Godfather Death

Godfather Death is a peculiar Grimm humanoid that had been present for as long as Ozma has reincarnated. He is the Candle Bearer, the Hourglass, and the Final Second. He can see the lifespan of humans that are alive in his Candle Hall, where thousands of spiritual candles are. Candles that are tall mean a human's lifespan is long, while a short candle indicates extinguishing for the particular human.

While Dullahan and The Witch are menacing, Godfather Death has no means to fight anybody. Thus making him more approachable. He's soft-spoken and welcoming to humans, faunus, and Grimm. While he resides in Vale, he's known throughout the Grimmholds and landmarks that he is the head honcho of all Grimm that do not follow Salem. He believes that, if the Gods want nothing to do with their world, then the Gods shouldn't be allowed into human, faunus, and Grimm affairs since they've abandoned them.

His eyes illuminate, yet he's actually blind. (It's mostly a way to also make him like a candle.)

The Godfather believes that all things have a purpose, including the deaths of humans and Grimm. He finds it to be the natural way of life. Salem, to his beliefs, goes against the naturality of Remnant, knowing she wants to throw away their world. He doesn't want to lose the world they already have because of the Gods' decision to make her immortal. In that case, this means he's more willing to help Team RWBY stop Salem, but in exchange, the Team needs to cooperate with his Grimm.

Grimms do have candles, but Salem's candle has been frozen in time.

Didn't really feel well today. Stayed in bed, played a little Fallout 4. Chatted about BioWare, swordplay and Starfinder with @scientistsalarian (who I really hope doesn't mind yet another mention). Tried to keep chat with my buddies [Runvardr] and [grimmholder] but they just weren't into it today. Which is fine given I've mostly slept... ugh.
