alex wasnt pretending to catfish colby she could have just been herself if she wanted to reach out to him. he found her attractive lol. also the real catfish came out and spoke out about it. alex was on curious cat (I know embarrassing) fighting his fans and he kept telling her to block them and she wouldn’t so he muted her. then she started calling him names and her friends starting @ing and shading the boys & eventually they just fell out. they did want to be her friend tho cus even brennen was liking her pics and jake was commenting on em’ too. but then they all realized she cannot handle internet hate (which is understandable) and lashes out and we all know colby doesn’t like putting shit out there he’s private on most things. so it was not a mesh.

honestly, i don't know the full story. i only really know sam's side, the girl that sent all the info to colby about the catfish. i was following her at the time and i only know what she was kinda telling us.

the reason why a lot of ppl think that alex was actually the catfish was bc sam and alex started talking and while things were good at first, randomly she got pissy at sam for some reason. i don't quite remember now why or how. and at the time, brocksbaby's other account, alexs.dead or something like that, was still active and up. sam swore up and down that someone she followed got alex to click a link or something and got her ip address and was somehow able to get brocksbaby other account and saw that their ip addresses were the same.

all of that does sound kinda crazy, but once sam felt like that was the case, alex really went in on her. i remember clicking on a live they were both talking in it and tension was hella off. like, regardless of if sam lied or was told a lie and believed it, you don't curse out a teenager while you're a full adult. alex is my age, if not slightly older so like her behavior towards fans that weren't the nicest to her... not cool.

i don't think she deserved hate, and i don't think she really deserved recognition for getting her photos used in a catfish. i remember she literally jumped from 1000 to like 10k overnight. it was hella weird.

nonetheless, i do remember a lot of the bs that happened on twitter bc of her and her new found fandom. literally one of her fans started sharing a list of reasons to unstan colby, and it literally had a full on lie on there about him and something he said that i won't repeat bc it's inappropriate.

the last i heard of her was when snc, jake, and corey moved into the new trap house (rip) and posted that photo of their asses and she literally said "that's so gross, you have young fans" while she promoted her onlyfans... so, kettle meet pot lol

i feel bad for colby for that time period, bc you could just tell he was upset he gave her a platform when she wasn't the nicest person. like, she had a right to be upset at the random fans shitting on her, but you can't act like that if you really want to be successful on the internet.
