The Aussie Super Tourers are harder to find images for, just because the later series were called "Super Touring V8", but here is a flyer from a DVD series on the Aussie Super Touring cars. The GTLW Mod Team, creators of the hugely popular Power & Glory mod for GTR2, has announced an upcoming update for their mod.So I went ahead and tried making two minimalist liveries for it. For some reason, I was feeling like making some livery along the lines of 80s technology. After downloading templates for these cars, I went for the opportunity to try to make skins for this car. This is part of the read me included with the mod: Prototypes Mod SCC 1999-2007 for GTR2 v2. Someone converted cars from 'Volvo: The Game' and made a GTR2 mod out of it. They are taken from a couple of skins packs (founded googling around the web in search of a 2012 mod.) with no readme files, nor infos about the author/s, so in this case it's really impossible for me to ask for permission or even to credits the original authors: since I don't want to steal anything to anyone (or that someone could think so), please understand my pure intentions and apologize me, if someone will recognize his own texture/s or parts of them I will be glad to give all the right credits asap. all the unknown (to me!) authors of the car liveries I used as base (2012 Season) (except for AON Ford Focus made by PetraGTC, Honda Civic made by me starting from PetraGTC unfinished one, Fredy Barth's and Alex MacDowall's cars skins made by me from scratch). Denis Vorobjov for Lada Priora 2009 model used in the 2013 part of this mod. guys from R-Modding FB page and specially Plett for making us Honda Civic skins and Lada Priora skins for the 2013 season. zolibphc and Roland Szabo for making the 2013 skinpack used in 2013 part of this mod. SIMBIN for giving us a lot of unresolved bugs (LOL), and a lot of cars and tracks too. Also for his nice personality and his patience. Many thanks for his precious help and work. I feel tempted to give it another go but the truma is too much.Īnyway, Project Cars came from part of the team that made GTR2 but some parts of their games were a complete joke. And getting a penalty for going off track avoid AI shenanigans and then get a cut track penalty despite I gained nothing from that (at least CodeJockies got that right). And I don't like the fact of the AI tapping my rear left quarter and then somehow I get front wing damage, which I'm not sure if that did anything at all. Then I look at videos of other people in slightly different F1 cars and they have traction where I had very little :/. I never had that issue with other games, makes me worry about trying anything new from the same dev. don't get me started on Codemasters, last game I took seriously from them was F1 2011.īy the way I tried a Ferrari F1 2013 around Spa in AC, loaded in game Spa set up before heading out, why does this car act fine for the first 4 laps and then spins on the 5th? I tried adjusting toe on rear wheels and car did feel better but same thing keeps happening, its not the rear wing because the car never did spin in high speed areas. okay I like RACE 07 but it is not like GTR2, too much AI control over the car when I first had it (and other stuff I don't have time to explain). Potential buyer here, looking for a modern game that is worth the typical $60 that most sim games keep demanding, but I try one game out, then another, only to be disappointed by their efforts (Codemasters, Project Cars 1, Assetto Corsa, RACE 07).

GTR 2 is also cracking, although the EVO content carries a lot more with it, you can probably download the mods for GTR2 anyway. rFactor is great for it's adaptability and online play. it may be that I'm used to rFactor too much now and the very user friendly layout, so I don't get on with the GTR Evo layout, it feels like it's screen after screen. I do prefer the older layout of GTR2 than the new one. just to have the mods i like in one place. Even if it's playing the raceX conversion of race. I've owned Race, GTR2, rFactor, and now GTR Evo which has race 07 with it, and although I play GTR evo a bit I much prefer playing rFactor. A lot of effort goes into these mods and the majority are very good with people making a game that others will like, not to make money. I don't feel that any I have are acrcady in any way, the opposite infact I feel they are very good, being made by gamers for gamers. Theres no date set so don't hold your breath lol. I got told not to buy rFactor because rF2 was due to come out soon.

I feel kinda bad not posting as much D2 stuff this season but between this season lasting anther 6 months, the Bungie debacle, and just generally being burnt out after playing for 10 years I'm taking my sweet sweet time and pursuing other hobbies atm.
I'll get bit by the Destiny bug again but rn I'm having a lot of fun playing old racing games like GT4 and GTR2. I might post more about it another time. I've been sinking a lot of what little free money and time I have into more toys for the sim rig.
I need more economical hobbies.

