a stare like a templar, drive like a warden, and more skill than sense. and i’ll not say a bad word more than that, because i'm still here and ruddy kings aren't. — and that's because of men like him trying.
Tumblr media
⌈ about … full dossier … rules below ⌋
Tumblr media
o1. this is an indie, selective, and 18+ carver hawke ( dragon age 2 ) roleplay blog. interactions will be solely for people i am in mutual follows with. i will not be following non-rp blogs or blogs without some form of rules, nor will i interact with gender bends/cis swaps or duplicate muses. i'm unfortunately very opinionated about carver and i'd hate to nitpick another person's interpretation.
o2. before he is hawke’s brother, carver is his own character. i usually follow the decisions i choose for carver. within my main verse, carver is a warden on the friendship route; his templar verse is to be used at my discretion.*
( *templar muses may assume carver’s templar verse as the default for ease of interaction. )
o3. please do not use super small text with me. my eyes are bad with a real gnarly astigmatism. on that note, i know it's extremely popular right now, but i'm not interested in writing with those double- or triple- spacing their posts. i struggle to read it and won't force myself through trying.
o4. if you ask for a starter and i write one for you, please like the post so that i know you’ve seen it. if you don’t, i’ll probably send it to you via im, you’ll say you saw it, i’ll mention my rules and just generally have a lowered opinion of you. same goes for ask memes.
i don’t really care about reblog karma. send memes only if you want replies. i’d rather not waste my time because the common convention is that it’s polite to leave something in someone’s ask box before you reblog.
o5.  tag your nsfw, ooc, and vagueblogging. don’t follow otherwise.
i’m a qmoc who’s been in darp for years and i know how this fandom gets about its white male faves and white elves and white mages. uwu i’m tired of white roleplayers co-opting radical language to post uninformed cold takes for a fandom which revolves around some eurocentric fantasyland written largely by and for white audiences.
tl;dr if you’ve got #magerights in your about but hate vivienne, don’t follow me.
o6.  i am non-exclusive and tentatively multi-ship, but i will likely only with one of any character and prefer mutual ship exclusivity.
more information on ships/shipping here!
o7. if you have triggers that should be tagged, please let me know. the tagging system on this blog boils down to subject tw / cw. i tag the essentials such as nsfw, gore, death, etc. as they occur, if they do at all.
o8. thank you for making it through my rules! i’m thomas ( he/him/his ) and i’m really not that much of a stickler, i promise. i’m twenty-seven, engaged, and operating as a legal assistant by day, no-skill gamer by night. i pull some wacky hours, so expect low activity.
 ⋙      𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐬.
on warden carver vs templar carver.
on malcolm’s absence in carver’s life.
on carver and his views on mortality.
on carver’s mundane aspects.
on carver’s attitude towards the templars, especially in act i.
on carver’s dislike of anders.
on carver’s attempts at befriending fenris.
on the potential carver and merrill had.

*    knowing  your  partner  well  can  potentially  make  writing  a  lot  easier,    repost,    do  not  reblog.
                                           meet the mun.  — basics
NAME:  Bella PRONOUNS:   she/her PREFERENCE OF COMMUNICATION:  IMs on here are a great way to get ahold of me. I do have discord and I'm much more active there than I used to be but I check tumblr way more often than discord. SINGLE / TAKEN: Single
— three facts
I played softball throughout my undergrad. I was the third baseman (though sometimes was the DH) and I'd been playing that position since I was 11 years old, and softball since I was like 5.
I have two horses that are my pride and joy and have been riding since I was a little girl.
I am ambidextrous and view it as my superpower. Eat it Superman.
— experience
I've been writing/roleplaying since I was 11. I started out on that Moviestarplanet place and created a whole world of characters on there and stories with a bunch of random people, but my mom supervised everything on there because she didn't trust chatrooms (rightfully so) but it was still fun and I got to decorate cool rooms and stuff so that really helped unleash my inner storyteller. I started writing on like weird vampire/werewolf rp sites when I was 15 but it was too much for my innocent 15 year old heart so I didn't do a lot of that then I started writing Gwen Stacy on kik before one of the people I wrote with mentioned Tumblr so I came here when I was 16. I've been canon characters and oc's in multiple different fandoms and I'm honestly so embarrassed by the way I used to write and even though I have my days of feeling super crappy as a writer I'm proud of the progress I've made. This place has absolutely helped me get through school with being as good of a writer as I am in school so I'm so grateful for that. I'm very new to the MCU fandom and even newer to the Netflix's Marvel fandom and sometimes I feel like I'm too late to the party, especially since I believe the height of Marvel was probably from 2014-2019 but I'm still very lucky to be here and have such good, creative, wonderful, and talented people to write and create stories with.
