Station 19 6x15

What in the fanfiction just happened? Like damn, I was so not ready for that. Do you think I could focus on anything besides Maya and Carina?

We finally got a shower scene and Danielle and Stefania really made the best out of it. A couple of things gagged me during this.

1. When Carina took off her pants, and she didn't have underwear? She went on a date without panties? She is a menace.

2. The way Maya put Carina's hair to the side. That kiss was hot. I don't like when they put their hand on each other faces. But I'm not complaining.

3. THAT KISS. Danielle really said let me upgrade that dearborn kiss to the wife version. It was too short, but no cuts, hair, aid cars, or walls. So no complaining.

4. Carina pinning Maya against the wall

4. The Neck kiss. Stefania knew we needed a scene like she had with Arizona on Greys and decided to deliver a better, sexier, and hotter version. I know Maya went to heaven and came back.

5. Three things are hot in this scene: 1. Carina's smile when Maya was going down. 2. Maya keeping eye contact 3. Both of those things.

But this is my favorite shot. All that was fun but the intensity in this The way they are were looking at each other. Damn!

Now the scene after that was so needed. I can't believe they gave us an actual conversation about it. Carina expressed her fears, and Maya listened and apologized.

And this shot. Paris, you are a genius.

Why did they put Carina in a towel tho? So she had something to do while saying all that? She could have said those lines pacing around the room. Because it was so silly the way she was putting her clothes, like she and Maya weren't devouring each other a couple minutes ago.

Other things about the episode:

Maya giggling when she realized what Carina meant by "hot shower" she is such a loser.

Everybody looked so pretty. Maya was glowing, and I didn't know if it was because in the first part of the season, she looked rough or what. But then Andy and Vic looked so pretty, but they are pretty, so.

Then Jack was looking pretty, too (That hasn't happened since season 3 for me). Even Sullivan was looking pretty (I do think Boris is handsome). I think this is a very hot cast, and the makeup department got a raise.

What was that scene with Theo and Alexa? To let us know he is stinky? We Know.

Jaina and Barrett were amazing in this episode. This cast is so talented. I hope they get better writing next season.

Zavier came through with the writing.

I love the slow burn and the pain, but I'm gonna need Carina to put her ring back. It's not funny anymore

Danielle is directing the next episode so I don't expect to have a lot of Maya scenes, but I can't wait to see what's next for them.

People complaining about the shower scene being edited that way, with a guy dying, but I get their vision. It's the parallels of someone dying in a fire and a new life being created in a shower, by Maya getting Carina pregnant.

I'm not complaining but if we could have gotten scenes like this and kisses like that. Why they were always interrupted, and their kisses were so safe.

This is the first time I get excited about Carina wanting a baby. When she was talking about her own practice.

I'm going to stay here until the next episode, btw.

Enchanté The Series - commentary (spoilers!)

For context, this is from a couple months ago when I watched the show. It's basically just my commentary as I watched the show so it's a huge mess and has a lot of ups and downs but I figured I'd post it anyways. I didn't edit it so it's just my original commentary in it's raw, natural, tumultuous state.

Only watched 1 or 2 parts of the first episode so far, but I'm obsessed

I actually Cried when Theo's grandma died even tho it wasn't some huge buildup or anything??

Also, Akk going to calm down Im on her livestream but getting pissed at the old lady for victim blaming??? "Auntie you cant say things like that. Women can wear whatever they want and men have no right to sexually assault them. Your mindset is a danger to our society" Absolute LEGEND!

Also Akk is Gorgeous oh my godh

I did get confused and think him and Theo were the same person until I saw them at the same time 🙈🙈

I'm loving the French music mixed in with Thai music. It's really pretty!!! A lot of the music is great.

I also love that baby Theo made self insert comics 😭😭 and made it so the knight saved the prince I guarantee they were in love lcjxjs

I really love this so far.. the characters are fun and no one is really annoying other than Phupha? And Theo is hurting my feelings with how he treats Akk but hopefully he stops that :((

Akk is my absolute favorite which is very impressive considering Gawin is in this show (ig it's different tho

Surprisingly sympathized with Phupha since he's got an alcoholic mother and doesn't have enough money for her treatment since she gambled it all away. That's an extremely stressful situation. He's still creepy and tried to use Theo which isn't okay.

