Months ago, I bought a $1 hibiscus plant that looked almost dead. I trimmed and took care of her. She healed beautifully over the months. Yesterday, she finally bloomed. I did not expect her to be this beautiful.

I've never seen this type of Hibiscus before, so I did a little research. These are all the common names I found for her: Rose Mallow, Marsh Mallow, Hibiscus, Hardy Hibiscus, and Luna Rose. She's so beautiful 😭❤!!!

Before I moved to Oregon, I never knew that hibiscus could survive this far north. Yet here is my Rose of Sharon in all her summery glory.

I keep a little journal for gardening and take notes on what is and isn't blooming, and I press flowers into it. The hardy hibiscus doesn't fit.

Alright plantblr, google has failed me so maybe some smart person here can tell me what I need to know about my hibiscus because the sites I have tried have given me one of three opinions:
1. Hardy hibiscus varieties will die back in the winter but regrow in the spring! (Which is great, and mine is a hardy variety but...its inside. I live in an apartment. I have no yard.)
2. There is Literally Only One Variety you should attempt to grow inside and I am only going to talk about That One. (Which...which mine is not so.)
3. You can grow ANY variety inside! Here's how! (But just talks about general care and doesn't even mention my variety sooo... *shrugs*)
Look. All I want to know is if mine is Dead and I can throw it away (it was pretty sickly looking when I got it to begin with so that's not unlikely...it was free because of that) or if I should keep watering it all winter in the hopes it will grow back. Its got about two lil leaves left on it and the stems are turning brown. I just want to know if this how its supposed to look while hibernating in winter or if this isn't supposed to happen if I can still save it. I don't know much about plants, okay? Please be nice. (My poinsettia has survived for five years by the sheer force of its own will; all I do is water it once a week, lol.)
That's it. That's all I want to know. Thank you for your time. (Its a Rose Mallow 'Luna White' if that makes any difference.)

What East Looks like:
Tumblr media
By: Ariel Nora/Bruna Nora
Her description, very tanned sun-kissed skin, sometimes looks like she's been out working hard on something or is perfectly clean and polished. Very fluid in her height, and weight sometimes skinny sometimes heavier but always well toned. Long curly hair typically black but sometimes a bronzen color, sometimes done up in a hair wrap/scarf or down. Frizzy lots of the time with flowers or sprigs of plants in it. Typically in a long/medium skirt or dress, occasionally armor is occupied with the outfit. Her ears are commonly the ears of a deer. A sweet but commanding energy very caring, and patient, very quick to respond through clairaudience. Her eyes are a golden ring that fades into a molten copper and brown color. Her lips are darker than her skin tone and she has a thicker top lip. Her nose and ears were pierced but the jewelry and placement sometimes changed, she had a larger nose and her eyes squint a little, a very warm energy.

Saturday is ruled by Saturn, the planet of commitment and responsibility. With structure comes success, and it's possible to move towards out of reach achievements, or even attain them. It requires diligent work, which East appreciates. Saturdays can be for resting, but also for a practical approach. Having the free time you need, but also the ability to work on. It needs a discipline, but also a deeper understanding of oneself. Depending on your individual needs if a Saturday is a day of rest, then take that time. Organizing, preparing for the week to come, clearing your to-do list as well.