The vote is almost dead even between #585 Asetek SimSport by Volante Racing and #404 GlamRacing. And close for third was #188 Teleforeningen and #777 DSR-GadgetHuset.dk

1st #585 Asetek SimSport by Volante Racing (34%)
Currently listed as being driven by Niels Hoogeveen, Maciej Kaspryzk, Elliso Netto, Alexander Secher, and Arda Ercan. Sadly the team hasn't listed any more detailed information on the drivers.

Henrik Hoier
Started sim racing in late 2006 when a friend of his introduced him to GTR2. He then got into driving in the DGTL league in 2007. His first GTR24H event was in spring 2008 at Le Mans. He has been driving for several teams at GTR24H over the years including Grenaa bilhus racing, SimTech Motorsport and Innotech (today ID Simsport). Henrik has been a staple at every GTR24H since 2008, and never missed a year, if you count that Henrik in 2009 was a pit crew, not a driver.
Henrik has been driving gtr2, Rfactor 2, Iracing and Race07
In 2013 Henrik won the GTE class at the GTR24H event together with Innotech.
In 2018 Henrik won the Virtuel endurance championship LM-GT division 3 with Alexander van der Woude and SimTech Motorsport.
Henrik has not done any real-life racing, he doesn't even have a driving license.
Henrik loves sim racing and likes to set goals for himself, so he gets better and faster, and his goal in sim racing is someday maybe winning another EEWC event.
Calum Wilson
Age 30 (born 1992) - Nationality British
Calum has been playing racing games since F1 2002 came out on PC! However, despite playing with the Codemasters F1 games, never decided to invest in sim racing until 2017.
Calum picked up a quick play seat challenge, a cheap Ferrari wheel off eBay and was hooked and has been entering casual sim leagues since whilst having long and hard battles with team-mate Lee Russell over the course of the last 3 years! (The rig has also been heavily updated since then too!)
After doing some mini-endurance leagues with World Sim Sports in 2019 and finishing runner-up with 2 wins and 5 podiums in 8 races, Calum is excited to take endurance racing a little more seriously.
Favourite car in sim-racing is the Porsche 911 RSR GTE and in real life, it would probably be his Mini JCW. Dream car is a Datsun 240z.
Jakub Kowalski
Also known as Kuba Kubica, is very passionate about racing simulations. He began with Geoff Grammonds Grand Prix 2 in 1996 with a keyboard, his first racing wheel was a Logitech Force EX, which he used for about 3 years playing F1 Games and Need For Speed 3,4 on PC until ca. 2000. Kuba then did not have a PC until 2010 and played Console racing games during this period. After playing Codemasters F1 2010 on Xbox, he decided to buy a PC, a wheel the Logitech G27, which he still uses today, the Pedals were upgraded to Fanatec V3 in 2017.
Lee Russell
Age 41 - Nationality British. An experienced and successful sim racer who has been racing for the best part of 15 years.
A multiple-race winner in various championships and a rfactor stalwart since the early days. Lee has the opinion that to be the best, you must learn to drive anything fast no matter how difficult it may be.
Lee has entered many endurance series including the GTR24H 24hr of Spa 2020 together with Henrik, which was GlamRacing's first race.
Jef Vannijlen
Age 43 - Nationality Belgium, also known as Jeeve79, is very passionate about video games in general since he was a child and especially simulator games like race sims and combat flight sims like DCS World.
He has always loved racing games from the very first time he saw Pole Position on the Commodore 64 when he was 6 years old. From Geoff Grammonds Grand Prix and Stunt Car Racer on the AMIGA and then into PC gaming, when that became a thing, he was all over it. Sportscars GT Grand Prix Legends EA F1 - Simbin GT Legends Nascar 2003 Rfactor1 Live For Speed - Assetto Corsa...
He ran Iracing for 2 years but when he went back to Rfactor2, he realized how good it feels on the limit and how connected you are with the car.
He bought an MS Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 joystick in 1998 and a Logitech G25 in 2006 and still uses these on a daily basis. According to him, it just won't break and he has no excuses to buy anything else. The leather on his G25 rim has worn away in places but got it patched up with bicycle handlebar tape.
Jef has been racing leagues since Nascar 2003 but really got hooked into it thanks to Rfactor1.