Natee is very pretty and always looks sleepy which is funny (Akk also looks sleepy a lot) he's got that cool guy narcoleptic type vibe

I love Akk, Egg, and Im. They're such a cute little family.

The reveal wasn't that great and raised a lot of questions but the YouTube comments did help me a little bc yeah, I was wondering why Theo was so pressed about the flyers Akk was posting everywhere and he did keep repeating that he honestly just wanted to know Why the others were lying

My biggest hang up is just the fact that Akk literally always gave him attention so he didn't really have any reason to do the stunt in the first place? If his reason was just wanting Akk's attention? He had it???

And Akk was SO clearly in love with him, so Theo having been aware that he himself was in love with him too is a little like ?? U wasted yalls time then baby??? But I guess he just wasn't sure and didn't want to assume?

That's fair, I'm also dumb 😭 I would know someone is in love with me bc they're extremely blatant but I would sike myself out and need them to actually say it

I love Saifa so much and I knew he wasn't using Theo from the start. I'm so happy they didn't make my boy have any bad. He's clean as a whistle. No sins on this boy, he's perfect. I love him so so much.

I'm not mad at the twist at all honestly, just a teensy bit disappointed lmao but like I said, I just had to think about it. It's not clear cut and at first it's stupid but actually thinking about how people are it makes more sense.

I hope nothing too whack happens 😭😭 Akk is being a little non communicative rn which is frustrating but hopefully it stops before escalating. It could go either way and I hope it's foe the better.

Natee grew on me. He's just kind of got bitch energy and I love that. His buddy who's in love with him? Feel bad for the guy. And the fact that when the boy said he was leaving the club Natee stopped drawing made it seem like he lost his inspiration then :(

I was wondering where the conflict would come in but knew it was coming since they were happy. I understand both perspectives, but Akk is right that it's not his place to say anything.

And then Theo immediately embracing his guy who has been a looming uncertainty this whole time? I hope it's fully a miscommunication and that Sun isn't his ex or anything but :/

I do see now why Akk had a pained expression when Theo was talking about his parents being in love the whole situation sucks and I wish Theo could've had Akk to be a steady place to lean on in the middle of this, but that wouldn't be enough ~drama~ 🙄😭

Nah this shit made me cry. It's so damn frustrating that Akk thinks HE'S the undeserving one. And I know his sister was being caring but her words didn't help because they only reinforced his doubts. But honestly? It's not his job to fix this mess. He's already put forth all the work, and Theo has been ungrateful and self centered. He never truly acknowledged everything that Akk did for him and instead was so damn entitled. He complained so much about things that Akk had been there the whole time trying to fix. It seriously hurts SO much because Akk is TOO selfless. He's so respectful and caring and generous and kind, so Theo took all that for granted. It's like Theo wanted Akk to beg him to stay, but Akk is so damn respectful that of course he wouldn't. He puts Theo first in every facet and what has Theo done for him? I know relationships aren't a transaction and you don't do something just to get something but ALSO relationships go both ways and one person shouldn't be making all the sacrifices. If Theo actually leaves and they do a bullshit timeskip, I'm done. I'd rather see Akk happy on his own than to see them together if Theo refuses to stop being selfish. I don't want some magic fix where he shows up and is like "haha missed you" and doesn't own up to all his shit but I feel like that's inevitable and I'm just going to be disappointed yet again by a show that was my favorite until they pull the most frustrating shit at the last episode.

I'm quite frankly pissed. WHY THE FUCK did Akk have to take responsibility for this shit? No I'm beyond pissed dude. Theo should've had some eye opening moment and ran his ass to Akk and apologized for taking him for granted. Akk has done all the work in this relationship. He deserves so much fucking better, and the fact that instead of apologizing for making him misunderstand Theo just says he's dumb? No, dude. He had every right to assume what he did. He shouldn't have been the one to mend this. Another goddamn selfish character who stays selfish til the end whilst their partner does everything and STILL ends up apologizing. Akk is the healthiest love interest but damn it this is not a healthy relationship and I've honestly not felt more betrayed.

