I have this one friend, the meeting with whom is always like the sun shining all over my life. Being with her even for a little while, even in a hurry, always lifts me up and brings me joy, puts a huge smile on my face and leaves me positively energized for long after. (And from what I know - it's the same way for her.)

This is an extremely true statement. I blame the film very much for not making Horpyna a tall, strong Slavic sex goddess. I further blame Sienkiewicz for giving Horpyna remarkably reprehensible dialogue to cockblock us. Because c’mon, that setup was so good.

The time when Hurrem feigns an illness to utilise Bohun’s nursing skills to the fullest

... she already has a positive experience with Bohun being extra tender if she is badly injured.

... it certainly helped her to avoid trouble afer she got into another big fight with Horpyna. (Hurrem won)

... and even got herself a get well present

(even though it was originally Hurrem who initiated the fight)

... so she decides to give it a try once again!

Little does she know that Bohun (based on his previous episodes of nursing Hurrem back to health) is confident enough to teach first aid lessons to his Cossack buddies.

1.) check the damsel’s breathing with the most expensive hand mirror you can get your little thieving hands on (preferably gold, but silver will do the job too if necessary)

2.) check pupil action (Hurrem is NOT impressed)

Abort mission! I repeat, abort mission!!

3.) idk what he tried to do here...

...  but if anything, it seems like a dental check up :DDDDD

... I can Hurrem thinking: “I will fucking kill you when this is over” :DDDDDD

4.) try fainting spells, those always work in novels

... not even fainting spells work!

Bohun sends his pupils away. Nothing more to see here except a breathtakingly beautiful Ruthenian lady who is unconscious... and Bohun certainly doesn’t want them to see that!

Being left alone in the room together, it is a sign for Hurrem to start her show.

... Bohun is really worried now! Bringing up the dead? Hurrem must be a goner!

5.) It’s time for motivational speeches, at least Bohun is good at those :DDD They work on his buddies!

... Hurrem acting like a damsel in distress as foreplay.

Bohun is utterly confused now. Hurrem doesn’t seems like herself usual at all.

6.) All of his methods have failed. Hurrem’s body is burning up. But Bohun certainly knows what to do with a woman in heat!

Bring her fever down with a damp cloth!!! Sweetie, no!!!

... like... Bohun’s hands are really delicate. Even feminine. There is no arguing there, that is a fact. Also he loves colorful fabrics, so let’s just pretend it is his hands, ok?

... but Hurrem’s feverish delusions aren’t getting any better.

7.) just adding another wet cloth to bring down the heat, just to make sure... 

8.) Bohun has left to fetch help. 

Although Horpyna hates Hurrem as much as Hurrem hates Horpyna, she is the only one that can cure her back to health.

Fully convinced that Bohun has already left, Hurrem is smiling to herself thinking “What a perfect idiot I got myself there”.

One of the reasons I don't want to have children is because I'll never be able to settle on one name, and even if I did, the child would get either an old no longer used name like Lavrin/Severyn/Panteleymon/ Horpyna/Orysia/ Yukhyma or would end up with a fandom name. Like Wanda. Or Thorin.
