least favourite block?

hmm. this is a tough one.

i don’t like the bedrock texture, for one, i feel like it’s far too noisy but it’s kinda too classic to change. same with glowstone.

i’ve also never been big on the end blocks? endstone and endstone brick feel kinda too green-tinted to use in a lot of situations. purpur is kinda just a strange color too, i feel like it’s very difficult to make look good with other blocks, cause it’s such a strange color.

glazed terracottas are hard to work with, too, though some people can Make It Work and i’m forever in awe.

i also. i love crimson wood, i think it’s a very unique block and has so much potential. but it’s So hard to use in most situations. crimson and acacia both, really. crimson is in the same shade range as spruce, and with dark oak it looks too dark. and acacia is very vibrant, so unless you’re making a build that’s already very colorful (or has copper! acacia looks great with copper) it tends to be out of place. it’s also a fairly cool-toned orange which is also kinda difficult to work with. i like both of these blocks but they certainly are a challenge.

amethyst is pretty but there’s nothing that that’s same specific shade of purple, and there’s very few blocks that go well with it too i find. it’s also a very busy texture which— it works for that block but it’s hard to work with.

kinda- i find i don’t have a least favorite, i just have a collection of blocks in my mind that’re very hard to work with. at the end of the day, i feel like that’s true with most blocks. there’s situations for nearly every block, some are just harder to find a good place for than others.

actually. i lied. the old texture yellow wool and netherrack are my least favorite. terrible blocks.