This shit is exactly why I don't call shows my favorite until the last episode, bc they're almost guaranteed to screw things up. And it sucks because I love this show so much. Seriously, easily my top 3 If they hadn't ruined Theo.

Yet another "sure the ending is happy, but I certainly am not." Fuck dude. This shit was easily in my top favorites but they fucked it so hard

I STILL love it though. It had too many good moments for me to fully hate it. The plot twist was dumb though and I was being forgiving because I thought they'd do better but no they made me mad.

I will never shut up about Akk and how much I love him. I've been his #1 supporter and fan since day 1 and I'll die with that title.

my half-comprehensible thoughts on Enchanté the series bc it is currently 4 am and I can't sleep and am therefore incredibly bored. I finished the series a week ago, so idk if I'll remember all of it.

The Characters: I liked the protagonists alright, their dynamic was nice and believable, Akk's sisters and Sun were lovely side characters and I could not keep from grinning whenever Saifah appeared, predictably so. He is a sweetheart.

The parents were fairly interesting and I wish we would have had more insight into their relationship and why they decided to split up.

The rest of the characters was just creeps (Phupha did deserve a better plot line/redemption arc tho).

The Plot: Ok?? I'm not gonna be able to give anything but a vague critique of this because I couldn't write a better plot if you forced me too, but here's my sauce.

1. The ending felt rushed and sudden, but oh well.

2. It's been a while since I've had a glimpse of the Little Prince, but I think the themes it includes could have been worked more (seemlessly) into the story.

2.1 There's this whole thing about growing up making you lose sight of the 'truth', and, by extension, your own truth - that which is close to your heart. We got to see a bit of that through Theo having to learn to let go of his romantic ideals that he had projected onto his parents from childhood vs Akk having to learn not to deny himself his feelings. Theo got lost in the surreal hope of reuniting his parents by the end and had to have Akk ground him in reality. Akk was struggling with other people's expectations of Theo and their relationship and needed to be reminded (in part by Sun) that he was good enough and that's it.

They had been best friends when they were kids and both of them had put just as much care into their relationship since Theo moved back to Thailand. "One only sees well with the heart", as written by Saint-Exupéry, is often understood to mean: Seeing through the unbiased, unrestricted eyes of a child is to truly know others, as well as yourself. Our protagonists needed that reminder to get the fuck back on track Where am I going with this

2.2 Akk was also a very obvious reflection of the fox in the Little Prince. From what i gather, that was to drive home the fact that relationships take mutual effort, time and patience.

It would have been interesting to see these themes portrayed through other characters and types of relationships other than romantic.

Final Rating: All in all, it brought me about the same kind of joy that a mildly interesting movie about the road to Canossa in history class would bring me (it wasn't not intriguing). I also gotta give it to the writers, I did have a laughing fit for a whole day at some point because the dialogue was so full of corn

Edit: This post came off kinda negative which I didn't intend for it to be (I know I don't need to justify my subjective view of this, but it feels shitty to leave this post like this). I wouldn't recommend Enchanté to friends or sth and it did have potential to be better, but I don't hate the series and it did have some incredibly sweet moments. I'm just happy if the cast and crew had fun doing it.

hey so remember this fun little ditty i wrote a while back--

If Happy Little Bluebirds Fly

--that was actually the pitch of @adreamingofguns but i latched my nasty little teeth into it and ran off into the landfill sunset slobbering and flailing my head around???

i do that a lot actually huh. give me an inch and i'll take the Titanic

anyway so i don't remember exactly how much of the pitch was Nick's doing but the point is that i grabbed it and ran lmfao and thus, If Happy Little Bluebirds Fly

i actually re-read my own fics a lot, especially when i'm stuck. i've always been REALLY PLEASED and PROUD of how i wrote If Happy Little Bluebirds Fly so i'll go back to that and try to siphon The Juice from it. well, i was reading it recently (and i tweaked a name in the third chapter for fun Suggestion - can u find it?) and i was ho-humming at the end of the fic.

