“sunghoon! wait up!” i yelled out to sunghoon who was only running further and further away. it was the end of the school day and we had just finished practice, sunghoon had to wait longer in fromt of my dance room because i was released a little later than him.

“sung! hoon! my legs hurt!” i yelled out and slowed down in my steps, taking in deep breaths and drinking from my iced lemon tea only to be stopped by the one person i hate the most, kim gyuri.

“aw, how sad your brother left you. of cours ehe would, why would he want to be seen around with someone like you? ugly and.. ugly.” gyuri chuckled with her group of friends as i rolled my eyes and ignored her comment.

“what do you want, gyuri.”

“oh nothing… just, you know how embarrassing it is to keep chasing after someone who doesn’t even like you? you know.. a certain person named lee heeseung? he told everyone that you left love letters and chocolates for him in his locker. everyone laughed.” gyuri laughed again, my heart dropped to the pit of my stomach, how does he know? i never left a note saying that i did it.. now i look like a stalker.

“oh and. back off lee heeseung and his friends. this is your first and final warning.” she took my iced lemon tea bottle and poured it on my head, the wet and cold substance dripping down my whole body as my mouth was left agape.

“yn? yn!” i heard sunghoon’s voice from afar as his footsteps got nearer, “what did you do to yn?”

“oh nothing… yn? did i do anything? i was just about to hand her some tissues. silly yn, poured tea all over herself—“

“save it. c’mon yn, let’s go.”

“and that was out last topic for the day! you did such a great job learning today, pretty girl. i’m proud of you!” jay smiles sweetly at me as he helps me sort out my items in my bag. “thank you for teaching me, jay! i had a great time learning with you, see you next session?” he nods and packs his items too.

“are you going home alone?” jay asks as we walk out of the library together, he was close to my shoulder, almost zero space between us as we walk side by side. “ah no.. heeseung’s walking back with me. he always waits for me.” i said and moved a little further away to create some space between us.

“alright then, i’ll see you in class tomorrow! goodbye ynnie, get home safely.” jay waved at me and i waved back as i sat on the swing in school. weird that heeseung wasn’t here, he would usually wait here or he would at least place his bag here to let me know he was there. a few minutes went past and it was getting cold, not long later it started pouring and i was drenched in rainwater.

ring ring… ring ring…

heeseung? i picked up the call.

“heeseung?”

“ynnie, where are you?”

“i was at the swing then i moved to the cafeteria, where are you?”

“i was getting my motor bike, it started raining so we can’t walk home today, i’m sorry princess.”

“hey it’s fine.. i’ll come up to you right now, i’ll see you at the gates?”

“i’ll be right here princess.”

i hung up the phone as blush tinted my cheeks, i could never get tired of him calling me princess. something about him just calling me princess makes my heart flutter and have a ride or a themepark in my heart. once i saw heeseung from afar, his arms were wide open and i ran towards him, almost slipping at the end but he caught me and we both hugged each other tightly.

“careful there, princess. wouldn’t want you to miss your performance because of an injury.” heeseung giggled as he lifted me off the floor and hugged me even tighter, “we haven’t seen each other for a day yet you’re acting like we haven’t met in years.” i giggled and blushed as he placed a soft peck on my forehead, “still, you’ll love me either way. now c’mon, let’s get you home before hoon yells at me hm?”

as soon as he started his bike, he reminded me, “hold on tight princess,” taking my arms and wrapping his around his body, which i obviously complied to and hugged his back the whole ride home.

the ride home was very smoothing, with rain, with wind, with heeseung. i like heeseung, the way he acts towards me, they way he helps me with everything, the way he would do anything for me, the way he’s so caring, friendly, loving and kind. he was really the perfect guy, all in one package if you ask me.

“anddd we have arrived!” heeseung said, parking his bike and taking his helmet off, “are you asleep, princess?” i quickly closed my eyes, pretending to sleep as he giggled, “how cute.”

he was very cautious in moving so he wouldn’t ‘wake’ me up, he took off my helmet and carried me bridal style into the house. “we’re home, sunghoon!” heeseung yelled as i felt him sitting down, maybe on the couch?

