"What's it doing?" "I don't know! I can't see through objects." "So have a look? You're taller than me." "Fine." "What even is it?" "Well. It's sort of spindly, and green and– eep!" "What? What?" "I think it saw me." "Well, what is it?" "I. Don't. Know! It just had these red eyes and–" «Hey, kid. This ain't no place for youse. Now beat it, before I beat you!»

Burning red eyes, cutting through the night. A grating voice that she shouldn't understand. Dark fluid on its hands and a- She gasps awake, eyes flying wide and fingers curling around the revolver's stock under the pillow. She lies still, schooling her breathing, and her heartbeat. Light from outside the room filters in, casting stripes through the blinds onto her bedsheets. She doesn't hear the movements of another, doesn't feel a second presence inside her room. She rolls over, gun still gripped in sweaty palm and looks to the door half-expectant of a jiggling handle. Last time she had that dream someone broke into her room, moments after those glowing red eyes woke her up.

She stares at it for the longest time. The house is silent; it's late enough the timbers have finished settling. Outside an alley-cat screeches as a glass bottle tumbles, and somebody curses. There is the low thump-thump in her bones of a TV turned up too loud somewhere in the tenement. She allows herself a moment to relax, feeling foolish, when the telephone down the hall rings. It is a harsh, jarring sound, the bells in the receiver clanging and echoing in the corridor. She hears the shuff-shuff of slippered feet, as Mrs Higgins goes to answer it. Her elderly landlady mumbles, listens, mumbles again. The shuffle of the landlady's feet comes down the corridor, and Elo jumps at the knock on the door. "Elo," Mrs Higgins calls through the door, "they need you at the Station. There's been a murder." Her head roils – organising, cataloguing, questioning already – but she finds herself nodding. "Thank you, Mrs Higgins," she calls. She swears Mrs Higgins must be psychic – there's no way her landlady could have known she was already awake. No, corrects a little voice in her brain, she just knows you. There is a grunt of confirmation and the slippers shuff-shuff-shuff away. Elo puts the revolver down in the bed next to her, carefully easing her hand from the stock, and takes a breath. She must be still, and calm. She cannot have her head roiling like this. They do not call her in the middle of the night for just any old thing these days. Captain Fugit only has them call her if they are desperate, if it is too dangerous, or if it's down-right weird. She's hoping for danger, but in her gut, she suspects it'll be weird. She had the dream again; she's starting to believe those red eyes are a warning. Except that's preposterous, she thinks as she dresses. A dream cannot be taken as a warning, a dream cannot know there is danger coming, a dream cannot– She stops herself. It's preposterous. That's all there is to it.

The Sun & Moon blueprint being given to you at the end of the quest being phrased as "modelled after Teshin's blades but weighted for warframe use" gets so many more Feelings in it when you're neck deep in your own OC nonsense

Like chronologically when North was gifted that (however i will canonise blueprints idk) they had no warframe to use these altered versions of the blades with and no intention of ever changing that. But they held onto the ability to forge those blades in this world anyway, if out of nothing else then fondness for the weapons and respect toward Teshin himself

They don't think about it much like they don't think about Duviri itself much until they first return there

And afterwards, now that they Remember, now that the blades they'd won their freedom with being recreated for warframe use Mean Something, it becomes Important. Because it's no longer "here's the blades that had escorted you to safety, but made for use with an empty husk of a war machine," it's "here's the blades that had escorted you to safety, made for familiar hands that aren't yours"

It's after they start bringing Higgins to Duviri, after it becomes a bit easier, after the two of them start battling through the Undercroft together. It's then that North pulls out the gifted knowledge of how to forge the twin blades again with the intention to hand their friend that piece of the story, to teach him how to wield them

Tomo: Has several different fursonas because she keeps forgetting that she made them.

Scribbles: Gets commissioned to draw other people's fursonas. Rolling in gems, though no one is sure how they're spending that money (if at all). No one except Tomo knows what their own sona is (it's a pigeon).

Crim: Big fluffy cat sona. Commissions lots of art of it from Scribbles.

Pinkerton: Not a furry, full stop. Despite this, most of his friends are furries.

Swipp: Supportive dad. Brings Tripp to conventions all across Sornieth.

Tripp: Will swear up and down that she's NOT a furry, she DOESN'T have a sona, and it's DEFINITELY NOT a crow.

Pipp: A little confused by the concept, but not unsupportive.

Roundsey: Ferret sona. Hosts many local furmeets. Has helped organize at least one major convention.

Baldwin: Has had to explain to many dragons that no, he cannot turn them into their sona and back, the science just isn't that advanced yet.

Galore: No fursona, but doesn't mind hearing about yours.

Fiona: I mean, just look at her.

Arlo: Not a furry, but Tripp drew him as a mole once and he appreciates the thought behind it.

Avery: Chicken sona! But still deciding on which breed of chicken it'd be.

Glass & Gloss: Learned about fursonas recently; will happily show off their bearded vulture sona to anyone who's interested.

Sage: No fursona, but if she had to choose one it'd be a lynx or similar.

Arvelle: Her family crest includes a Warcat Protector so it's a personal symbol to her, but she's not sure whether that makes her a furry.

Higgins: No fursona, but he does have a clownsona.

Marva: Would be a sparkle dog. Or maybe a sparkle rat?

Susie: Has no fursona, but will help you brainstorm one for yourself over a cup of tea and some ginger snaps.

Patches: Has an albatross sona thanks to Susie.

Joxar: Will hook you up with fursuit supplies at wholesale prices.

FR headcanons that I have but aren't supported by any on-site text

Food is measured as "One unit = 100 lbs"

Only User dragons tend to have any genes. "Canonical" dragons have Basics or EXTREMELY common genes that are feesibly "realistic" to see on animals, like stripes, spotting, etc

Dragons tend not to use weapons to fight and they're more showpieces if they have swords or spears. If a dragon is fighting, its ALL teeth and claws and magic. Duels are weapons-based though

SOME dragons out there use Fae Nests in the same way people use cliff swallow nests to make soup

Dragons eating other dragons isn't too unheard of, and ritualistic cannibalism is popular with Nature, Plague, Light, and Ice Clans

Users are dragons of some sort, but we don't know what kind. We've had a few NPCs refer to us as dragons in their text (Higgins, Dustcarve Dig, etc). Personally I believe it's the same breed that used to be on the "T for Teen" rating at the bottom of the site bar

The oceans of Sornieth aren't strictly salt water per-ce, but are highly mineralized depending on where you are, and some lower sections of the sea are salty, or even briny sub-oceans when you go deep enough

Light Flight's territory just REEKS right now. Not in the same, stale, mineral-laced way that the Scarred Wasteland does (The exposed flesh and dead biomaterial there is dried and doesn't produce much of a scent unless you're close to a pustule or wound, so it's more like dry rot), but Luminax is wet rot. Juicy. Leaking. Has a cloyingly sweet smell that sours as it hits your throat.

Luminax WILL eventually die, but not by means of the Light Flight's efforts. Rather, the sun in the Light Flight territory will get stronger and stronger, heating up Luminax's body, the gas builds up, insides twisted shut from all the movement of what is otherwise a decaying body... Pop.

Every species of dragon has a spot that you scratch and it "Starts their motor". Banescales, its under their horn where their ear would be. Gaolers, its their tummies. Coatls, under their chin. Wildclaws, behind their horns on either side of their crest.

Deities have scratching spots as well. But they're a well-kept secret (Stormcatcher's is right behind his ears. Rubbing there will release tension from a headache he's had because he's been clenching his jaw all day and cause him to just uncoil from all the relieved tension. Beware of static)
