the sudden uptick in bugs didn't seem to bother eilonwy, possibly the only person completely unperturbed by their sudden increase in volume, bravery, and in some cases, size. why would they? they had always been her friends, and she to them, perhaps why the gardens seemed to be one of the few places throughout greywood where their numbers and behaviors were much more contained. at first, it had been just one easy call by someone who worked at the animal shelter and knew the fae's special little gift. it seemed from then to spiral into emails, texts, voice mail from people eilonwy had never heard of begging her to help them out. she agreed - not to ease their comfort, but to stop her beloved insects from suffering harm. more than once had she got into verbal altercations with pest control over specific species of beetles. "so, what are you dealing with here?" the dark haired woman asked her current client, unable to recall a name - they all seemed to blur together over the past day or two. "is it the brown-belted bumblebees the size of tennis balls? because they really shouldn't be out so early in the season but, you know global warming apparently doesn't exist - half these species shouldn't be around till well into spring," she rambled on. "sorry. just - point me in the direction of the problem,"

Tyler was enjoying having the afternoon off. The weather wasn't too bad, but the grey clouds having over head was telling Tyler another story. Tyler pulled his jacket on before he grabbed Nugget's leash. "Nugget." Tyler called out, as he did up his jacket. It didn't take long for Tyler to hear the clicking of nails of the hard wooden floor as nugget came bounding over to him. "Come on Goof, lets go for a walk before the sky decides to open up."
Once at the dog park, Tyler unclipped Nugget's collar and produced a ball from his pocket. "Alright. Go and get it." Tyler said as he tossed the ball across the park. Tyler rolled his shoulders back, his skin prickly a little as if someone was watching him. Tyler glanced around a little, but couldn't spot anyone right away. Tyler shook his head, as he looked back to Nugget, frowning as he couldn't spot his dog . "Nugget." Tyler called out as he headed in the direction as he saw his dog go, frowning as he kept his eyes peeled, his skin still prickling. Tyler frowned as he spotted his dog, ball in his mouth next too someone Tyler couldn't quite make out. "Nugget. Wrong human." Tyler called shaking his head as he made his way over to the pair. "Sorry, Nugget like to befriend everyone."

location: elevator in a building (idk which one you can choose or it's unspecific)
"If this elevator doesn't move, I swear to god." Amelia said to no one in particular. The elevator in question hadn't moved in about ten minutes and she was starting to panic. Sure pacing around was probably not a good idea but she needed to move around and try to hide how she didn't do well in tight spaces. "Seriously how the hell are you so fucking calm?" Okay maybe she wasn't hiding it as much as she thought she was, her swearing only coming out in times of distress.

Location: supermarket
Maia normally wasn't in towns long enough to need to go grocery shopping, usually relying on vending machines or take out. But as it was Maia was trying to make an effort in Greywood and decided she needed to actually sustain herself with groceries. Only one problem though. Maia hated grocery shopping. There were always too many choices and in general it was too boring for her liking. Which was why she liked to play little games with herself when she could. The most fun to her was shopping cart bowling, and at the end of her trip she tried to get a perfect score by pushing her cart into the return when it gave an unexpected veer to the right hitting a car. “Oh shit!” Maia said before looking around and finding someone who watched the whole thing. “Listen I’ll give you $20 if you don’t snitch.” She offered before a sudden thought came to mind. “Or I’ll buy you lunch if that was your car.”

"Huh.."
Llewellyn's hand braced on a tree trunk and he stood with his head bowed for several moments, trying to shake off the strange sense of fogginess and light-headedness. And his stomach churned... It was the type of sensation that occurred with a sudden unexpected drop. A mist eased throughout the surrounding area and there was a certain smell that couldn't be placed- earthy, for sure, but also weirdly enough, something more pungent. Why did his limbs all feel so heavy and achy? Why was he so tired? The man couldn't really recall what he'd been doing moments before, or where he was even at...
And he certainly had no clue that a faerie portal had just shaved ten years off his life. Ten years taken away with family and friends.
Tumblr media
At some point, the tall gentleman began to walk. He wasn't sure how long or what direction, but somehow, Llew managed to wander within the town limits. "Welcome to Greywood.." he murmured to himself with a faintly bemused expression across features newly aged a decade. There was something familiar about this place, too, but that brain fog persisted. He couldn't shake that something was off and yet, there didn't seem to be anything out of place, either. It all looked normal enough. "Excuse me," Llewellyn politely reached for a passerby to stop them, "do you have any water?" He offered an apologetic and uncertain smile. "I'm sorry, I just- I could really use some water.." Boy, could he! Felt like he hadn't had anything to drink in days.