“heeseung! where’s yn— aw she’s asleep?” “yeah.. and she’s soaking wet from the rain. i’ll put her in her room so she won’t wet the couch, i don’t wanna trouble you, hoon.”

not a minute later, i was picked up again and placed on a soft, fluffy, bouncy matress. a blanket was put over the lower half of my body as my hair was oushed off my face, “sleep well my little princess. i love you,”

“oh my god? park yn, is that you?” i heard from afar as hyewon and sunoo ran towards me, engulfing me into a huge hug as we all cried on each other’s shoulders, “gosh, i missed you both so much.”

from us crying, we gathered the attention of nearby students who kept gasping and gossiping, “yn’s back?” they all ran off when hyewon shot them a look, getting scared of the female who looked like she was shooting lasers from her eyes.

“well well well, the infamous yn is back?” a very familiar voice ringed in my ears as i turned to look around, “what do you want, gyuri?” she took a step closer to me and pushed my shoulder with her hand, “even if you look better now, don’t forget what you looked like a month ago, rat. and stay away from my boyfriend.”

i scoffed, “your boyfriend..? he’s long gone when you cheated on him, kim gyuri. stop being so fucking delusional. you should’ve probably thought twice before cheating on him.”

“well at least i didn’t try to be a slut and hang out with him?” gyuri laughed with her minions, was i being one? i only hung out with heeseung as a friend, even if i do like him, i knew my boundaries.

“who are you to call my girlfriend a slut?” a deep voice appeared from behind me as an arm wrapped around my shoulder, causing me to tense up. i looked up to his face and almost instantly melted, he was smiling down at me and he called me his girlfriend?

“girlfriend? i’m sorry what? you downgraded from me to.. her?! and she deserves to be called a slut. i miss you heeseung, i‘m sorry i—“

“ah ah ah… downgraded? i, lee heeseung, downgraded? in your fucking dreams, kim gyuri. maybe you should really look at yourself in the mirror before commenting on other people’s appearances. and excuse you, but my park yn is nowhere near the definition of the word ‘slut’.. if there’s anyoen who deserves to be called one, it’s you.” heeseung snapped and interlocked our fingers surprisingly, walking off to his locker wigh sunoo and hyewon following behind.

“girlfriend..? my park yn..? you’re getting me red lee heeseung.” i joked, not really, my cheeks were really pink.

“you are red hm? and i’m sorry for calling you that, i just can’t bare hearing her call you names.”

“no what… don’t be sorry, in fact, thank you for stepping in and helping me confront her… i was going to do it myself until she called me that word.” i reached up to his neck to wrap my arms around it and hugged him lightly only for him to hug me back harder and lifted me off the ground.

“well, let me send you to class princess, hyewon and sunoo. i’m sure jungwon and sunghoon will be glad to have you back for lunch later on.”

heeseung’s pov.

“won, you search the lower levels. i’ll search level five and the rooftop.” i said as jungwon nodded and we immediately parted ways. i took my phone out and turned on my flashlight, praying as i hoped to find yn and not some ghosts haunting our school.

yn please.. don’t pull this and run off. with my flashlight still turned on, i tried to call yn. the calls were finally going through, i opened my ears bigger in hopes of hearing her stupid ringtone she has. once i finished searching the whole of level five, i sighed in defeat as i went to the rooftop. before i opened the rooftop door, i heard mumbling at the other side. i retreated and called jungwon, meeting him before we went up together.

“i feel like yn’s there. but someone’s with her.” i explained as jungwon nodded and on the count of three, we burst open the door. my eyes widened as i saw gyuri with yn. yn was held as hostage, tied to a chair and a bandana tied to her mouth, her cheeks were tear stained as gyuri was holding a pocket knife to her face.

“kim gyuri.” was all that left my mouth in a breath, taking in the sight as gyuri laughed and came closer to us, “look who we have here? the heros?” gyuri laughed as i pushed jungwon behind me.

“i don’t know what the fuck is wrong with you.. but stop messing around kim gyuri!” i yelled as she just laughed, “oh heeseung… sweet heeseung… i’m just claiming what’s mine. she messed with my boyfriend.”

“kim gyuri. we broke up almost a month ago, let it fucking go, you sick psycho!?! you cheated on me with doyoung, now that you have him, leave my friends and i alone.” i said sternly as my eyes glanced ro yn who was crying, her tears dampening the bandana wrapped around her face.

