Eagerly Awaited, Extremely Belated: Whump Intro! :)

Saw a bunch of Whump Intro posts cross my dash this week, so I figured maybe I should make one too! Goodness knows this blog’s been around for long enough without one, so might as well! :)

I’m 99.9% a lurker, and I’m not so good at being the first one to reach out- but I love talking to people who reach out to me, so feel free to message me anytime! :)

Mostly, I like to make whumpy art, and playing around with OCs- so if you want to yell about your OC whumpees, I want to hear about them! :)

I do like to write about my OCs as well, but I rarely ever polish it lol. So if I can ever get around to cleaning them up a bit, you may get to see it! I also LOVE crossovers and having my OCs meet others, so let’s play together in the sandbox with our characters! :)

I dont read a ton of fic anymore but its wild people dont tag the genital type on omegaverse. Orz I tend toward the omegaboys have both peens and vaginas (but i like them to be like, yes they can have babies but it has higher conplications risks vs female omegas/betas) and i agonized over how to tag one when i put it up because i didnt want anyone going in and getting smacked with that. That seems like basic courtesy to me.

As I've mentioned, from what I've seen whenever I do read fic, more people have been getting more specific in their tagging. However, there have been times when I've clicked on an ABO/Omegaverse fic, made it halfway, and then been like 'Okay, so while I'm fine, I can guarantee you that there are several anatomical aspects that should have been tagged here'.

Honestly, all this talk about the trope has me thinking that maybe I should go try and read an F/F Omegaverse fic to see how people are handling it.

Because, I'll say it point-blank here, the last time that I was informed of anything Omegaverse-related for female/AFAB characters, the people discussing it pretty much wrote it like 'alphas, whether they're male or female, have knotting dicks to breed omegas'.

I just feel like, overall, the trope was made more for M/M ship application in mind. Though, again, as I mentioned on another ask, people make adjustments to their own application to make things less squicky or to explore different SocioSexual themes.
