Gunkanjima or Battleship island is called because of the shape of its silhouette is from discarded unfinished battleship TOSA. The official island name is HASHIMA. I know a dark side story behind its island. However buildings on the island are collapsing due to natural disasters. I do not know how long will it last. It is worth checking out.

When I have lunch with Martin Scorsese. My brief conversation would be.. Tigerwon- Martin, what did you think about the movie Battleship Island? Martin- Well... I have been watching Korean movies over 20+ years and with each movie I learn something new. For this movie, some of the scenes were captivating. Tigerwon-Really? Which one? Martin- Remember the scene where the metal bridge fell down and the Korean people KNEW it was the only way to leave the island? They knew on the other side there was a ship waiting for them. Tigerwon-oh yes! I remember. Martin- when that metal bridge collapsed and fell, I didn't think that it was possible to use a simple fabric, tie it to the metal and pull that metal up to the wall so people can cross over for their freedom. They were Determined. Tigerwon- Indeed! This movie was unique and the story was interesting. It showed the Non-Hollywood version of WW2. Most of the young generation are forgetting and not realizing how much the Soldiers died for their country. You know Martin, I was shocked to find out actor #JavierBardem as Raoul Silva from the movie Skyfall was 🎥 in Gunkanjima (Battleship Island) #Hashimaisland someone mentioned -there's something spooky about that island. Martin-oh yea? Tigerwon-Thank Goodness for subtitles. I would not get through this movie without it! Martin- Me too 😂🤣 Martin- By the way I enjoyed the 360 VR video that you created. Very clever...