— sub-genres
I've only ever wrote in the realm of fiction and Marvel and Supernatural would be the two fandoms that I've ever wrote in. Deep diving in to now the Marvel genres I have now are Captain America's storyline and of course Daredevil. And inside that- angst always lol
— plots vs memes
Honestly I'm usually one to start out from a meme and dive from there. I'm not the best plotter at the very beginning. I think it's sometimes hard to get things lined up right away so I usually let the meme inspire me and go from there. Don't get me wrong, I love to plot, but I think sometimes it can almost feel forced or take away from the creativeness so memes are typically the way to go with me.
— long or short replies
Long. Even when I try to keep something short for the sake of a quick banter or whatever, I just struggle. I dive too much into description sometimes so short stuff is HARDDD. Plus sometimes I feel guilty that short stuff can spam the dash.
— best time to write
Oh gosh. Nights are usually when I write and on weekends, but summer is a free for all and sometimes that makes it worse because I can procrastinate because I have a "bunch of free time". I like being on a set schedule so then evenings and weekends can be my time to write.

KNOWING YOUR PARTNER WELL CAN POTENTIALLY MAKE WRITING TOGETHER A LOT EASIER. ( REPOST DO NOT REBLOG ! )
○    name: Jen
○    pronouns: she/her
○    preference of communication: Tumblr IM unless I’ve personally given you my discord
○     name of muse(s): Negan Smith
○    experience/how long (months/years?): 5 years writing Negan, close to 12 years overall
○    platforms you’ve used: Tumblr. I tried AIM, Skype, and email back in the day, but it didn’t work for me. I’ve used discord before as well but only for a select partner.
○    best experience: On this blog, meeting @mercyprevaild and everything we’ve gotten to develop and write together. I also loved liveblogging twd with my mutuals back when the fandom was still super active.
○    rp pet peeves / dealbreakers: godmodding, holier than thou complex, purple prose, unreadable formatting, disrespecting me, my rules, or my muse. Too much immediate emphasis on ships/smut/muse attractiveness is a red flag for me as well.
○    fluff, angst, or smut: All three, but I like fluff and angst more than smut.
○    plots or memes: Memes, but both. I prefer a little plotting to at least figure out a starting point/how our muses will interact, particularly when it comes to muses mine doesn’t know in canon, but once that’s figured out I find memes easier to get things going.
○    long or short replies: Both. I have a habit of writing longer replies (5+ paras), especially with memes, but in threads my comfort zone is realistically in the 1-4 paragraph range. I need some shorter things because if my drafts are always 4+ paragraphs long, I get stressed out and overwhelmed.
○    best time to write: Whenever I can concentrate. This is usually later at night.
○    are you like your muse(s): Negan and I are extremely different in terms of personality and behavior and interests, but we do have similarities in other ways.

As a dramione writer, do you have any tips on how to attract readers to your fics? I have a wip on the way, but I'm scared no one will click on it because it's not finished yet.
hi anon! i'm very lucky to have found a readership during a really unique time in fandom right at the beginning of the pandemic. the fandom experience already feels much different now than it did two years ago. so while i've got some general tips and/or tricks, i can't totally speak to their efficacy in the present fandom climate. i'm just gonna throw out a bunch of random thoughts here in the hopes that at least something is moderately helpful!
when posting a wip, if you don't already have an established reader base, i would highly encourage a regular and reliable update schedule clearly stated in your author's note that you stick to as best you can. yes fandom is for fun and shouldn't feel like work, but if your goal is attracting and retaining readers, having a reliable update schedule, sticking to it, and finishing your works is a huge way to build trust with readers. if you know your total chapter count, i'd recommend posting with that chapter count estimated rather than the ?? option to show potential readers that there's a plan for your fic. once a week or twice a week updates are about as frequent as i'd recommend posting. as hard as it can be to wait, readers need time. anything more frequent than twice a week and i've found that people simply can't/won't keep up.
