There's something about combat mechanics accidentally triggering in social situations that's just cute.

Necromancers going into death shroud when startled

Mesmers accidentally making clones who mime chores they're thinking about doing

Elementalists shifting attunement with the flow of a conversation

Thieves giving deadeye's mark with a glower when they look at their unwashed leathers

Guardians causing other library patrons to gain aegis when their book gets to a particularly gripping point

Revenants mixing up which voice is the imaginary one and accidentally ignoring close friends when they make comments while out and about

Engineers' tool belt utilities all firing when they need to dig real deep into a pocket

Warriors reducing a kitchen to shrapnel when they accidentally full counter after messing up a soufle for the 9th time

Rangers accidentally taming other people's children and trying to gently break the news they won't be going adventuring together

Just finished a pacifist run on my new character Kealan! I managed to get him all the way to level 80 without killing a single creature or enemy in game and I’m quite proud of myself! I’m also very attached to him now.

I was able to get 35% of the central map complete, and although I’m definitely soft-locked out of some important parts needed to 100% complete the central map, I kinda wanna see how much I can get done on Kealan without killing anything lol. I might also try the expansion maps!

Thief Commander feels just a little bit more insane that the rest of the professions.

The rest of the professions are described in a way that justifies their abilities through years of study and practice.

Thief kinda feels like they heard a bunch of unfounded rumors and then spent every 3rd Tuesday trying to make it happen between part time jobs.

Imagine this: Thief goes to ascalon, beats up a bunch of ghosts with martial weapons, eats bits of the ghosts (consume plasma - stolen skill) or holds skulls aloft to brag about. What part of that sounds like someone with an education?!

With their terrible health pool, not only did they not learn to die. They also didn't learn how to stay healthy.