i'm not really sure if readers understood entirely what happened at the end there, and i never did anything with it - and honestly, i'd never planned to. .. not really, at least. the idea was there. i thought maybe it'd be a fun thing to pursue sometime after GOOMT but hEHh,

i'm like. well. what IF, indeed. and ofc this is another AU that'll probably never see the light of day outside my vivid hallucinating while trying to go to sleep or staring into the wild pale yonder (very disco of me tbh), BUT LET'S WORKSHOP IT TOGETHER EH

anyway uh if you haven't read the fic that's chill idk if anyone cares about the ~spoiler~ but SHRUG

RUNDOWN of the fic (in 3 easy chapters i pwommy) is that Harry and James initially meet waaay back in the day when James takes Mary to go see Mary's favorite pianist in concert. (that pianist? Jodi Mason. really makes u think) James and Harry literally run into each other during intermission, small chat, hi Mary! then they go back in. after the show, while James and Mary are waiting for the elevator, the Masons show up to ruin lives and the snowball keeps rolling down the hill.

James and Harry meet in SH and together, bring Heather home. they raise her together, though their relationship is extremely tumultuous, rly kinda toxic lmao, really just. riddled. with Bruh and love and it's disgusting. they love each other and their daughter but there is A Lot that's suggested. ends with them celebrating their anniversary (which is, coincidentally, Heather's birthday!!!)

but i gave a peek into Mary and James's relationship (and touched Jodi and Harry's relationship on the nose) and that was a lot of fun :3

SO! that's that one pls read and enjoy it it's def a favorite of mine lmao

spoiler: heather gets kidnapped at the end of the fic when everyone's just trying to have a nice fucking day god can't anyone mind their business around here

naturally the au takes place when James and Harry figure this out. 'Silent Hill Is On Its Bullshit' Senses Tingling.

now, quick note is that neither of them were IN Silent Hill the first time for very long at all. their time there overlapped and it was and wasn't meant to be intentional by the town. i don't think it knew what to do with the timing. it was great but also hhhhhhhh in its "eyes" but anyway, point is, James's got a Leave ending with Harry and baby Heather, he didn't get any conduit nonsense going on, he was probably in the town upwards of a week and a shake before he met up with Harry.

Harry, on the other hand, was probably in SH for a little over a week before he met up with James. James hadn't even really.. "finished" his arc..? which is important when they realize what the fuck just happened and oh god DAMMIT they gotta go to SH to get their fucking daughter back

i'll admit, this AU is certainly Dark. like, a&s is dark, but if you take into account what this one entails, oh buddy MAN is this one gonna be a rough fucking ride LOL like look

these two love each other to their depths but their relationship was havoc at times. i alluded to it, but there was a suicide attempt that Heather unfortunately got to see, and was probably dug up in therapy at some point. they argued and Heather remembers James not coming home some nights, or weeks, or months, and yeah, there was cheating from both James and Harry, they did NOT learn how to cope lmfao and did NOT process their wives' deaths very well, ESPECIALLY YOU, JAMES--

-- since he didn't get to have that closure like at the end of SH2. his and Harry's plots got mashed together, and Harry's took all importance with the Alessa/Order problem. as you can imagine, James has a LOT of unfinished business in SH.

they DID, though, see a lot of each others' SH and baggage, which is super important ofc to how they lived out their lives, and their lives together as a family and as fathers. stuff to keep in mind too, there are A LOT of unresolved problems between the two of them and a LOT of things repressed; and it's really just sad how much Heather actually remembers from her childhood that she'd've preferred remained stomped doooown down in the ground

Harry's Jeep is still crashed and fuckin pwnt in SH, and James's Pontiac is still at the observatory. they actually try to go in through South Vale i think to the observatory but ARE BLOCKED (!!!!!) on the road

a trucker

unfortunate business really :( this guy, this poor trucker's got his trailer in the middle of the road, taking up both lanes, looks like there was a minor accident here :( he apologizes to them and says that he's trying to get a hold of someone to help him with this, awful sorry. he redirects them instead: they can head in via Central Silent Hill, or they can go in via Shepherd's Glen. ur choice.

the trucker's a really sweet dude this Travis Grady, what a darling, obviously from Alabama, he's good humored and all but man. man there's something about him that's just. hrm.

well they decide to try to get in through Central Silent Hill though it means they'd have to go AAAALLL he way around the lake again (fuckin Toluca Lake) and ignore that Shepherd's Glen is closer, but agree that Travis had Weird Vibes and that the blockage seemed intentional which Great. Love That. Super Duper.