i've posted at just about every time of day and day of the week and i haven't noticed exceptionally consistent trends aside from a slight bump on weekends when people have more time. however, there's also more competition on weekends because more people post then for that exact reason.
if you have the time and discretionary mental energy, social media is a big help in straight up advertising a fic but also in making friends and building relationships. people are more inclined read their friends' work. i'm not saying go make friends in fandom specifically so they'll read your wip, but if you invest in the community aspect of fandom, fandom usually invests back in you.
twitter is probably the most active fandom space for making connections and sharing fics right now, but it can also be super overwhelming so i highly recommend (and this applies to all platforms) curating your feed to match the fandom experience you want. things like #dhrwipwednesday on twitter are a great way to sneak peek your wip and potentially get some new eyes on it because the account will usually retweet anyone using the hashtag. good ole tumblr is nice and reliable in terms of like...platform temperament, and you can also use dramione-based hashtags when posting about fics here, but it's not quite as active as twitter and requires a little more work to build followers. im not a huge fan of fandom facebook groups but those are also an option for places to advertise. my favorite social media option is discord, if you only choose one place, discord is the one i'd pick because its not quite as hectic as twitter, but still active and a great place to build connections. with self advertising, i will add that i do think it's possible to overdo it and ultimately turn people off of the idea of reading your stuff because they can't seem to escape promotion about it. my recommendation is to just keep an eye on how most people go about advertising themselves (generally speaking the convention is one post per update per platform, sometimes with a later reblog/retweet for different timezones) and imitate that.
if you want to make an aesthetic to go along with your fic, thats a great way to get a little extra interest when advertising. i use canva for all mine because i find it quick and easy to use. and then there are sites like unsplash where you can find high quality photos available to use.
lastly, and think most importantly, focus on the writing itself. a good story and good writing will inspire other people to be excited about your work. and those people will often share stories they love on discord or twitter. word of mouth generated by a reader's enjoyment of your story is the best advertisement in the world. so more than anything else, that's what will attract and retain readers.
and a final caveat, you don't have to do any of this stuff! you can quite literally do whatever you want, but i completely understand wanting people to read your work. none of us would be sharing our stories online if we didn't want at least someone to read it, and so if you want to be strategic about trying to get some readers, these are just a few strategies. ultimately (cheesy as it is) it's most important to be happy with your own writing and to try (i know it's nearly impossible) not to focus too much on things like stats, because that can really suck the joy out of the entire experience.
hope this was helpful anon! good luck with your wip!!

Also, it was just brought to my attention, not for the first time, that a growing number of content creators on Tumblr specifically would rather their art, graphics, et al be interacted with without any mediation or active engagement, that even tags added to their posts are seen as unwelcome and even rude, that meta and media analysis are now forms of that rudeness. As an educator, as a PhD in the field of visual media analysis, I am reeling and genuinely afraid for the state of critical thinking with younger and younger groups of media influencers and content creators because unlike Instagram or Twitter or other sites, Tumblr was originally intended for the collaboration and recontextualization of original content. Has this changed? Do we never discuss post content in reblogs? Do we simply "stay in our lane" and add it to our blog and always make new posts to express our thoughts and ounter points, even though the posts we are adding onto are didactic tools that help us illustrate the point we're discussing? Do all content creators feel this way, or is this a matter of personal preference?
PLEASE NOTE: I am NOT saying that my view is correct or that my concerns are valid. I could very well be getting out of touch with the function of this platform. But im actually afraid this is indicative of a bigger problem in social media that the collective trauma of the pandemic has worsened: we don't let anything become contentious or controversial, even when it's civil debate, or even when it bears a lot of intellectual fruit ro be reflective of self and others and the things we create to express ourselves. We are all too tired of literally trying to stay alive in a dystopia to face any more potential negativity in our personal spaces, so we just don't "go there." Right? I feel this fatigue too. I get it completely. But it's still a scary trend. We are devolving as free thinkers.
When I make a post, or post an artwork, I know I may only be speaking for me, but I actively expect it to be reblogged and discussed on multiple analytical levels, by a very diverse array of bloggers with different viewpoints. As a painter, I know and robustly respect the idea that the content creator has a right to thei boundaries and to their original work. But does reblogging it to TALK ABOUT IT, to give it more exposure and more varied frameworks for consumption, really constitute rudeness??? I would genuinely like to know.
if Tumblr is becoming another place where intellectual exchange, including (civil, always civil!!!)criticism is seen as an unwelcome "intrusion," then I want to try to respect that (I guess?), but maybe I don't belong here anymore. And maybe it's good I realized that sooner rather than later.

