Honestly the more I think about it the more I really think the sun and moon dew mushroom rlly should've been an amorphophallus instead
- extremely rare and take an immense amount of expertise and tedious care and special conditions to bloom (to the point where one blooming is an incredibly proud event for gardens and often publicized to draw visitors nationwide)
- on average take 5-7 years, sometimes even 10 for some varieties, to reach maturity
- human sized
- called the "corpse flower" (because it smells like rotting flesh)
- weird penis shape
- variety called amorphophallus yaoi

I didn’t plant anything in my garden this year, but I got a wild tangle of sunflowers anyway—lucky me!

Hello and Good day,
First update, the Apple cider vinegar filled already. I've got to drain and sterilize my jar and try again. It went straight from clear to moldy. :(
Next~ a garden update :)
The cabbage is mostly gone. But the carrots are starting to come in nicely. Since the cabbage is lost I may do a small section of radish and something else to fill in.
The eggplants (closer) and the cucumbers (further)
Broccoli (closer), Nasturtium (further)
The pumpkin, sunflowers and beans
Another little close up of the sunflowers and beans, there's flowers on the beans now too! :D
The sweet potato blooms appear to be heading out very quickly. Just a very small handful of them appeared and it looks like only on the one vine too.
And one of the moringa tree sprouts has started kicking off :)
That's it for today :)

Planted 3 rows of red, yellow, white onions and garlic at the beginning of March. We call these Easter onions, because they're supposed to grow enough by Easter so you can eat them with dyed eggs, but as always, I planted them a little late.

[image id: various produce, mostly tomatoes, spread over a grainy countertop. The produce is mostly grouped by variety. Only the lemon cucumbers are in a bowl. End image id]
Haven’t posted any harvest photos yet this year because I don’t usually arrange them very nicely, but I put a bit more effort into this one from a few days ago. My favorite tomato of all time is the freaky yellow pear that looks like four grown together.
Varieties pictured (top to bottom, left to right)
Tomatoes- Black Beauty, Yellow Pear, Black Cherry, Pork Chop, German Johnson, Sungold
Beans- unknown variety of long bean
Eggplant- Millionaire, Japanese (by the bowl)
Cucumber- Armenian, Lemon (bowl)
Summer Squash- Zephyr, Zucchini

A couple more baby cucumbers I’m really hoping fill out before it gets too cold! I will say this little rainy cold snap we’ve had has done great things for my peas!

this is a real rough year for the garden bc my curse is so bad and Nate's heat intolerance makes it hard for him to help but if I can at least get cukes & legumes to grow happily I will be content

Eventually, we all have a plant phase. No one escapes this phase. Like childhood. Or being really into Glee.

The cucumber wall is very modest this year, but we still get a handful of cucumbers every day.