To: Anyone/Open.
Location: Black Magic Bakery.
Tumblr media
Under the silvery light of the early morning, Jasper had found himself drawn to the comforting glow of the bakery, the scent of the freshly warmed goods practically clawing at his empty stomach. He'd been standing around for some time, looking at what was for sale as well as watching other customers and making note of what they'd purchased and where they'd then gone to sit. When he found who he thought was his best option, he nervously approached them, offering up a sheepish smile. "Morning. Would you mind if I joined you while I'm waiting?" he asked, voice threatening to shake as he extended a long finger to gently prod at the back of one of the chairs that lay empty, unwilling to actually take a seat without expressed permission.

location: the park
You’d think after a time in Greywood, Talia would have been used to shapeshifting. Tragically, if you had any kind of faith, you would be thinking wrong. It was meant to be a harmless prank, turning into a bird and flying around with a hilarious banner, something to brighten everyone's day. In actuality, Talia discovered the hard way that flying was insanely difficult. She flew right smack into a tree, knocked her head really hard, and now, seven hours later, she was finally able to turn back into a human. Fucking amazing!
“What a day,” she mumbled to herself, pulling on the dress she’d hidden in the park earlier. At least she wasn’t humiliated and naked, just humiliated. When she walked passed someone, barefoot, she smiled awkwardly. “On a scale of one to ten, and be honest, how ridiculous do I look right now?” Talia was covered in mud, she had a wicked bruise on her forehead, and no shoes. “I promise it is definitely not what you think.”

Location: The alley outside the bar
Status: Open
Eris puffed on his cigarette, inhaling the smoke and rubbing at his fingers. The cold didn't bother him, but smoking to keep warm had become something of a habit. It was what other humans did, and he liked to blend in as well as he could. There was safety in numbers, or so he figured. It'd worked well for him so far.
The alley had been deserted until someone came up out of the bar and stood next to him. Immediately, his heart rate skyrocketed, although he refused to show it on his face or in his posture. He still looked like just someone who was relaxing and smoking. He did, however, glance at the person who'd come.
"It's cold as hell out here, huh," he lied.

Charlie let out a breath, as he felt his right foot hit the dirt. His music blearing in his ears as he ran along the track. The clouds over head, turned grey and loomed big and imposing. But Charlie didn't care, the rain didn't matter. He just needed to get out of his head, he need to try and find something to hold onto. He rounded the bend, glance up a little to make he didn't crash into anyone, before he shifted his eyes back towards the tree line.
Charlie took another breath as he slowed his steps a little. He wasn't too sure where he was, but it didn't matter. He opened his bottle and took a drink as he came to full stop. Charlie glanced up when he noticed movement. Frowning Charlie face the person, pulling her earbud out of his right ear. "I'm sorry, I caught none of that." Charlie said as he shifted his footing. "What were you saying?"

"Just leave me the fuck alone okay?" Avery asks, truning slowly to them, "I'm fine," he lies, "It's nothing, just fucking--go,okay?"

It had been rather slow at The Range during his shift, so Henry decided to sit in the back just a little longer with his lunch. If he didn't have to go out there and deal with people, why not just take his time and eat while on the clock, right? However, just as he was putting his feet up on the table, he heard the bell ring above the door, which made him fall backwards out of the chair, sandwich in his hand as he scrambled to the front of the store. "Hey! Welcome to The Range, I uhhh.... It was a slow day, if you heard anything in the back, no you didn't..." He snorted out, moving to practically shove the rest of his food into his mouth, trying to chew and swallow as quick as he could. He already knew his boss would be laughing at him the second he looked back at the tapes. "Is there anything specific you're looking for? Anything I can help with?"