KNOWING YOUR PARTNER WELL CAN POTENTIALLY MAKE WRITING TOGETHER A LOT EASIER. ( REPOST DO NOT REBLOG ! )
Tumblr media
name: ace
pronouns: whatever floats your boat, baby doll.
preference of communication: discord or tumblr ims
name of muse(s):  edward teague ( @thecodekeeper ), christophe julien de rapier, bootstrap bill ( @thiievesandbeggars ), laszlo cravensworth, baron afanas, and so on...yeah. although, to be fair i’m really only active on here and teague’s blog lol.
platforms you’ve used: tumblr and discord...also wikia and some forums forever ago.
best experience: Is it cheesy to say the friends I’ve made along the way? Yes? Well I don’t care. Shout out to @musecraft @trickstercaptain @mysticwrit and @lighthouseborn . You guys make up the entirety of my tumblr drafts folder across multiple blogs for a reason.
rp pet peeves / dealbreakers:  Christ...okay, I have a bit of a checklist when I peruse a new blog: If I see any callouts I’ll avoid a blog so damn fast. I just don’t care what Jane did to June. Work it out (or don’t) and leave that drama off my dash. I’ll also avoid blogs with excessive ebegging. Vague posting constantly (different from venting) and talking about how nobody likes you on dash is also a big fat no from me. Idk, man, just be cool. Learn to approach people. Don’t be an ass. Touch grass (and then smoke it, if you’re into that).
fluff, angst, or smut:  I’ll write angst and fluff but likely won’t be writing smut any time soon.
plots or memes:  I prefer plotting out at least some basics so we can have a general vibe for where our muses stand (i’m not one for ‘first meeting’ interactions unless it’s something unique). I do think memes are a wonderful way of starting new threads though, and I prefer those to posting starter calls. I’m also okay with just winging a thread as long as I know the other person is willing to “yes. and then...”
best time to write:  whenever I can focus + have time.
are you like your muse(s):  I hope not. My types are bad parents, narcissistic assholes, and adhd himbo’s. Then again, I do have ADHD and have be accused on occasion of being a narcissist so...maybe there’s something there.

Knowing your partner well can potentially make writing together a lot easier! || Dash game (repost, don’t reblog)
Tumblr media
Name: Toastie / Temmie
Pronouns: she/her (but i have no preference! you can refer to me by he/him or they/them, i rlly dont mind)
Preference of communication: Discord bc i’m active there AAAAAAAAALL the time
Name of muse(s): ...i have too many to throw down. i write both OC and Canon and i have 250+ muses (possibly more)
Experience/How long (Months/Years?): since 2014 (8+ years), probably later???
Platforms you’ve used: Tumblr, Discord, Amino (sadly), YouTube/Google+ (when it was first introduced), Skype
Best experience: god there are SO many best experiences but if i can name one, it’s probably the birthday dinner thread i did on Discord w/ @mistermxrgan months ago. i genuinely enjoyed it and had a lot of fun writing!
RP pet peeves/dealbreakers: i have so many but like... my main one is just no weird/vague ooc posts and drama shit. roleplay wise, dont try to beg my muse for attention in a vague way or use trauma for plots without telling me
Fluff, angst, or smut?:  YES FOR ALL THREE! however on smut, i am VERY on edge about it; it’s only available to mutuals i actively talk to and write with. i dont do casual smut bc i have no energy for it
Plots or memes?: MEMES! MEMES! they’re WAY easier for figuring out plots and prompts. plotting i can SORT OF do but only if me and my other partner have an idea we can agree on
Long or short replies?: tbh i do long replies. i only ever do short replies for crack purposes but it doesn’t last long
Best time to write?: i write at all times during the day. im active very late at night for SOME god awful reason
Are you like your muse(s)?: OH yeah, in some way or another. every single muse has something i relate to, INCLUDING canon muses. and yknow what? im not afraid to admit it. i might project on my muses a bunch but thats how i get to know my muses via writing
Tagged by: ripped it from both @pompedia and @boriiqua

[ GET TO KNOW YOUR WRITING PARTNER! ]
Knowing your writing partners can potentially make writing together a lot easier. Repost, don’t reblog.