I ALSO DON'T THINK CYBIL WAS THERE THE FIRST TIME AROUND

ACTUALLY,

i think she's going to show up THIS time instead. which DOES mean older lady cop Cybil B) ur so welcome for that

SHE'S probably in SH herself looking for someone, or following a lead. not sure. something tells me it has to do with Alex? they might pass each other on the drive, so they see/pass Cybil's car heading in and take the exit towards Shepherd's Glen and she saw them on passing ofc.

things are TENSE the entire time bc i think that the discovery of Heather's kidnapping really was just a Bad Feeling and so they got up from the piano and went to her room and 404 DAUGHTER NOT FOUND

her phone was still on the bed tho, and the call was still active. Harry goes to pick it up and listen to the line and ask who the fuck's there and just hears someone sigh on the other end and hang up

(later, Harry's like, that situation was very Liam Neeson in Taken wasn't it lmfao wish i had the monologue memorized and James is like yeah now that you mention it. holy fuck lmaooo)

after that, Heather's phone bricks/locks itself up good and tight and useless to them. while they're really starting to panic, a radio turns on!

they only hear it bc it's otherwise dead silent (ha) while they're up in Heather's room and just BARELY hear it so they'd have to go downstairs and into the garage and naturally it's really not THAT loud but w/e, spookiness

bc ALSO there's the possibility of having it play continuously for the drive and even Travis comments on it like lol you guys sure like that song huh and they look TIRED lmfao; harry's like yeah sure but this yellow brick road sucks, i prefer elton john's and travis is like LOL yeah not much of a musicals person myself or elton john for that matter but i vibe, better than copperhead road i suppose.....

James........... squints at that wonders why it sounds familiar, it pings a bell for Harry too but he has no idea, but anyway)

Shakespeare Route, Part 3!

Part 3 - “A Cinderella Story: Vampire Bro Edition”

- Rewind back to Will entering the freaky deaky cathedral

- Shakes: "Honey, I'm hoooome!"

Vlad: "Hey babe, I was moongazing."

Shakes: "Oh yeah cool, I like crescent moons"

Vlad: "Yeah well, I'm not moon-ist and love all kinds of moons. Wtf you doin' here"

Shakes: "oh boi do I have a story for you"

- Spongebob narrator: Five Minutes Later

- Vlad: "My my my, a human girl in the Comte's place"

Shakes: "Yeah well, don't get too excited"

- Vlad asks Will about a play he's working on and Will pulls it from his jacket. Vlad's his editor I guess and says it's coming along well.

- Shakes: "My one true goal in life is to make a good drama"

Vlad: "Yeah same. Thanks for joining me on my quest and leaving that mansion"

Shakes: "It really was fate that time we met in town"

- Vlad stares out the window some more with a smile

Vlad: "The night out there is beautiful, while the world rots around me. This is why I need you."

Shakes: "Yeah, so...gonna leave you to your thing, bye"

Vlad looks out the window with lonely eyes now

- cut to a few days later at the mansion

- MC is taking her job at the mansion seriously by helping Sebastian and reminisces over some of the reasons why her bros decided to come back as vamps. She thinks on if she would ever be able to compare to all these great and famous people (and maybe become a vamp too??) while she sets the table

- MC: "I better keep those thoughts to myself"

Vincent, walking in: "What was that?"

MC: "Nothing!"

- Theo and Arthur walk in

Theo: "You're setting the fork and knife wrong"

Arthur: "She's a foreign lady, cut her some slack. Also MC, I am happy to teach you some table manners eyyy."

MC: "Yeah no"

- Vincent: "Really tho, what were you saying earlier?"

