i know they're white supremacists but (worst possible way to start a sentence) obsessed with the extremely erotic stabbing these twins in green room 2015 get paid to stage to cover a different, worse stabbing the police is on the way for. there's even a breathy "yeah" mid-stab. it's not even the first time they've done it
This was Patrick Stewart’s transition from Frasier Crane to Sideshow Bob and I loved every minute of it. (Ironically, the most recent role I saw PS in was on Frasier, where he played an affluent man trying to seduce Frasier. That was a fun juxtaposition.)
Honestly, this film had a veil of probability which added to the terror. I know that there are some bars like this in Nowhere, USA, that you cannot visit if you are a POC or LGBTQ+. So the dread was very palpable.
The gore was a bit shocking at times, but quick enough that it wasn’t too much. Jumpy views and sharp turns also added to the fear of being hunted. This was a tremendous survivalist piece, with an absolute gut-wrenching last few minutes. Reminding us that people will always be people.
You should watch this film if:
You like A24 horror (so excited for Talk to Me !!!)
Similar Titles:
Prisoners (2013) (similar dread and very anxiety-inducing)
Hereditary (2018) (specifically towards the end, but this one is lead by a much different cult-y type of antagonist)
As if neo nazi groups weren't scary enough. Imagine just being part of a band trying to score some cash only to walk in on a murder. That sucks. but then these poor fuckers got locked in the room with the body, a couple of skin heads, the knowledge the police aren't coming and the red laces are getting mad. Now THAT really sucks. I was a little bored at the beginning, but the action to come after the body reveal certainly made up for it. this film is interesting because although it is a horror film, it doesn't show long glorified shots of the bodies. the film is self-aware enough that death isn't the point of the film. it's survival, and you can tell through the fiming style. I loved this movie despite the fact that it made me remember why I used to have a fear of big dogs.
