The statue of the Witcher had been in the family gardens since Julian's great grandfather.
Julian liked to come and sit with it when he escaped his family, his parents cutting eyes and siblings cruel whispers. The statue sat with it's arms open, just right for Julian to climb into, and whisper his secrets and doubts and dreams to the only person that wouldn't shove him away.
He always brushed off the leaves and scrubbed off the growing moss, leaving the white stone to glow in the light. And the Witcher had such sad, deep eyes, and such a beautiful mouth, that sometimes Julian wondered what it would be like to kiss it.