MC: "Nothing!"

Vincent, with a dazzling smile: "I'm always here to talk if you need it"

MC: Oh my god, an actual angel "Well, compared to you all, I'm…"

- Arthur and Theo say some things in response that don't seem to be that nice?? (Arthur: flirty, Theo: calls her a dog and how he has no time for her) and MC thinks back on how kind her bros are anyway.

- MC is pouring them their drinks and Vincent asks her to go on a date with him

- MC: "A date!?"

Vincent: "Ya, a date"

Theo: "I'm gonna be sick"

Arthur: "How you gonna end that date eyyyy"

Theo: "Shut the fuck up. Vincent, don't you dare do that with the dog"

Vincent: "Do what? ...oh….OH GOD NO, IT'S JUST THAT I HAVE TWO TICKETS TO A PLAY"

- Guess what play? Romeo and Juliette because of course it is.

- MC: "A Shakespeare play?"

Vincent: "Ya, but he goes by a pen name rn"

MC: Damn, he's still a playwright? Guess you stick with what you know. "That's a fuckin' fancy locale, you sure you wanna invite a girl like me?"

Vincent: "Treat yo'self girl"

MC: This fucking angel "I'm so hype"

Vincent: "Same. And we'll say hi to Will if we see him"

Theo: "Well, I'm using my brotherly powers to veto that decision"

MC: "Why??"

Theo: "I don't like Shakespeare"

Arthur: "Gotta agree on that one"

- MC goes on a thought tangent and asks why it is that Will is the only one who lives away from the mansion anyway. Theo is not helpful in the slightest and Arthur says all he knows is that Shakespeare was revived first by Comte and that he was gone by the time he himself arrived.

- MC then asks why they dislike him if they don't really know him.

Arthur: "He knows too much. Once upon a time, when I met him at a banquet, he gave me a gin and tonic, which I like, but I'd never had that in front of him before. How tf did he know that??"

Theo and MC: "......"

MC: "wtf that's it?"

- Arthur gets all smug and asks MC if Shakes is just putting on a good person mask in front of her. Theo says he'll pick up her remains after being eaten. Vincent gets after Theo

- Theo: "Well, enjoy the play anyway"

- MC: "Ohwait I need a fancy dress. Dammit where am I gonna get one of those"

Fairy Godmother Comte: "Did you call?"

- Comte wraps an arm around MC.

Comte: "Let's go on a shopping spree. Who cares about work, we need to get you a fancy dress post haste. LET'S GOOOOO!!"

Theo: "Good luck with him"

Arthur: "He's always like this lol"

Vincent: "Seeya laterz"

- cut to that evening with MC in a carriage with Vincent

- Vincent: "That dress is pretty on you"

MC: "Thanks! The Comte is like some kind of shopaholic freak, it was near impossible to get him to stop"

Vincent: "Sounds like you both had a good time"

- The carriage comes to a stop in front of a fancy fancy building covered in lights

- Vincent: "We're here"

Station 19 6x13

Ugh. I hate how this show is getting a little better. Enough to make me excited every Thursday.

I hope they wrap up this major camping in the season finale. It's getting annoying. He always has a speech ready to save the day, and I don't care, honestly.

The video that Dixon made was so dumb. Twitter would drag that edit to hell and back.

I knew Eli and Travis was happening. I think everybody knew, they had more chemistry than Andy and Eli.

Vic is a better person than me because I would have broken up with Theo right there in that office. What's wrong with him? Beckett is out. They are investigating his neighborhood. What else does he want?

Carina, Ben, and Miranda were so funny. This is what I mean when I say they need to relax a bit. Yes, the subject was hard, but they were a great comedic trio.

Carina's "Oh" when Ben said Ben Deluca had me dying.

I love that Ben and Miranda didn't give Carina a speech about love or marriage, she just realized by herself that she needs to give Maya another chance and she is ready.

And those scenes between Maya and Carina had me twirling my hair and kicking my feet.

This was so soft and probably scary for her. Carina probably didn't sleep that night looking at her wife. It was so easy to let her in.