Where: Harley's Gourmet Burgers
When: Late Friday Evening
Of all the jobs she had worked over the years, waitressing kept her the busiest. It was mentally and physically draining on it's best day and the money wasn't all that great though it did allow her to rent an apartment for the first time in years. But that's kind of what she needed at this point in her life. Just have something to focus on. Plus it was the only real interaction she had with other people these days.
This particular night they were slammed but it had abruptly cut off around 8:00 in the evening. Something about the weekend meant people had better places to be she guessed. It had slowed down so much that most of the other staff had left already and she was the only one left in the front. It was almost a relief when someone walked in to cut the boredom.
She hopped off the counter she'd been sitting on to grab some menus, "Hey, preference on where to sit? I can offer you any seat in the house including mine."

Every Night About This Time//OPEN
It was late. Stars shone quietly above her as she walked home from her latest one night stand. Maybe Cass was right that she should learn to drive. Although, tonight she was in no state to drive. So she walked. Her leather jacket, a little burnt and worse for wear, was wrapped tightly around her thin shoulders. Maya wore tight blue jeans along with black boots. It was armor in its own way. Her hair was bound tight in a ponytail.
Someone was following her. She was pretty sure that someone was following her at least. That was the problem with having lived her life in fight or flight for a year. It made a person see enemies everywhere. But it was Greywood. Perhaps a vampire had spotted her and thought her easy pickings. Maya started to walk a little faster. When she spotted someone ahead of her, she breathed a sigh of relief. "Hey," she said in that overly warm way of a desperate person. She lowered her voice, "There's not someone behind me, is there?"

Where: Whatever public place works
Who: Logan and Open
"This ain't Texas, woo! Ain't no hold 'em, hey!" Logan sang as she walked. More like danced really considering how often she was dodging bugs. It had been quite a few years since she'd been back to Greywood and of course something weird started as soon as she settled in on her brother's couch. But it was just par for the course in this town. At least some things didn't change.
"Hey there's no need for violence," she stepped in front of someone trying to swat at the bugs, bees from what she could tell. "These ones are bees, haven't you heard that humans can't survive without bees? So just bee nice." She laughed at her own joke before continuing, "I mean, the flies I get. Maybe even the cockroaches. Those things are creepy."

Boredom quickly set in for Tony, the Baxter had the day off but mostly everyone he knew had plans or were going their own thing leaving the young Baxter to fend for themselves.  With everyone busy as of late, they took it upon themself to bring a little fun back into town with their usual antics.  After going through their closet, they found the Reno 911 police costume and got dressed adding a pair of shades to complete the ensemble.
No surprise, it appeared only the elderly were wandering the streets of Greywood and of course shaking their heads at Tony as they would skateboard by, stopping to give handwritten tickets for not having enough fun.  And there the person was and a bright smile formed.  Maybe today was going to turn around for them.  “Stop in the name of the law!”  They shouted. They then skated towards the other person and kicked up the board into their hand as they flashed a devilish grin. “Looks like you were jaywalking and I might have to write you a ticket, can’t be breaking the law here.”  Tony teased.

Location: Sabor de Flores Time: 00:37 Status: Open to anyone!
The green haired male had been talking without taking a break for at least 4 minutes, talking in detail about how he lost both his parents at a young age, how he has no memory of them and how he feels disconnected to his roots and culture. It was the kind of conversation you would usually hear at a therapists office but instead it was at a bar. Gabe wasn't usually the type to trauma dump on the person sitting next to him but he was 9 tequilas deep and wasn't taking the time to process his thoughts - just letting them carelessly spill out of his mouth like he was in a casual conversation.
"So that's why I'm scared of women - don't get me wrong I love women. They just all seem to know how to make me flustered and shy without even trying. Mommy issues, am I right?" He let out a small laugh and knocked back his drink, "I feel like I owe you about 10 drinks now... you want another?" After he gestured to the empty glass in front of his companion he leaned on the bar with his elbows, holding his face in his hands, "Have you ever seen anyone order milk at a bar before? Or just like... orange juice? That's crazy those are breakfast drinks. Is milk a drink or an ingredient?"
