audfhuuhhhhhh i have playlist for the chapters and the plot... not the characters bc it always feels like only one-dimension can be captured or represented.

idk here are the ‘themes’ that come to mind (based on musical texture and/or lyrical content) while i’m waiting for cases to run

Main Shuangfeng Characters:

Zhu Yunxun: Nephew - New Year’s Morning (the balance of desolation and hope, and lyrics that follow a trail of thought but don’t make complete sense)

Zhou Xuzhong: ling tosite sigure - Perfake Perfect (edgy edgelord, technically brilliant but acquired taste mathrock/post-hardcore, with the Psycho-Pass reference for his preternatural perception)

Lang Erzhi: Chopin - Étude Op. 25, No. 12 (Ocean) (mysterious and entrancing melody, a force of nature with their own agenda. keeping the LEZ mystique up)

Hou Yuguang: Jay Chou - Nunchucks/shuang jie gun/雙截棍 (Patrick Brasca Remix) tongue-in-cheek about his martial prowess, and how well behaved he tries to be as an elder

Canon Kids (only the ones i’ve done povs on, just to keep the others spicy fresh):

Wei Wuxian: Keane - Sprialling (playful and bombastic tune, but the lyrics aren’t so happy... like WWX starting off on top of the world and he’s slowly destroyed to his first death)

Lan Wangji: HEIZE, Han Sooji - Round and Round (gives me the same breathless, painful romanticism that I imagine how feeling LWJ’s feelings at 100% would feel)