NAME: Mari.
PRONOUNS: She/her.
PREFERENCE OF COMMUNICATION: Discord, once we’re mutuals and I feel there is a good chance of plotting to get things off the ground - the tumblr IM is just too small and annoying to work with, so I generally offer to switch to discord if my partner is also okay with that. :)
NAME OF MUSE(S): Only active blogs are Melissa, a FFVII OC with several other verses (on this blog) and Akiyama Shun, a canon muse from the Yakuza/RGG franchise ( @akiiyamashun ).
EXPERIENCE/HOW LONG: Oh, boy - I have been roleplaying before even realizing I was roleplaying. Technically I started with writing shared notes and passing them in class with friends back in 2000, haha. In terms of online roleplay, I did it most in LiveJournal communities with threads over AIM for 2006-2008ish, I think, then picked that up again in 2010-2012 but with MSN rather than AIM for threads and then remained mostly on MSN/Skype with a few partners until returning to tumblr around 2013-2014 and then the FFVII RPC from 2016 onward on tumblr (plus skype/discord). I’m old, I guess.
BEST EXPERIENCE: The friendships! I’ve met people from all over the world thanks to this hobby, and while I’ve not been able to keep in touch with everyone, I still have lovely friends I talk to frequently, as well as people to exchange gifts/cards/stuff with, not to mention just share some of the burden of our real lives when it’s too heavy. This is really an aspect I’m super fond of and I really look at my online friends as ‘regular’ friends. :) I’m always planning to meet up in person too (if only you guys lived closer, sometimes I think I’m the token South American member of the RPC I’m in).
RP PET PEEVES: I feel really frustrated when I get nothing to work with in a reply - another muse just passively reacting to whatever has happened but not asking questions / doing a new action / creating something new to move the plot forward is really a problem to me. Since I’m always trying to achieve some goal with my threads, feeling like I’m doing the heavy lifting all the time to get to that goal is very discouraging and tiresome. I’d rather have my partner writing in OCs/bystanders or even doing minor god-modding (like assuming my muse will take something, follow them, sit as requested etc) than an entirely passive, reflective reply only.
MUSE PREFERENCES FOR ANGST / FLUFF / SMUT: Give me everything! :D I am a sucker for happy endings more often than not so I usually counter angst with fluff but yes, I enjoy being wrecked by feelings on a daily basis. I love doing these alongside worldbuilding and fleshing out the world we’re writing in as well.
PLOTS OR MEMES: I’m a very plot-driven person and I struggle without an overall direction for a thread. My preference is to establish a ‘main verse’ for our muses in terms of interactions/timelines that is covered in threads, and use memes to go all over it. I’m not chronologically locked - we can write whenever in the timeline we are creating - but this is how my brain best processes information. My memes are always very detailed in terms of responses, so without plotting for dynamics/storyline I may get stuck and not be able to answer.
LONG OR SHORT REPLIES: I’m a multi-para/novella writer - writing has always been something of a hobby coupled with something that comes easily to me and I have trouble trying to keep stuff... Concise, I guess (it extends to work, even - the amount of times a boss of mine has gone on about how ‘less is more’ is something). It’s not even because a lot is happening in terms of actions - my writing style is kinda introspective and I can go forever about how my muse feels or how they think/are impacted by something. I try to tone this down and cut things to not go overboard ALL the time, particularly if this is not a preference of my partner.
BEST TIME TO WRITE: There is not a right time of the day per se - I tend to write more during my own work hours because I work from home (mostly) and already am on computer, so I just pepper my work day with some breaks for writing to keep me motivated. Sometimes I do more replies after work is done, if I’m not super sleepy and the ability to combine words in English is still intact.
ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE: Yes and no. We do share some similarities - mostly in the motherly/big sister vibes, and also I’m frequently an older/the oldest person of my group so the nurturing bit is quite natural; we’re also both talkative and enjoy connecting to people on a personal level - but I guess these are the closest we get to be. I come from a rather happy home/childhood, have taken career choices that are not related to artistic skills whatsoever and I do not consider myself nearly as feminine as Melissa is (I can barely walk in high heels, guys). Oh, I also do not have the habit of falling for dangerous men who have committed/can commit/will commit murder, that’s 100% on her.