“you just don’t get it, do you? oh ynnie, let’s show heeseung a show shall we?” gyuri walks back to yn with the pocket knife in her hand, yn crying in pain as gyuri slowly rubs the knife over he exposed thigh.

“gyuri stop! i’ll… i’ll give you what you want. just please, stop harrassing and attacking my friends. stop going after yn, leave yn out of this.” i yelled, jungwon hitting my back slightly and whispered, “are you sure about this..?”

“leave yn out of this. don’t hurt her, please.” i said in defeat, tears pooling at the brim of my eyes as i dropped to my knees.

“perfect. see you tomorrow then, heeseung.”

yn’s pov.

“i’m fine now sunghoon, you don’t have to follow me everywhere.” i chuckled at sunghoon’s enthusiasm of followimg me to performing arts class to get ready for our big day. “i will, and i have to! i promised someone and i promised myself to take care of you very carefully.” sunghoon said, wrapping an arm around my shoulder as we laughed.

“that bitch should be lucky she hasn’t bumped into me yet. if she did, i would’ve thrown her head like a basketball.” sunghoon threatened as i slapped his chest jokingly, stepping into the dance room as we did our little handshake, “i’ll be there at your performance in two hours, i’ll be front row.” sunghoon said as he hugs me tightly, “can’t wait to see you.”

“ynnie! i was worried sick about you!” hyewon yelled and greets me with a hug as soon as she and sunoo entere dthe dance room, “i’m fine hye, ouch that hurts…” i winced when she accidentally rubbed her knee over my wound.

“what the fuck..? she did this to you?!” hyewon yelled in anger, sunoo’s eyebrows furrowing in anger as he quickly takes his medkit out of his bag and replaces my old bandage. as soon as gyuri walked into class with heeseung sending her off, sunoo and i weren’t quick enough to hold her back.

“you little bitch! how fucking dare you hurt my friend!” hyewon yelled and jumped on her back causimg her to fall forwards, pulling on her hair and punching her back.

i pushed sunoo off my leg lightly and ran to hyewon, accidentally bumping into heeseung. i didn’t make eye contact as i pulled hyewon off and winced when gyuri hit my wound, “that’s.. ouch! that’s enough hyewon!” i yelled as i pulled hyewon off, glancing at heeseung who was staring at my wound.

“you’re lucky yn’s here, i would’ve ripped every body part and served you to dogs as a feast. you little dirty whore.” hyewon argued as gyuri got up, hitting heeseung’s arm when he wasn’t paying attention to her.

time skip !

it was finally performance time. all the students from other schools who were competing had come all the way to decelis for the big competition, loozafest. while getting my hair and makeup done, sunghoon and heeseung walked in the room along with jungwon and jay.

“hey pretty girl,” jay complimented me as i smiled and waved at them, heeseung and jungwon had went to gyuri while jay and sunghoon stayed beside me. “you all set for the competition, little girl?” sunghoon asked as he passed me my favourite drink, white mocha.

“i’m pretty scared, we had rehearsals earlier on and i honestly don’t think we stand a chance…” i sighed, but jay patted my back, “hey, you’re the park yn. you can do anythimg you want and you’d still win. that’s how much power you have ynnie.” jay motivated me as i smiled and soon they left to get their seats taken, i sighed as i fixed my makeup, if i wanted to win i should at least look prettier.

“you look pretty even with makeup.” a familiar voice ringed in my ears as i looked up and saw heeseung smiling down at me with a rose in his hand, “this is for you. good luck for your performance pretty princess.” he smiled and inserted the rose behind my ear, turning away to leave but i stood up and pulled on his hand, turning him around and giving him a quick hug.

“thanks for yesterday, hee. i’m sorry for causing you all this, now you have to date her all over again and you have to deal with her and if i had done what you said yesterday and went home then you wouldn’t have to deal with this again. i’m sorry hee, i really—“ i got cut off as heeseung grabbed my chin and pulled it towards his face, soon enough our lips touching each other and i melted in the kiss.

as soon as we pulled away, tears brimmed at my eyes, “don’t cry pretty princess. i know how to deal with it, don’t apologise. good luck for your performance hm? you can do it, i know you can. i’ll be cheering for you, princess.”