I like the space between them because it means Maya is respecting Carina's space. But she could have taken off her watch, the ponytail, her bell? She even slept with her shirt tucked in and probably her boots on too. I know she is in bodyguard mode but c'mon. Not even a blanket?

Then Carina got her defences up and told Maya: thank you, bye. One thing about Carina she is going to walk away from Maya.

But I'm very confused about how time worked in this episode.

Maya was on shift in the last episode, then she left to find Carina at work. So she probably took the day off and wait for Carina to get off shift and that's why she was still in uniform in the morning.

But in the morning, Carina was off shift, and Maya had work again. Ben took a day off in this episode, so it was another day?

I know this show doesn't pay too much attention to this but logistics is what I do for a living so.

Carina is stronger than me cause if she smiles at me like that I'd fold so fast.

"I want you to win me back slowly."

"Carina Deluca, would you go on a date with me?"

This is sick. I love them so much. The way they look at each other 🥺.

I don't know what kind of sacrifice they did in the writer's room but thank you. They are fixing the mess they did last season.

The last scene with Dixon had me thinking about a lot of things:

1. Those pictures are a way to show Maya's growth and to close the plot. Because they totally forgot that Maya was right about them, and Sullivan treated her like she was insane. I don't think Maya is going back.

2. We have never seen Maya driving. I didn't even know she had a car. I've always thought she uses her bike to go to work.

3. I don't care what they show us Maya has a Jeep. But when they go out they take Carina's car, even tho Maya is a better driver.

4. A lot of people still want a false negative for a pregnancy test she took 300 years ago. No, I know doctors are the worst patients, and Carina has been through a lot this season, but she would have noticed that something different with her body. They fix the relationship, and then they could try for a baby again.

5. Bring Back Maya's little backpack. I don't like this new bag.

Hi River! It's time for Random Asks: Editing Edition!

What part of your editing are you most proud of?

What part of the editing process do you enjoy the most?

tbh this was hard for me to answer bc i honestly don't really like where i'm at wrt my editing skills. but i think i have the most fun with the liquify tool! and... well, i guess i'm proud of myself for actually starting to edit this year since i've never actually done it before. plus, while i don't think my edits are really anything special, i do know that they're better now than they were at the start of the year.

like starting from the old stuff to newer things i've done...

i started with just playing with the colors and overlays, maybe using the spot healing brush and blurring things a bit. then i started learning how to make poses for echthroi posts:

then i was like okay... let me close photoshop and see what happens in procreate when idk what anything does—while also still making poses (like these are all my poses weeeee):

(that cigarette one is so sad </3 because i love those poses and they took me forever to make! the post is really colorful and pretty tbh! the problem tho is that theo looks ALL WRONG!! and i didn't know wtf i was doing with that luminosity brush lmao. i'd love to redo it someday with mattodore's updated sims and everything).

and then i went back to just using photoshop. and in sept. i wanted to experiment with blood and lighting/shadows for theo's birthday post so i did that. i think the coloring is... whatever. and it's pretty simple (or it looks that way… really this took me hours and hours of work. the original image was huge) bc ik i wasn't doing so hot at the time... but i'm really proud of the lighting and i like the poses i made for it. also the little bit of writing i did in the caption was nice. i'm a lot better at writing than editing, clearly:

and then in the last three months i think the cas edits i've been doing have been superrr gorgeous. i learned a lot from theo's birthday post and have actually been utilizing light and shadows since then:

and then the last edit i did just a few days ago... it's easily my favorite theo pic i have now :) i didn't think i'd even share this on here... like i was just going to post it to pillowfort so i only intended to fix some clipping and smooth out the edges of theo's knees, but i ended up doing waaaay more than that. i like the way i colored it a lot. the face highlights, the blur, the slight vignette, and the chromatic aberration are pretty too. i just really like it... plus theo is beyond gorgeous as always:

like... honestly my editing really isn't anything special. um... but i do think it's better now than it was before. and i like what i've done recently (like these last two months specifically lmao)! i'm nowhere near where i'd like to be, but at least mattodore are so pretty it kind of carries any edit i make for them now lmaooo
